Overwatch

I've learned to be proficient with Lucio and Mercy for that reason. Or really just because some people refuse to heal (Just got a POG as Lucio btw, yay!)

I actually just got off a game where we desperately needed a second healer (I was Mercy) but nobody switched. There was a guy playing Symmetra, but he refused to switch and later said he would only switch to play DPS. Of course one of the other players was swearing at him over voice chat and that's probably why he left the match, followed by two others.

So... that was fun.

If I ever did a Reaper montage, you'd get really, really triggered.

To be fair, he probably needed some kind of nerf although I would have nerfed Take A Breather instead of his damage.

Well at least Reaper is getting buffed, sort of.

Congrats! The revive that got me the 4 revive chievo was a x5 one as well. It took me ages to be able to get it too.

I did once come up against a Mercy who got the full team Rez.
She then emoted while I dropped down and killed all 6 with a Death Blossom.

To get back to the topic of what people play in comp, I try to be as versatile as possible myself. So I can play one or more heroes in every class to just support the team. Even though I have a quick PC that means I usually fill up the last slots. The following characters are the ones I regularly play in competitive. Ranked from most playtime to least per class:

DPS: Pharah, Mccree, Soldier, Tracer, Reaper
Defence: Mei
Tank: Zarya, Roadhog, D.Va, Winston
Support: Ana, Zenyatta, Lucio

I hate Genji, Widowmaker and Hanzo so I will never play them in comp. Even though I can be a pretty effective Widow, I just have a really strong dislike for snipers in FPS games. Don't really like Mercy's playstyle so I almost never play her. (Sorry Bunny ) Symmetra is also not my cup of tea and with Reinhard I always have the feeling there is too much pressure on your shoulders which makes him unenjoyable for me. I'd rather be the guy behind the shield picking everyone off or the second tank. Junkrat's just in a bad spot right now. Even though it seems I play a lot of DPS I actually almost always play tank. Except for when my Mercy main friend wants me to play Pharah. Then it's almost an instant win.
