Hey Pres, nice to see you again.Sadly enough we can't do the same with MEA.Haven't played that crap since April.Would've been great if MEA was close to ME3MP as joy and quality.I miss the old days when i started all those challenges and when i was a clueless scrub.Hate you biovar and EA especially.I totally loved themed challenge thread, the best on BSN.I won't tire of repeating this.

They did nerf it, yes. However it's easy to forget that they buffed it in the end, so DPS is almost the same as pre-nerf. What "killed" that weapon is increased recoil (almost twice) and lower ROF. Also there's no x2 zoom anymore. I wasn't around here when this happened but I saw some video footage, and that gun was a beast. I find it still okay-ish on infiltrators and soldiers but it's not the same of course. Also I can experience pre-nerf Krysae in SP, as I have bought all weapon dlcs with my old Biover pts

Other projectile weapons work way better (Scorpion, Falcon, etc) Considering that I seem to remember docsteely was one of those who encouraged me to try out the Wraith on the Geth Engineer, so that I could finally develop some affection for it, I just wanted to chip in with the fact that I've had a reasonable amount of fun combining the Krysae and my favourite Toaster, with Incendiary ammo obviously preferable. No wall-hacking, but otherwise pretty effective, and I wouldn't think of it as painful. Nothing gets close. I mean physically nothing gets close - there are still better options, and I admit I never used the Krysae pre-nerf, so my tolerance may be higher than those who did.

Other projectile weapons work way better (Scorpion, Falcon, etc) And don't forget among the better options the Lord Venom. I'd trade anytime a Krysae X for a Venom III. I find it shines best on power classes when used as a primer, but even in that role it is painfully underwhelming. Grunt, the RoF increase of the TSol's Marksman is 50%, while the GEngie's HM is 15%. I specifically took the Krysae with IncAmmo 'cause I thought about the AoE and firebooms I could do. It is fun but far from effective.

Chipping in to agree with GruntKitterhand's GE suggestion The RoF increase might be modest compared to the TSol's, but it does not lock you out of your other powers, so you can keep priming-detonating, deploying the turret, using overload to buy you time when caught reloading under pressure; the TSol has to rely almost solely on the gun for dps, which I found lackluster when I had to use this combo for the "Shadow of a Kabalim" duo. That said, I think Reapers are the worst faction for the Krysae, because so many units are unaffected by its stagger. It shines against Cerberus, and does quite well with the other two factions as well though! Congrats docsteely on the 10WS! I personally like Vancouver, esp with sniper rifles - good lines of sight, and many objectives are relatively easy on this map, so I do encourage you to try this one again with the mighty Widow

N7 Challenge Series: SITREPSo I said earlier, in Challenge Thread, that I put my series run on hold, mostly because my shitty controllers. Welp, I managed to finish another two. N5 - Omega Forces I. Bray-Fist (Batarian Vanguard with Raider)32:30 - Sonashii (271 537 pts) | 10 WSThat one was, the easiest, more fun (for me) challenge so far Yes, there's a noticeable lack of falcon punching those toasters, but I don't regret it. Actually at one point I started to be a little bit cocky II. Kill Them! (Vorcha Hunter Engineer with Executioner Pistol and BP Punisher)50:16 - Sonashii (262 897 pts)I wasn't looking forward to this, to be blantly honest. It took me a couple of tries, as you might imagine there was a lot of cursing and all that funky stuff I tried different builds and equipment. Faster shields reload wasn't working for me as I hoped. So I ended up with dem cyclonic IV. Yes, you're not hallucinating - cyclonic IV + Responder Loadout. Well it made a difference, as I could survive a couple more hits from mooks, and my shields weren't down. Also RL was in my way during this run, so I had to alt-tab a couple of times, to see if important e-mail showed up. So I didn't record bugged phantoms on wave 10 coz I forgot to turn back on the recording That almost costed my run, but due to some miracle they probably fell off the map or something. Don't care, I'm not redoing it. If not that I would finish this run in like 48-49 mins I believe. Anyways, with that bull out of my way, it's time to took my Cabal for a spin... one day

N4 - Vital SignsIII. Annihilation (Hardcore)39:14 -DocSteely Retrieval - Targets - Devices You'd hope that for your first game after being sick you'd get some leeway from the RNG trolls gods. It was not the case: not only did I get targets on W6 and devices on W10, but I did not get one good spawn to nuke the whole game. Oh, well, moving on...

Oh c'mon, I suffered enough I think I didn't need to deal with explo ammo on top of my scrubby gameplay. Why don't you show us the true power of that ammo by doing 6.III Ash with it? Step on it soldier! And whad do you mean by explosive penetration? Is it something like - you shoot Phantom, it penetrates her and explodes inside her? You should double-check that!

N4 - Vital SignsII. Morning War (Hardcore)45:47 -DocSteelyDevices - Retrieval - Targets But first I should post this (that happened in the game before): Fail with 25s to go: was out of all consumables, sneaky Pyro plus Drone ... I thought about calling it a day, but decided to give it one more try and you can see the result. I hate the map-enemy combo and just thinking about what this challenge would be on platinum (W2 anyone?) fills me with admiration for those who managed it...

In fact that challenge is not that hard on Plat.If you survive past 4 wave with enough consumables everything will be fine.Plus this character is a killing machine.I did it with GS both times-original run and the redo, but if i have to redo it now i will equip 5 more grenades. Will be much faster. There is one challenge from weekly themed solos on Legendary, which is similar, but is a nightmare.Turian soldier with mantis vs geth/hydra.20 or 21 week i think.QME kills everything for seconds and here you have only that sniper. You need to run and run and run,but only if you have a luck.Otherwise ,stagger, stagger down, stagger, stagger down, stagger stagger alt+F4. There isn't time under 60 min,so it is 60 (and more) munites of fun joy, party( read as pain, stress and anger) Had to grind it like 10-12 times. When i finally did it,i realized that Ash and Morining war are walk in the park.

There isn't time under 60 min,so it is 60 (and more) munites of fun joy, party( read as pain, stress and anger) Had to grind it like 10-12 times. When i finally did it,i realized that Ash and Morining war are walk in the park. Ash is a pain in my damn ass with those randomly flanking Assault Troopers. Wave 4 can go right to hell too.

Use GS and no grenade build with disruptor mantis. Also i just compared Ash and Morning war on Plat to another challnge which is much harder in my opinion, but on plat only few challenges can be considered as "easy".

So glad I'm done with Ash...thinking about it and the missed 5 WS on wave 5 gives me nightmares.

That's the build I'm using, I just get tunnel vision/overzealous at times sadly. Clyde I feel ya, I failed my first (and best) attempt with like 5 enemies left at the most. Hit by random Atlas rocket and Nemesis shot at the same time, and then a trooper decided he was going to run around the corner and shoot me before I could get out of the rocket stun and activate Adrenaline Rush...so frustrating.

In my opinion cerb are the only faction which is not much easier on gold.On plat is a little bit harder, but on gold cerb is still hard.So don't surrender, you can do it.Just play more carefully the first 5 waves.I love cerberus,so my favorite challenges were vs them except N7 1.Glacier+weak human character and many phantrolls and goons is a bad combo even with lolcolyte.
