Watching the briefing I was like, YES! it is Suvi maybe this is why they did not shown her yet? Oh wait..... sigh.
Also a little late for the party but now I always do non-straight romances, if the game allows it. There are exactly two romances I liked in all the games I played that are straight, Geralt/Yen and Enzio/Sofia. Also favorite romance was FemHawke/Isabela. No other bested that one till now, although FemShep/Liara come really close.

I wonder if any of her family members came along with the Andromeda initiative, and if the rest of her family is religious or if she was the odd duck in this regard. i'd like it if some of her family came along! i think we've all had enough of daddy issues (lol) but it'd be cool to meet more of the siblings of our friends/potential lovers. sounds like her parents are both scientists and probably have a pragmatic outlook on life, so she might be an odd duck wrt religion? but beliefs spring from somewhere, and family is the most obvious choice. |

I doubt there's anything that would get me to leave Earth. The only thing that might get me to leave is if all my family members were to go. The other thing is I would miss watching football. One thing that would be hard to cope with is that after waking up after 600 years, you realize that your family has been dead for a very long time. It would take time to get use to that. |

Interestingly, although I'm a straight man and so theoretically I'm catered for everywhere, I'm a tall-ish man with a narrow build and I don't really identify with or aspire to be the "gruff musclebound male military hero with a buzzcut" archetype, so I also take the opportunity to step away from it whenever I can. I think that's part of the reason why I have actually tended to prefer to play as women in recent BioWare games. I've played as both genders in all the games but my canon has lately been female, and I do tend to prefer it if I actually fancy the love interest so they've all ended up being lesbians. My recent canons are Femshep and Liara, sarcastic female Hawke and Isabela, and an Elven mage with Sera (yes that last one needed a very particular world view to work.) Only in DAO is my canon hero male, a circle mage who romanced Morrigan. I think that could actually change with this game, as I do find myself liking both VAs pretty much equally, and the Ryders don't seem like such typical military-style protagonists. I'm actually not sure which gender I'll choose for my first playthrough... I also don't like playing Gears of War type of "real man", so I just create more boyish, a little bit androgynous male characters. Doesn't mean they have weak personality, though. Regarding playing as female, I, unsurprisingly, end up having other females as LI, too. The only exception is my last playgthrough of DA 2, where I intended to romance Merril for the first time and ended with Anders in my Hawke's bed. It was such a strange experience, honestly, as I was thinking only about Hawke's attraction to the LI, unlike with Miranda, where both I and my renegade Shep found Miranda extremely hot. |
