Can anyone link me to a place where I can learn data mining?

Anyway until there is a confirmation that there is squad mate romance for gay Scott, it is still a possibility. I have faith in Bioware in this. Needless to say if there is not one, I will be extremely disappointed.

Also I am very dubious on these leaks/claims on romance information. Say if you, as Scott, first flirt with Jaal and he does not reciprocate, that does not necessarily mean that he is not an option. Maybe he's still distrusting you? This might make people who play the game for 3 hours think that Jaal is not an option.

Although I prefer squat mate romance, other NPC romance is not necessarily bad. Yes, there is lack of romance content with Steve and Samantha. But there is also Cullen whose romance is quite great.

What we really need is confirmation. Come on, Bioware.

Anyway, yes I know, and that's why I'll wait for confirmations and factual info. It's just irritating that I and others have to go through all of this. If they would have simply give a chart of options (no names/spoilers - just numbers: x lesbian npcs available, y gay npcs available, z str8 npcs... and male/female ratio... easy peasy). But no. They went with this "we won't say, we will let you discover *giggle giggle*... oh but here are some str8 romances confirmed for Scott just cuz" silly thing which is just frustrating.




Yes I know. I'll probably avoid thinking about it, and focus on other aspects of the game. And yeah, what Tom said... eh. A str8 guy who doesn't get it. Wow, very new, much surprising. I'm sure he would be open to someone explaining to him what's wrong with gay guys being singled out and excluded from the "fun", but then again, maybe he wouldn't, especially in light of recent tweet activity. So meh.

I'm sorry, but its obvious Drack isn't a romance option, since there is always going to be at least one squadmate who isn't a LI.

That just leaves Liam and Jaal as the male LIs on the squad.

And given Tom's tweets, Mac Walter's comments about the romances, and the overall silence from the major devs on strictly m/m content, it should be pretty clear that Liam and Jaal are for Sara only.

Why?

I don't know.

I literally cannot begin to comprehend why they feel a "Full" "Not-scrappy" "not limited" NPC romance is enough to justify gay male players being the only ones, again to not have a romanceable squadmate.

I've tweeted and only got cryptic stuff from Tom that does nothing to quell my fears about the m/m content.

It should also be worth noting, Daveliam's original leak had the m/m scene be with a non-squaddie. Really, that should have sent alarm bells ringing then, but I guess we were all naive and overly optimistic about BioWare actually improving.

If there's no male alien romance (not just a fling, but a full-fledged romance) for the male Ryder I don't think I'm going to buy the game to be honest. I know it's a silly reason but eh, I'm not that interested in ME to begin with. If I can't have a sword battle with my alien bro and then adopt a lot of spaceferrets and live happily ever after with him then what good is this franchise for?! (jk jk, I'm sure it's great please don't pm me about how I'm wrong and shallow or whatever).

It's not silly. You're (presumably) an adult who can make their own choices.

But we now know she is at least attracted to men. Something that they apparently can not say about any of the male squadmates.

Getting hints at female NPCs before we even a word about possible m/m squadmate attractions.
