Gore gets boring fast and makes me giggle. I laughed my way through Witcher 3 at how silly it all looked. I prefer a nice dark and morbid backstory that lets your mind horrify you more than seeing the images.

There's already blood in that first gameplay trailer, and the ESRB rating has blood and gore I think. Sometimes though, less is more......kind of like sex scenes: I bloody j'adore fucking, but in a game I like it to fade to black to keep some mystery* * Except Unicorn sex, give me the full monty on that shit all day, erryday...Team Yen!

Also, I just gotta ask: what in the seven hells is "tastefully done gore"? When the killer says "sorry for the inconvenience" after hacking someone's head off?

I don't mind gore, but it doesn't need to mortal kombat levels silly. In fact I think in general Mass Effect 1-3 could have be a bit more gory, but I don't think it would have improved the game too much.
The only aspect is the whole Collector ship, liquidation of humans bits in ME2. Turning up the gore factor on those could have actually given those whole sections a horror Dead Space type feel to those sections, along with Husks etc in all 3 games.
But otherwise I think Bioware generally got it right. No need to be cartoon gory really.

I think the reason why there has never been much blood in the Mass Effect series is that the weapons are all energy weapons and everyone is wearing armour that encases them so there shouldn't be blood all over the place. It's not like Dragon Age where your fighting with piercing and crushing weapons. All we can really get are the effects where the inferno ammo would melt enemies or they would try & put the fire out when they were set on fire, which honestly is more dramatic than just some blood. Your headshots do remove heads off the opponents' shoulders, which I have a hard time envisioning as a bloodless procedure. Did they? Guess I never noticed I've always been a heavy power user, my gun was only used when I was waiting for powers to cooldown.

Yep, their heads currently just disappears off their shoulders and the body walks another step forward headless.

In general it doesn't bother me either way if there's a lot of it or not.
However, where it get's intriguing is where gore works as a mechanism. Eg Ninja Gaiden 2. WHen you delimb enemies, the next hard attack to connect becomes a OHKO. A lifesaver on higher difficulties. But other than that, bathing in the blood of your enemies is completely optional for me. It's just a gigglefactor.

Blowing their heads off was my fav part of ME headshots lol but again I don't find that gore. To me gore is pointless bloody scenes with limbs being torn of and insides strewn all over the place. That would be pointless in an MEA game imo.

That is definitely something that would be nice if they fixed

ME3's levels were good enough for me. I rather enjoyed the exploding heads of Cerberus operatives after a well placed shot in that game. In a perfect world the gore would be represented realistically. If an enemy is wearing light armor/no armor I would expect more carnage from a shotgun blast to the chest than if they were wearing heavy armor etc.

Personally I'm into Bioware's game s for their stories not the gore I think the way Bioware has been doing it is fine which is not too much and not too little.

I think it's okay how they've done it so far. ME3 had small amounts of blood like when you decapitated someone but never too much, which is fine by me. I don't want to paint the walls with gallons and gallons of blood, or have heads and limbs and guts flying everywhere, that would be stupid and almost obscene. This. No need to have blood and guts everywhere. Alluding to it with some blood is fine.

It works in other games, mostly medieval fantasy because man they did some sick stuff back in the day, but MEA should not be like that. Like the scene where we are tracking the Angaran and Krogan blood. The scan describes how the Angara pried the Krogan's plate off and killed him. No need to see it happening. The scan said it all, and the body shows it all.

It's good to see earth clan that haven't abandoned their savage roots, but sad to see their will to watch fornication has decreased. This is why the turians are our preferred client race.

I'm gonna say no but only because the inclusion of gore will lower the frame rate at 1080p resolution from 20 to 10, and we wouldn't want that.
