But now I guess I get Geth War Assets. Legion being Legion but not Legion is a bit depressing. I personally define "a person" as their collection of memories. So it's like a zombie Legion is walking around and his lack of memory more sad than his actual death. Do I need to finish all these fetch quests before I attack the Geth Reaper signal ship? Refresh my memory - Did Legion die during the Suicide Mission in ME2? Also, re Citadel fetch quests - you should be able to drop any of them off anytime between now and when you start the endgame run (point of no return we keep talking about). The concern with the earlier ones was because if the Citadel Coup that trigger right after you do Priority Tuchanka. Yep. I had picked Legion instead of Tali for the Engineer Tube part. I overestimated a connected AI interface as being more capable at quick calculations than an organic. I still think that, honestly, but I guess Tali being a special snowflake took precedence over logic. Good to know

Maybe I picked squad leader for him.

She's not a good team leader because she works alone... so Legion died because you selected her on that leg of the mission; not due to any shortcomings in his skills. At any rate... maybe grab a box of kleenex now. I'm not sure how this will play out exactly with the Geth VI instead of Legion (no doubt themikefest could tell you for sure), but I think it could be a rough choice coming up.

I was picking up on some clues during that mission with Legion-2, when I kept getting all this info about the Geth. I'm sensing a Quarian VS Geth choice coming up. Offhand, I'd side Geth. The Quarians started their problems when they freaked out about that first Geth not turning itself off. But another thing, they're only at war with the Geth in ME3 because they refused to give up a homeworld NONE of them have seen. They'd be halfway to being acclimated to a new star system, or maybe even completely done, but no. They have to weaken themselves in their little bubbles. But then I remember the Reapers can just blow their horn and take over the Geth? So, it's a bit like the Grey Wardens in DAI. When Cory could control their mind, should you really be keeping them around? Except DAI doesn't punish you for keeping them. I have a feeling ME3 probably would. Flying by the seat of my pants. Let's go.

I know it's Tali homeworld but the Geth were born here too. Now I feel like I'm attacking to steal a planet from it's natives.

Does everyone die a million times at the Reaper vs Shepherd targeting? Just me? it's tricky to learn, but once you get onto the trick of it, it's not too bad. You don't have to keep the thing pointed at the reaper the whole time. Just point and start the scan and when you see the reaper starting to aim toward you, stop your scan, turn and run while counting to 5 or 6 (depending on difficulty). Then turn back to face the reaper and start your scanner again (it will pick up where it left off). Rinse and repeat in that same rhythm. When he moves in closer, the timing gets a little shorter, but its the same sort of deal. Aim, scan, run while counting, turn, aim, scan. (You don't have to scope in though with the left trigger on the Xbox to scan.) Other people do combat rolls rather than run so they can continue to look toward the reaper. I'm more successful at running. You want to be timing you scans so you're doing them when the laser is up in the air above your head.

I died like 20 times but finally figured out that the scan picks up where it left off. Now that that is done... Sometimes I don't like being right. they never explain whether or not the Reapers could regain control of the Geth regardless of their new free will. So that risk is still on the table. The Geth aren't... Quite full blown life yet.... I feel like this choice is so forced. >_<

Yes
and
No
That one is weird - sometimes I get it in one go, other times I have to do it several times. I wish that part had been a cutscene instead of what they made it.
I've found a couple ways to do it. First is, stand in one spot somewhere towards the front in the middle and don't move hardly at all. When the beam gets near you, roll the other way. The other way is to run around like a nut avoiding the beam. Wherever you leave off on the targeting, you start there when you re-target. So, target, run away when the beam gets close, re-target once the beam passes you. It takes longer but you might die fewer times. The closer to the center you hold the target, the faster it closes in.

Considering organics can be indoctrinated, I don't really see the geth as any more of a risk than an organic race. The difference is the scope. Since geth communicate via ftl networks, what happens to one can happen to them all in a very short time. Just because one organic gets indoctrinated, doesn't mean everyone he talks to will be too.

Took a bathroom break. Tried to call Husband for a "lifeline" to discuss it with someone who doesn't know anything at all about the game, he didn't pick up. I lifted the controller and highlighted "upload the code." It's in the Paragon spot.. pondering if it's like the Krogans vs the Salarians but I have a feeling it's more like... 100% death for the side I don't pick.

I saw no purpose in painting the target. When it was fired upon the first time, the thing fell over. It looked to be destroyed. Apparently Bioware wanted to take it a step further. Shepard paints the target. It gets hit. It doesn't fall over like it did the first time. Why? It happens again a couple more times until Shepard and the reaper can kiss each other. Now it falls over destroyed. Was all that done because it looked cool? As Sovereign says. Its something you cannot comprehend. You know what would have been cool? tell me themikefest. I will. The reaper fires its beam of doom horizontally at Shepard instead of vertically killing Shepard.

Bad as Bio's boss fights typically are, their alternatives are often worse.
