New enemy type, "Destined". We had seen Kett foes named "Annointed", "Chosen", etc... I believe this nomenclature wasn't shown before Destined, chosen, anointed ... Space religion confirmed. Hmmmm a theological empire/civilization it could be interesting

Is that shoot over cover realistic? It looks weird to me, just lifting your gun up and shooting without looking. Suppressing fire basically. It's a gamey mechanic I admit, lots of games implemented it and now is the turn of Mass Effect it seems.

I like how much flexibility that there is for the combat. You can put all you focus into being a biotic god or trying to be the most balanced character ever or anything in between. Since they mention being able to change how you play when ever you want I wonder if there will be any kind of system where you can reallocate your skill points? Also glad to see the Angarian is confirmed as a squad member and I like that 4 sets of 3 different favorites, that seems like it would be useful, especially on a harder difficulty.

I hope pure Engineers and Adepts will have short(er) cooldowns than other classes, because waiting between profile switching from Engineer to Engineer is not very caster friendly. Too much emphasis on gun gameplay maybe? Will see, hope not. But the combat seems extremely fluid, jumping all over the place, then hover with jetpack backwards into cover like a leaf falling from the tree. That is very well done. Menus are well made too. Companions seems awesome. Shooting out singularity looks great so does the distortion it creates. - Really like that the favourite system puts the powers on a cooldown and that any active powers you've used from your last favourites still remain.
I don't know, as he selects the Favorite Profile No.2, in that same exact moment the turret exploded. I'm wondering what it means for sustained powers, like Drones, Turrets, Remnant VI, Barricade, Trip Mine... Still think 6 power instead of 3 could have been better for casters, but still waiting for the game unwaveringly.

So I was super concerned about the combat and only having 3 abilities yada yada yada. We actually have access to 12 abilities divided into 4 favorites depending on the situation, I actually really like it. Combat concerns are put to rest! Now when it comes to landing on planets... is combat the only thing waiting for us? That's my last concern pretty much.

I continue to get more excited. I hope there is some mid to late-game passive on the engineer or adept profile that reduces or gets rid of the cooldown upon switching profiles. As ssanyesz pointed out, that will be a bit more harsh on caster types. But overall, it looks really great so far. Also, I'm excited for the exploration video next. The brief glimpse we saw of choosing the planet and then honing in on the station was really cool visually. I just want to see the galaxy map now. By the sound of it, it is really beautiful.

It just hit me that 6 squadmates might be better than for example 9. Because with 6 you will have deeper individual character development, more dialogue and more content. You would probably not be using every single squadmate out of 9 in different combinations to go with you, not even over two playthroughs. Basically you wouldn't see all of the stuff and the stuff you do see is less because they had to spread the budget over more characters. Having it this way you will experience more dialogue and more content. Hopefully there will be alot of banter and special things occuring with squadmates on missions and even stuff between squadmates more often. Exactly. It really is for the best. Plus people seem to forget that ME and ME 3 also only had 6 companions. 7 for ME 3 if you count Javik as well.

Unfortunately, it'll be just like ME3. To re-spec, you have to spend credits. My biggest disappointment until now. We'll only have real fun with those favorites in higher levels.

Nice. Wow, BW, you listened!! I remember bringing up a request for something similar for DAIMP, asking for pre-made loadouts (per faction type) to choose before each mission. You did this, and one upped by allowing us to switch on the fly in-game. Outstanding! Looking forward to speccing my Ryder for different occasions.

Enemy sniper = Charge Enemy heavy = Charge Enemy CC = Charge Enemy God = Charge Getting up from bed = Charge Getting coffee = Charge Talking with friends = Charge There is no such thing as not charging.

My first thought is that I'm not sure how I feel about the favourites loadout thing being able to switch during combat. Although the cooldown it imposes on on skills, and the fact that you don't switch weapons with it should help to keep it from being too easily abused.
I was hoping to see more of squad commands, unless of course that is all that there is to it. It's sad to see that being able to use squadmate skills on a specific target is no longer there, as I used that a lot in the trilogy.
It also looks like squadmates have a unique ability of their own. I hope that bonus power comes into play on that one to give us access to 6 more abilities.
6 Squadmates should be a decent number, provided there are still other people on the ship we can have plenty of dialogue with. Kind of like the 3 advisers we had in Inquisition.

I was curious about the on the fly, during combat profile swap. It takes aprox 4 seconds for the game to load the new chosen profile...(I'm not talking about the cooldowns). Not bad I guess... It means you're making a choice: swapping a loadout. Not instant but considered.

I'm still bugged that you can't control squad abilities really - kind of my same disappointment with losing the pause menu. But, the video looks pretty good. Wish there were more than 6 comps - maybe a secret comp announced later/at launch? Still feel that comps are more cosmetic/DOT-oriented than ever before.
