I would assume all Arks would have a similar AI running it, all of them ready and able to kill all humans (or whatever) whenever they want. They should just have krogan and asari running it we don't need any more ai. They don't need to use AI. VIs would do the job perfectly, and they have no desires including killing organics. Not to mention shackled AI would have to do only what they are allowed to do. There is no good reason to have organics awake for centuries to be the crew, meanwhile there are many reasons they should be asleep. Vigil says otherwise.

We don't have the same issues that Vigil had to deal with, and the higher up Protheans programmed him to shut off the pods. He never made his own decisions. Overall, not really comparable.

The split factions are from the Nexus. Hyperion arrived late to the party when the separation already happened. I would assume all Arks would have a similar AI running it, all of them ready and able to kill all humans (or whatever) whenever they want. They should just have krogan and asari running it we don't need any more ai. You're assuming that the problems will be related to that. There is no hint about this howewer. Considerign EDI didn't betray us and the Geth were painted in a different light post ME, I doubt your concerns will be true.

Since we know Drack has prosthetics, do you think there will be a scene or dialogue involving Lexi helping with that? Like for example helping him deal with phantom pain or trying to talk him into getting a cloned whatever he lost and swapping the prosthetic for that?

If the reason for PeeBee's face mark is to hide her eyebrows because other asari made fun of her for it like I saw suggested, I hope Dr. Lexi isn't like those sari. With talk of how the Tempest crew becomes like a family to PeeBee, I think a possible sweet scene could actually be Lexi trying to comfort her about it, telling her she shouldn't feel the need to hide them just to fit in or earn other people's acceptance. Sort of like in movies when someone a girl does that for another girl who tries to change her appearance, like putting on makeup, in order to fit in. Except the makeup in this case is the giant smear of black across her face. What do you all think?

I love friendship stories and I'm pretty intrigued by Lexi's character. She has big shoes to fill (it's that the correct Human English expresion?) because Chakwas was a great character (although she had very limited dialogue in three games). If Lexi interacts way more than Chakwas with the rest of the crew, Lexi will be memorable pretty quickly. I picture Lexi as a very patient and nurturing character. Apologies for moving this. I just wanted to answer this part in greater detail here since this is her thread, not PeeBee's. Yeah, I'm really intrigued to learn about her character and am hopeful that it will be something I like. I was never a huge fan of Dr. Chakwas, but that was more because like you said she got barely any content and a lot of that content wasn't for me like all her drinking stuff.I definitely suspect she will interact a lot more with the crew since we have a smaller ship and it seems every character is getting a lot of focus. I imagine our crew members to be like the advisers of DAI, equal to the squadmates just they don't go out and shoot things with us. I think those attributes are likely. With the crew being like a family, I can see Lexi being something like a confidant for some of the characters. It fits both with being a doctor as well as a more typical asari(since PeeBee is being a counter to them I suspect she'll be more like a typical asari plus we haven't had one yet) particularly if she is a Matron.

I'm really, really hoping we don't have a female character who's like a "mother figure." These characters are adults, for goodness sake. Even if they're young, I don't think we need a female character to act as their surrogate mother.

I just don't want a "motherly figure" especially since female characters often get relegated to being the "motherly, nurturing" figure in fiction.

We need to have one female character be that traditionally feminine character though. So far Cora, PeeBee, and Vetra certainly aren't like that.

I really want Peebee and Lexi to have a friendship, since they are very different asari, but I like friendships like that.

I'm bored waiting for Mass Effect: Andromeda, so I am writing fan fiction revolving around Dr. Lexi. Hypothetically, it takes place in the game during a time where Ryder and the Tempest are busy in a colonization/exploration effort of one of the seven potential habitat worlds. Everyone is busy in helping set up an initial base camp near the sort of rocky valley we've seen a few times, most recently in the gameplay trailer where Ryder, Cora and Liam fight with those enemies and Ryder uses tactical cloak and stuff. Anyway, whilst everyone else is busy setting up the base camp, Drack is eager to explore and kill some stuff. Peebee is also eager to explore, thinking there could be some ruins or such in the valley. Dr. Lexi advises against it, but naturally isn't able to stop Drack or Peebee once their minds have been made up. At the very least, Dr. Lexi makes sure Drack and Peebee are well supplied with water so they don't get dehydrated on the arid planet. She also secretly puts a tracker in their packs so they don't get lost, or she knows where they are if the don't come back later on. Unfortunately, Ryder and the rest of the squad are preoccupied with a bandit raid on the base camp, just as Drack and Peebee request aide as well from the valley. To get a very long synopsis short, its a kinda fanfic where Dr. Lexi is forced to rescue Drack and Peebee, but instead of fighting, she relies on her instincts and intelligence to navigate a section of the valley crawling with enemies to safely rescue Drack and Peebee. She also discovers water weakens an hostile alien species they encounter, and uses water as her defense of choice

Yeah Bioware has had similar friendships in the past with these suspected character types and I've always really liked them, like Isabela and Merrill and Leliana and Josephine. This would also be a neat twist on that kind of friendship since in the past usually the more roguish one is older where in this case they would be the younger of the two.

Also, I see in your story that PeeBee and Drack fall captive to the aliens from Signs.

🚀Fryda Wolff @frydawolff @gamedammeister Sorry, 1 to 10 I can't talk about the game! So 11.

Can I just say I am happy we are finally getting Asari with real faces? Alltge other Asari apart from main characters were all based on real peope but the rest looked all similar ,same preset model with minor changes here and there. (That also goes to humans...no more samey looking fake premade NPCs please)

Apparently the only thing that can kill the aliens is water. Yeah, it's like acid to them, one drop hurts them like crazy! Hmm, probably should have thought that through before attacking a planet *picture of Earth shows up* MOSTLY COVERED IN WATER!"

I've been wondering the first bit myself, especially Lexi and Kallo, who I think are going to be my two new fave crewmembers

Lexi, other than being the medic, maybe could use certain medical chemicals as a way to subdue enemies. Plus being an asari she has biotics. The science officer could also be the one who creates science stuff to use as weapons. The engineer(I'm assuming we have one) can be able to hack through the things like the locks. Those are the only crewmembers I know of or think we will have at minimum.

With the embargo being lifted in just over half a day and the beginning of the game being among the things the gaming article companies can talk about, here's hoping they talk about Dr. Lexi since we know she is in the beginning and chances are they spent time aboard the Tempest.
