Both have a small upper lip und a white strip on their chin Where are you getting that from? I don't recall the other shot of "Dr. Lexi" having that, or how you could even tell because you only see her face from the side.

Squint at her chin area It kind of vaguely looks like a possible line across her lips and chin. Then again, it could just be the lighting.

Yeah, I am in the "both pics are of Lexi" camp. Spoilers just to be safe: We know that we are going to have an asari doctor on board named Lexi. We know that she is one of the first characters that you interact with when the game starts. We know that the first mission is an explosion and crash where we are accompanied by Liam. We clearly have footage of Ryder and Liam in a room with an asari who is dressed in "science clothes" reacting to an explosion. It's kind of a no-brainer that the asari in the original shot is Dr. Lexi. And that asari appears to have no facial markings outside of what appears to be a white stripe on her chin. And now we see a second shot of an asari with a white stripe on her chin dressed in science clothes. But because the clothes are a different color, we don't think that she's Lexi? I don't know.......seems a no-brainer to me. Both of these pics are Lexi.

Both have a small upper lip und a white strip on their chin...I see no reason to expect two different Asaris just because she doesn't always wear the same outfit. I agree. It's very possible and even probable that Dr Lexi gets a new uniform once she switches from the Hyperion to the Tempest. Why would they allow her to keep her old uniform and why wouldn't the Tempest have its own uniform? Maybe we're just finally out of that whole everyone wears the same thing for 2 years during the game thing?

More importantly, that would definitely add to the realism, if it's not too much trouble. I think it's useful to show the passage of time. Like if a character is wearing something else in a later scene, then you know it's probably not the same day (then again, maybe we've got a Barbie in the squad that likes to change their outfit every hour).

After all we have had the ability to change our outfits and the outfits of squadmates since ME2 so maybe MEA has added that option with crewmembers as well.

She has a good look, would totally do some flirt lines if given the opportunity. But yeah, I think to differentiate herself from the other Doctors in the series, she was more of a "team mom," but one who's totally willing to call out the crew's shit if need be.

It's probably Dr. Lexi in both shots. The first screenshot is a little blurry or low quality. The second screenshot looks really cool, so I hope that's here.

She's cute but her upper lip is so small. It would prefer it much bigger and the lower lip a little bit smaller. I suppose it's possible she is making a facial expression or is about to speak. Or that's just the way her lips look. Either way, I think she has a unique and quiet beauty about her and would totally romance her if she's an option. Otherwise, I will simply admire her from afar

I have to say, a small detail that I really like for some reason is the fact her collar is undone. In past games, all the characters who wore this kind of outfit had it completely done up to half their neck but Lexi has it open to the bottom of her neck. I also like how that's where Bioware stopped rather than having it undone to her chest or belly.

She has such an interesting and beautiful design to me. Whoever designed her knocked it out of the park. Really hope she is romanceable to some extent For some reason I always seem to like the older more mature looking Asari. Liara was great, but I was all about Samara in ME2

I like her design, if she is indeed Dr. Lexi but idk... I do not find the concept appealing at all. Never liked doctors that much I guess.

With that picture she looks to be end second stage to early third stage in Asari age ( off the top of my head can't remember names just about 600-800 years old)
Which makes me believe that her job was to actually monitor the Ark. Since in the last trailer they mention something like 600 years makes sense that they keep a doctor on each ark to oversee this since I doubt they kept everyone frozen the whole time.
Also explains why we have an asari doctor on a human ship, no human can live that long.
Now to theorize a reason for a salaries pilot.

Nobody was awake for the voyage, or at least for the majority of it, as far as we know.

Would explain why there are already split factions, the AI killed their families.

So maybe Dr Lexi had a month long shift (with breaks for sleeping, of course), then she goes back into cryostasis, and the AI takes over for a while. Then, another employee wakes up for their month-long shift. Maybe she'd age for some years, but I don't think they'd reasonably expect her to stay awake for 600 years. Or even 400 years, really.

I'm almost positive that Bioware will have all the organics in stasis during the journey and the ship is maintained and crewed by VIs and mechs. We have already seen this in Mass Effect, like for example the Shadow Broker ship having repair drones. It makes a lot more sense then having people awake for centuries since that would require exponentially more resources compared to everyone sleeping.

Maybe, although if I recall the recent batches of info from the articles mentioned we arrive and find the split factions. Either way, Hyperion is too late to be relevant about the split.

They should just have krogan and asari running it we don't need any more ai.

They should just have krogan and asari running it we don't need any more ai. They don't need to use AI. VIs would do the job perfectly, and they have no desires including killing organics. Not to mention shackled AI would have to do only what they are allowed to do. There is no good reason to have organics awake for centuries to be the crew, meanwhile there are many reasons they should be asleep.
