Poor broShep - he actually has to think about what to get for Ashley whereas femShep just buys what's available. Maybe that means Kaidan is less picky?

Kinda bummed I missed the gift- I only have 3 saves right now: Start, Just after Visit with Kaidan but before 1st Talk with Thane (for repeat purposes), and my most recent save. But the second PT will probably be for a Kaidan Romance anyway, so maybe it'll just make it that much more special to save it for then. Wasn't going to play tonight because of a Get Together from Work at a Resturant. But then I remembered why I don't go places on Friday nights. Who wants to yell at their friends just to talk when they are only a foot away? will never understand. Ate a meal in Sound Blasted inner quiet, made my apologies, paid my bill and left. My voice and ears are happier for it. Off to save the Galaxy.

Just for safety, I also suggest you make a backup of your save files yourself. Just go to your Documents folder, then to ".\BioWar\Mass Effect 3\" and copy the entire "Save": folder (it shouldn't be very big). Just in case.

I'm wondering if I can't somehow finish ME3 before it goes. I don't know how long the game will take. I can already tell it's organized differently than 2 by a long shot and I'm feeling a bit lost. I've been given like 10 missions all at once and I guess I have the freedom to do them all in nearly any order. Except they all sound super important. There I am trying to save a troop gone missing under fire when I remember an entire academy of school children is already in peril and I'm like @_@ Of course, all this is imagined/perceived hurry up danger because you all told me that time isn't actually like that in the game.

Actually, broShep might have to do this with Kaidan. At least, that's my experience. BroShep can also give Kaidan a gift, just as FemShep can give Ashley a gift (despite not being able to romance her at all). It's just that Shepard doesn't have to pluck the "right" gift from a long list of them. There's only one gift in the store inventory when Kaidan is alive, as opposed to 7 different gifts to pick from for Ashley.

But that crying scene is a reason my Shepard never romanced him. Given an existing relationship Steve has with another crew member, that person would have been better equipped to help. Or, ya know, a certain other person might have been introduced to Steve on the Citadel docks who you could have said was his new grief counselor.

Yes I did, and I even picked the nice answer. It's just he's listening to his husband's final death moments on loud speakers in a cargo bay- these sorts of torturing yourself moments should be saved for your private quarters. Except then Shepherd wouldn't be able to overhear etc etc I know. It was done poorly. I think you posted directions a page back, I'll go looking.

I've heard he's a great romance and he's definitely a good friend but that part was off-putting. It seemed weird because they'd never have put Kaidan, Thane, Jacob, BroShep, Garrus or James in that position.

dragontartareI went looking up thread and all I found was that I could upload the save there. I've been using my google drive but only it's google documents as the equivalent of Microsoft Word. So, I just drag a copy of the save from computer to Google Drive Folder, yes? In other news, I finally figured out where I bought the computer from. Amazon! yay. Don' tknow yet if that is actually where I send it to, but at least the reciept/date of purchase is well documented.

Steve is a great guy. Granted, he might be a bit awkward at first. There's only one cringy part in his romance for me (the scene locking in his romance, ironically) but after that it's enjoying the relationship the two have together, not wallowing in the past. It's not gratuitously flirtatious beforehand like you might think. Besides, Shepard could be a total mess too. Maybe just only in your head, but still.

phoray Make sure you are in drive.google.com, not docs.google.com. There should be an upload button where you can choose to upload individual files or even an entire folder. As far as Steve...wow. His lover died and he's not allowed a human moment?? They are safe on the Normandy, not in the middle of a fire fight. When my grandfather died, I started to cry at work, too. I'm so glad my co-workers were more understanding than some of you.

That's kinda mean there, dragon. He was intentionally playing his lover's dying words over loud speaker in the work place on repeat and letting the tears fall. I'm sure that is NOT what you did and if you had, people would encourage you to stop. I've been emotional at work too- the first dead person I ever found had me in a ball in the bathroom for an hour. LAst year, my dog of 14 years died and I went to work very sad and shed a few tears on my lunch break. The dog before that had me switch shifts so I could have space to grieve. But all of that was with people I knew more than 5 seconds. I mean, this scene is literally the second time I've met the man . The Scene was Awkward as Hell. Some people are inspired by the Dawn Will Come scene and other people thought it was super creepy and awkward.

He's not playing it over the the speaker, you're overhearing it. It just sounds super loud -- it doesn't sound as loud in the cutscene. James is also already a friend, so other than a few red shirts in the back of the Shuttle Bay Shepard is the one walking in on him rather than him broadcasting it. It just seems that way because it's a game.

Some people are inspired by the Dawn Will Come scene and other people thought it was super creepy and awkward. I wasn't trying to offend, but I don't think it's mean to be glad that my coworkers were more understanding I think Steve's little corner of the bay is probably a lot more private than the dorm where all the crew have to sleep, though it may have been a better writing decision to have this scene happen in one of the observation lounges rather than where he works. Still, even in the lounge, any other crew member -- including Shepard -- could have walked in at any time and overheard him crying anyway, which I gather is the part you find awkward. As SpiritVanguard said, Steve is not actually broadcasting this. It's just loud so the player can hear it...another odd writing decision, maybe. They could have had Steve listening with headphones and give Shepard the chance to ask what he was listening to. But it is Shepard, after all, who comes over to ask questions if my memory serves. Steve doesn't go to Shepard about it. Anyway...you find the scene awkward, whereas I find it cold to expect him to just get over it (especially given that there is no truly private place on the Normandy for him to grieve). We'll probably just have to agree to disagree Did you have any success with Google Drive?

Some people are inspired by the Dawn Will Come scene and other people thought it was super creepy and awkward. Keep in mind that it doesn't always trigger the the second time a player talks to him though. It changes a bit depending on what order the player does missions in. It usually occurs for me after I've done both Priority: Palaven and N7: Cerberus Lab or Priority: Palaven and Grissom Academy. In my most recent playthrough, where I did "From Ashes" as my very first mission after Priority: Mars, the conversation triggered on my 4th visit to the cargo deck. The scene is somewhat awkward... but we don't know what James and Steve may have been doing or talking about that might have lead Steve to dragging out the recording. James and Cortez are long-time friends... we should know that by this time from the conversation with James after sparring with him... so, perhaps James put his foot in it and said something that triggered the overtly emotional response from Steve... and then James called Traynor to get Shepard down to help him settle Steve down again.

That may have made it less awkward, if I'd been ASKED to go down there. As it was, I walk in just making my tour of the ship and he's bawling.

It may be that she had to tell you about some other mission opening up first... so sometimes it's a good idea to walk by closer to her station (and talk to her) both when heading forward to speak with Joker and when returning to head down the elevator to talk with others. She quite often has an a second comment to make. I did prefer the way they handled Kelly's notices about the crew better... that is, Kelly would repeat them if a conversation was manually triggered and Shepard asked if there was anything to know. Traynor doesn't do that. The notifications just get blurted out when you walk by. Triggering a conversation with her will sometimes give you a more in-depth discussion with her about missions and her private opinions, but there is no opportunity to get her to repeat a comment about what the crew might need Shepard to do.
