Maybe it's because I'm an old, but I don't see "mom hair/shitty customer" memes with Cora, I see Tasha Yar with a bitchin' 80s cyberpunk haircut (this is a good thing).

Yeah it looks pretty modern and funky to me. She wears it well. I think those who are complaining about it being too edgy/teen/emo have more valid complaints than those comparing it to trashy mother memes.

As usual it seems to come down to personal preference. I would be interested in seeing a poll regarding Cora's hair. I never thought of any memes when I saw her hair. I just thought it was plain butt ugly. I am jealous of those of you who find it good looking because I can't look at a picture of her without staring at the hair and shaking my head.

I noticed a lot of talk about Cora's hair, so I'm gonna weigh in, even though no one cares.
It's a shitty haircut.
But far be it from me to tell someone else how to style their hair. As long as she's not my character, I don't really care.

Nice outfits, especially Cora's. I laughed my ass off when his eyes went derp after I stabbed him in Infinite Warfare.

Be forewarned, I'm gonna sound like a pig and probably an idiot here, and that's usually not me. But here goes... I don't think you're a pig for thinking that way. I don't get the outrage over portraying characters as physically beautiful, male or female. It doesn't get my back up against the wall when someone built like a tank (James Vega?) wears a tight shirt that shows off his physique. I'm not going to think: "Oh, that's what I should look like! Now I'm sad " I like eye candy in the media content I peruse. And so do others. Which is why video games, movies, television, magazines, advertising, etc., is ripe with it. All that said, I think both Cora and Peebee look great. So it's a matter of taste!

I have zero problems with everyone being drop-dead gorgeous. I love that in my media. Beautiful people are a pleasure to watch, it's that simple. I've never gotten jealous or upset at seeing beautiful people on screen or in video games, or even in real life, for that matter. Whenever I see someone who is ridiculously attractive (male or female), I'm all like....

Bonus points for romance-specific attire. More like bonus points for being 'fully functional', and 'trained in various techniques'. Good job, Dr. Soong.

Still, Liara was given a suit and in that one shot of PeeBee it looks like she is in armor so there is a little hope for the neck down fitting logic and lore.

I don't understand why they don't just wear casual clothes in casual situations, like Shepard, Inquisitor, Hawke, etc... Seriously, what does combat armor even exist for if everyone is just too cool to wear it? Really cheapens the integrity of it all.

It doesn't even need to be combat armor, since most protection during battle comes from shields/barriers anyway. But the lore says that in order to be protected from hostile environments a person needs to wear a fully-sealed suit. Mass Effect 1 did this, but since ME2 the lore has sadly been thrown away for the Rule of Cool.

I know they kinda abandoned that rule in ME2 and 3 by allowing you to punch through shields, but I seem to remember melee doing health damage in the first game, regardless of whether or not they had shields up. Combat armor is totally viable. Especially in a scenario where if you die, your loved ones are a 600 year trip away. I would think self preservation would take priority over looking cool. Especially when the "cool" part is up for debate. I personally hate the breathers. I actively go out of my way to avoid taking companions with them along on missions where they're required. Pretty sure that's not what Bioware wanted to happen.

Pretty sure that's not what Bioware wanted to happen. Yes, kinetic barriers only protect a person from fast-moving objects, to avoid situations like sending a chair flying across the room if they try to sit down as an example used by the Codex. I'm not saying they shouldn't wear combat armor since it is useful for things other than combat, just that someone could go without armor and fit the lore as long as they have at least a fully-sealed suit. Just like real life where astronauts don't need to be wearing armor while in space but do need a fully-sealed space suit. As for self-preservation, clearly there was a disagreement among the higher ups of the Andromeda Initiative about what is enough considering we carry guns and yet the Nomad and Tempest do not. Better hope whatever we run across and can't run from can be taking down by infantry-level weaponry. I do the same. I always read the planet description to see if it is hazardous. If it is, I only bring people who are fully protected since otherwise we have people going around in attire that should result in their injury or death within minutes. Unfortunately that is something that could be easily rectified but Bioware doesn't seem interested in following their lore.

I don't get the complaining about Peebee, though I do think the name is dumb, she looks great imo.
Problem is, I agree with Hanako. She should be wearing something more appropriate for exploration of space when needed. So I hope there are alternate outfits for the squadmates.

@hanako Ikezawa
I suppose it is still practical. I just would prefer that people take as many precautions as they can on a hostile never been explored alien planet. It's not like you're really being unreasonable by asking your crew to be properly protected before engaging in a mission anyway, lol. If anyone actually wanted to give Ryder shit for it, I'd happily tell them they weren't welcome along with the ground team.
I was honestly really bothered by the Nomad not having guns. The Tempest too, but at least it's floating around in space. For all the MW people know, there aren't going to be any alien ships to fight off, but surely they expected that having to leave your armored vehicle when being attacked by something akin to a Thresher Maw in favor of an assault rifle would be ludicrously stupid.
Not to mention how it fits into the game from a design perspective. It completely breaks the flow of the game to have to artificially go from combat to exploration as if they're two completely different games... no idea what Bioware is thinking there...

Seeing Peebee's real name I can now kind of see why she would want to go by a nickname. I think I'll probably like her, but I'm still not 100% sure.
