It's both? And I'm not going to spend 60 dollars if the only thing I'm getting is the space exploration, which I give 0 fucks about. Sorry, I don't really care about sci-fi stuff, but I do care about banging hot dudeliens. I'm much more into high fantasy but high fantasy hasn't really given me the dating sim option lately. Then play a dating sim not mass effect. Jeez so this is where all the crazy from old bsn has wound up. Look, dude, it's easy to say that when you're always going to be represented in video games. LGBT players have few options in general, especially among mainstream video games. This has always been something that Bioware utilized to cultivate a certain reputation. Now that they appear to be regressing, it's no wonder a lot of LGBT people are worried, upset, etc. And the reason we're hyperfixated on romances is because the central LGBT characters tend to be the romanceable ones. That's just how it ended up.  If you are willing to recommend some games and gaming companies that promise just as much if not more LGBT representation than Bioware, feel free to make some recommendations. If you aren't, then you don't really have a dog in this fight. |

What is your problem now exactly?  Really I just don't follow You're just a random dude to me I've never spoken even to before Dude, don't play the victim.  What you said was inappropriate and bringing it into a different topic like this is also inappropriate. Anyhow, if there really are no bi/gay male squadmates like my friend said, then I doubt that Vetra is straight. Even when not taking into account my friend's saying Vetra is bi, Sheryl Chee has a history of writing romances that are for women to some extent: Blackwall, Isabela, Leliana. And all of them preferred women to some extent. Furthermore, Sheryl Chee's writing style does not at all match your "theory" especially since none of her characters ever fit that sexist stereotype, with characters like Oghren being written to be mocked rather than applauded. Furthermore, if Jaal and Cora and Liam and Vetra are all straight, then that would leave Peebee the only bi squadmate, which even I find unlikely. More unlikely than them excluding bi/gay men in the squad. Don't expect me to agree. |

Well, some first hand account for Vetra with BroRyder: SourceYet again, this confirms nothing. It was probably a flirty 'heart option'. Could be a proper romance start, could be a 'femquisitor romancing Dorian' kind of thing. No point jumping to conclusions just yet either way. |

Just out of curiosity, what's the problem with someone being more interested in the romances than in the story? I think the romances add a lot of interesting content and these games wouldn't be the same without it. Actually I started DA and ME games because of the romances, otherwise I think I wouldn't even have thought of buying them. And I also think it would not be fair if there are no m/m romances so I understand if someone doesn't want to buy the game because of that. |

Don't do that again. Thanks. Over and over again we sympathized with Prince's concerns. Some shared concerns of our own over the lack of a squadmate romance for gay men. Some people chose to remind us not to panic because the leaks could be false. As they are purely hearsay from friends of friends. If that's what you mean by "harassment", that's ridiculous. I have no clue who you were talking about attacking about "overreacting" but it certainly wasn't most people there. Prince didn't delete because he was attacked, the leak stress was more than he wanted to deal with. Everyone wished him well and hoped Jaal would actually be bisexual. Frankly, I'm not sure what your problem is but keep it here from now on. |
