The Witcher 3 thread - now with more goat

Finally, I was hoping for a Thread about the Witcher 3. Two finished playthroughs, both very long. I loved Blood and Wine.
Nice to see that a goty will be released. I don't regret buying the game close to its release though.

Witcher 3 is not only one of the best games I've ever played, but also one of the very few where I didn't regret pre-ordering the collector's edition.

I'll also never forget how CDPR treated people who got damaged statues in the CE of Witcher 2 - they sent us a new one, and a witcher medallion on top of it to make up for the trouble. In an express package that was delivered the day after mailing started. I've never seen any other dev studio go the extra mile for their customers like CDPR does.

Witcher 3 - Blood and Wine is also the best send-off any of my game characters ever got - and that all on top of the general awesomeness of the game itself.

I LOVE this game. I haven't played the expansions yet cause there's constantly new games coming out which I keep playing but I'm definitely gonna play them soon! My Gerald always romances Yennefer, she's simply gorgeous. I'm straight though, so no, I don't mean it like that lol

I've done 2 play-throughs with game imports from TW1 > TW2 > TW3

I think my favourite romance arc has been the one with Triss all the way through... but, well, what can I say... redheads

(spoilt for choice with Triss and Shani in TW1)

I'm currently playing a new game plus to get the Death March trophy for the ps4. The game isn't bad. I do like using witcher senses to follow clues. I finally got a hang of the gwent game. I'm currently trying to get all cards. I like that Geralt calls the horse, Roach

Not sure if I will get the game of the year when its released.

GOTY

Good game so far (just playing it now) but extremely hard at times in my mind.

I only remember one particular boss fight towards the end of the main game where there was a rather steep difficulty spike (or at least was when I last played that part), but other than that there's usually some fairly simple though sometimes quite specific tricks you need for certain foes. Even with well over 200 hours in total clocked in I still sometimes get embarrassingly surprised by big packs of drowners or wolves who get way too many free critical hits thanks to being able to surround me if I do a poor job of dodging or using signs for crowd control. The flurry attack that wraiths do is also one of those things that I should know better than to get hit by, but still manage to screw up every now and then especially when there's several of them at once.

Though by far the deadliest foes in the entire game are harpies and their variations if and when they show up during some platforming section. Suddenly you're combat rolling off a cliff instead of making an easy jump to a ledge.
