It makes perfect sense. He's the bearded badass dude who looks ordinary and not badass, hence the nondescript Big Boss. I guess I kinda get what you mean. I'm gonna make him look like Big Boss now, though. Good luck with that. You can't directly customize him, his look is based on the look of the Ryder you chose to play as. |

IIRC, you can CC your PC and your sibling, and DadRyder changes automatically to resemble your PC. Edit: I'm sloooow.  |

I remember hearing we were able to customize all three Ryders. Nope; his face changes automatically based on how you customize your Ryder. You have full control of the siblings. I don't think he looks that bad though. He simply looks old. The nose might be something related to light. |

The plastic skin is probably an artistic choice to compensate for not having the best graphics, similar to how Fallout 4 decided to go in their art direction. It's better than trying to look photo realistic and failing, I think. Plus, it fits in with the more lighthearted space adventures Andromeda is going for. It isn't perfect, by any means, but it's a good compromise, imho. Her lips are a bit big, but I still feel that looks more like an imperfection than plastic surgery. She has a very cheerful and goofy vibe for me. To each their own though, I suppose. |
