Hey man, you don't need to apologize to me. I'm just a guy who's trying to keep cool. Maybe trying to keep it positive is my own defense mechanism. If we skew to negative, I'll join right in and then sink into my own "anticipation exhaustion" (it should totally be a thing!). I hear you. I'm nervous and excited and anxious about this game. And we still have 16 more days until EA early access. That's probably what it is, some sort of defense mechanism. I'm not sure why though. I don't feel like I've been "burned" before. DAI was a little disappointing and a lot of that was not really clicking with Dorian who was a character written especially to appeal to me as a demographic but overall it was a good game and I enjoyed it. I think a lot of the problem is that fans (myself included) except lightning to strike twice and for the developers to recreate whatever magical moment made them fall in love with the series in the first place. It's too much pressure on everyone; the devs and us, and my mind is just like "Nope, no more". God, I can't believe I wrote that about a video game. I got it bad. |

Ever since DA2 (my first BioWare game) I've been trying to create that first magical feeling, and it just hasn't happened. Since then I've learned to enjoy a game without falling head over heels for the romance... ME trilogy for example. Yeah, I love the M!Shenko romance, but it doesn't leave me breathless the way Hawke x Fenris did (insert each person's own personal OTP). DAI was another one where there were no great romances for me, but sadly I felt that particular game was too lengthy and meandering plotwise to really capture my attention. Here's hoping MEA is a great game, and that if there's a good romance, it'll just be the icing on the cake. |

Sigh...Every day I wake up with hope in my bruised heart that there will be good news. We are still in the desert my fellows. The thirst is real! Same here. Negativity abound... Honestly, the promises made to the LGBT community by Bioware after ME3 to improve on our options don't seem to be holding true. The game isn't out yet, but I feel we were merely of small importance to them. Once again, I feel like I am gutter trash and not worthy of happiness, even in a game. Every day it gets harder to believe they actually care about anyone outside straight, male gamers. I guess it is time to feast on the scraps and crumbs provided by flirt NPC options at HUBs. Woo-fucking-hoo. |

I don't care what BioWare's intent was. I actually liked the Kaidan romance MORE because he was only available in ME3. It made the arc all the sweeter. People really gave them hate for it? It's a video game for crying out loud you can just assume that Kaidan was too shy to flirt with male Shepard because he's a 30 year old inexperienced bottom. So agree with you. Shep is the botom in my canon  |

Just that there is a redhead. If he is the guy in the very blurry low res picture from Biofan, then he might be the guy. My sources says a redhead with an Alistair haircut. The guy in the picture has an Alistair haircut and darker hair that could be reddish depending on the light. Plus his surname is Scottish and there's that whole "redheads come from Scotland/Ireland" assumption. To be honest all we know about Gil is: 1.) He's the Chief Engineer 2.) He's in Andromeda to "find himself" 3.) One reviewer says he's handsome 4.) One reviewer (not sure if he's the same one) says he's got a great sense of humor 5.) He responds positively to Scott's flirts That's kind of it at this point. It's not much. |

On the brightside, we can always count on fanfic, if the game doesn't give us the kind of gay content we want.  Fanfic is life. I love fanfics, sometimes even better than the original narrative, if the writer is good enough. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda looking forward to all the amazing fanfics that will be created from Andromeda. Especially if there is some townie fling that I just adore but they didn't give a good romance to. Or maybe I get a hint of chemistry between two NPC's that'd be fun to expand on. The delicious anticipation gives me shivers, sometimes. :hearteyes: I get that sounds weird but I don't give a fork.  Have one particular writer I've been following for years, really looking forward to what she'll come up with for Andromeda. Fanfics really helped ease that ME3 ending pain back in the day, thankful for the people who create this stuff and share. And, again... I'm really sorry guys. Kinda feel like I've deflated the thread *if it could be deflated anymore, holy fuck Bioware* Srsly thought Neil would have dropped us something, anything. He has been pretty good with the Peebee stuff, really wasn't expecting to get stonewalled like I did.  The marketing campaign for this game has been pretty terrible, still lay the blame at their feet. |

It's a hot mess, it's mostly been up to fans to try their damnest to pry info out of Bioware. Character info that should have been released officially in the first place.  As for the Peebee vid, yeah, that flashed up on my dash. NOOOOOOOOOOOOPE I ain't watching that. Get that spoiler away from me.  |

Yeah I would prefer to have more or less equal show time among the squad mates and among crew members. But I feel that the marketing team thinks some of them, especially the asari, are more marketable than the others.

While I'm sure the Gil and potentially Reyes romances will be up to par it still DOES NOT make it alright that m/m romances are(hopefully not) relegated to side characters. Nor will it excuse the way inquiries into the topic were handled. This is problematic and I thought better of Bioware. ...but they've only really revealed one romance option so far and that was via a trailer (Cora) >.> There are leaks that allege a lack of m/m romance options in the Squad and that it was an intentional decision by the team. |

Bioware are better than this tho but their marketing, yeeesh. I still don't blame the devs/writers for this, *holds up shield* I'm sure they must be feeling conflicted on how some info is being trickled out/kept under wraps. Gil better be better than 10 Solas' with the way they're keeping hush hush, Lordy. I understand the frustration and disappointment here, would have been happy to keep harassing sending him tweets, been doing it to other writers anyway. Renly & Margaery reunited again tho. Wonder how they'll get on aboard the Tempest? I don't think Lexi has a Loras under her sleeve.  |
