Yet another Ariake flop over the weekend. The silly W7 bumrush strikes (!) again. Caught in crossfire by the trucks with my pants do- shield boost, shield boost on cooldown. A really weird game overall. Started off quite well bu then things started getting progressively uhm... laggy over the course of it. That's probably the best way to describe the experience. With all the usual bull we get in a really laggy game, but on host. Not yet to the point of getting unplayable but still quite annoying overall. Couldn't get myself to commit to another run after 45 mins of the slog Apry, this challenge is first and foremost for your endurance.  45min is nothing... Thanks for cheering me up Doc. Not!!  I'm quite aware, and am in for a long run. tbh won't be surprised if i hit 2 hours on it when i finally get it done. And am mentally and otheriwse prepared. Well, sort of. Kinda. ..ish. Anyways, What i have come to conclude, and since resigned to, that if when i do manage to progress reasonably far, like in the most recent case, and fail then going for a rerun straight on the back of it is ...not productive, i guess. It think it's the combination of getting tired, no fun had along the way (that's right the damn thing is no fun at all), coupled with the low risk low rewards gampelay, as well as the overall duration that kills the focus and results in early failures and consumables waste on the consequent attempts. W3 objectvies is where i set threshold for myself, up to that i'd give it another go otherwise either call it a day or do something else

out of curiosity tried a stasisless build. died to a marauder's midair volley fired just as he was gracefully jumping/falling/stumbling off that balcony thingie......................... wave 2. good show. burningcherry, thanks for the advice but like Doc's saying up there Ariake's all about endurance aboe anything else. there ain't anything partiluarly puzzling or challenging about any of the waves per se that would be worth spending time figuring your way around. it's just your usual objectives lottery you're up against, a shitty weapons kitout, and the 10ws required to complete. so as you can imagine opting to playing even more waves no top of everything is ...counterintuitive. it's ad nauseum already as it is you'd not want to add more to it oh and you should give the series a try too btw. dis all good fun. ahem. most of the time that is.... |

I was talking only about the N7 challenges, Doc. All of the other N7 challenges have some "oomph" to them, some fun (yep, even 183 pull-ups, cuz nades  ...). But this one? Weakest volus with a crappy shotgun (Shuriken is not a weapon it's a fart) vs the weakest faction on Gold on the most difficult (classic) map in the game: IT"S BORING!!!  Admit it: the only real test in this one is for your endurance...

Yes,N7's,weekly themed solos(no matter epic or legendary),Weekly Themed Solos 2,Neufchatel etc,etc. All of them don't require medals and WS. Note that there are challenges which require medals even on plat,like blackwatch,capn,x3lander's FFTL.There were one or two more series which require,in all other series are waived.

Not only the ravagers.This wall is bugged and all enemies with projectile weapons like,Primes,Banshees,Atlasses,Crabs could kill you through this wall.In general Condor is a buggy map.Well desinged IMO,but buggy.

The biggest killer here is the concentration.9 wave is a nice result. |

Well spent 75min. running around and killing enemies here and there but no payday for me. 75 min for wave 9 is a nice time. I got mine down from 99 to 79 min, but it was with a suboptimal build and I haven't posted it yet. I wanted to try for sub 70 with either all fitness no balls build or all balls no fitness. But then I got fed up with the game, uninstalled it and am now sinking several hundred hours into Pathfinder : Kingmaker. Will probably try again after some time.
As muahmuah said, concentration and endurance is the key. The problem for me is that I find the volus kits detestable and the weapon loadout is not much better here, either. Unkillable disgusting little ball of fat meets mind-numbing endless kiting. I wanna puke.
p.s. Do yourself a favor and watch clusum's video in its entirety. It's highly educational when it comes to play-style for this challenge.

But seriously that was a brainfart allright. Starting with perching at that ledge and potshoting the spawn and only got more ridiculous from there. and to give that ravager some credit the parting shot wasn't even an aoe, he managed to mailslot it inbetween those two plates instead. madskilz 60fps 360 noscope

Best summary of this challenge. My objective luck is already consumed so next time it will be double targets. Can´t wait for that.
