I don't really understand all the N7's being slapped on the Ryder twins in all these promotional figures/pictures/etc. Is it just cause it's iconic or do we actually become an honorary N7 at some point in the game, I wonder? Or does Ryder just get their dad's armor and run around like Shepard in Cerberus armor post-ME2? :S

I don't really understand all the N7's being slapped on the Ryder twins in all these promotional figures/pictures/etc. Is it just cause it's iconic or do we actually become an honorary N7 at some point in the game, I wonder? Or does Ryder just get their dad's armor and run around like Shepard in Cerberus armor post-ME2? :S I imagine it's because "N7" is synonymous with Mass Effect, and makes for better marketing. I wouldn't be surprised if Ryder winds up getting his/her hands on a set of N7 armor at some point in the game, though. |

I'm thinking we get it towards the end of the game and possibly wear it in his memory. Wouldn't need to be an official N7 since there is no Alliance (I think). PLus it's brand recognition. |

I begin to think people are too picky. Those first pictures we got were mock-ups; for the non-collectors out there, think the difference between someone's photoshopped Instagram pic, and then meeting them for coffee.  That said, they are MILES ahead of the shoddy DC/Big Fish ME2 figures, and for $20, you could do a crap ton worse. |

It's not being picky to say that the quality of the figures shown in the IGN article doesn't appear to match the quality of the figures shown on the website from which they are being sold: mcfarlane.com/toys/sara-ryder/Again, I honestly think it's the lighting and the fact that the reflections through the glass distort the quality of the image. PLus the advertisement shows them with the helmet on. For a $20 figure that is actually articulated to do poses, I don't expect their face and other details to be on the same quality as say 10" $130 figure from Final Fantasy XV.  |

I hope you're right projectpatdc, because those IGN pics are a little unflattering to say the least. Regarding my own expectations, I wouldn't think it entirely unreasonable to expect something as well crafted as the figures Dark Horse produced for the outstanding Wild Hunt.

The new Ai logo and blue-white-black color palette fits the game way better and looks just as good, but with N7/red-black thrown in it clashes and just looks inconsistient. |
