The fish betrayal ending is seriously the most epic thing ever. well both versions of that path are super funny! Gotta respect all the free dlc we got from that game too. The creator is living proof that a woman can handle male/male romances well! Mad props!

1) Ian is MY man, so back off.

2) Brad is cute and muscley and all, but I don't think I'd want him tinkering with the ship's engine (Ian is really good with his hands).

3) I think space men flying giant ships and shooting monsters shouldn't waste time shaving their chest hair.

I wonder if Gil and Peebee are gonna be friends. Liam, Peebee, and Gil start a "tech appreciation club." They have potlucks on Tuesdays.

And Brad. At first I was a bit meh about his romance, because it seemed to go into the "str8 acting super duper top jock" teritory, which is a big no no for me. Added spoiler tag for who hasn't played yet.

Ultimately Ian's personality and storyline was just too much for me   Love that guy 

If I was to rank them, Ian first, Brad second and Phil third.

Depending on how well the ME team handles Gil's romance, they may or may not need to learn from Obscura. Remains to be seen. Wait and see ^tm

Ian is top husband forever. Second prize goes to Brad, and third to Jed.

Honorable mention to Alex who could have surpassed them all if his content didn't feel so limited and mostly about University politics instead of the actual relationship. He's damn fine!

I know this might seem redundant considering Peebee's mission is about Remnant tech, but I'd love it if Gil had a mission about technology too. Not Remnant technology, but something like... Helping protect him as he tries to fix the life support systems for an Andromeda Initiative settlement. That'd be super cool!

Gil's mission. Hmm.

I have to say, after watching Peebee's mission (I'll make sure to avoid spoiling anything about the content of that vid no worries)... I'm a little worried about the quality of the writing here. I mean seriously? That stunt she pulled? What's this? Soap opera level of writing? I thought Bioware was aiming higher. The siliness and dumb-dumb nature of many "plot" devices in soap operas is actually part of the charm. They're so bad, it kind of gets entertaining at some point and you're actually enjoying it. But this is not ok outside that context.

And no it's not ok to discard this as "it's her personality, she's quirky like that har har". No. If everyone pulls and pushes in whichever direction they feel like or suits them, than you no longer have a crew. Let alone an organised one. What's to stop person X from crashing the ship on a planet then, and justify it with "I just saved your lives people. if you go up against [main villain] you will die. so you're welcome". Why bother to talk to you about it, I'll just crash the ship and bye bye. That's very similar to what Peebee does, only on a larger scale. Same principle.
So basically I hope Gil's personality is not a caricature like what I'm seeing at the moment with Peebee. That would be horrible and bad writing. I can see plenty of people love it "oh she's so cute" which is great for them, but personally there's so much suspension of disbelief I can do before I start shaking my head and go:


Oh and no, having a "bubbly" voice (which I find grating but whatever) does not mean one's actions are magically devoid of consequences or responsability. She can talk 100 times more bubbly than how she is talking now, that pod stunt would still not fly with me. And it's not me mad about npcs having more agency. This is me mad about npcs having stupid agency.

So yeah, I'm looking forward to be surprised by Gil's mission, if it even exists, as long as it's written well. I would love for him to be a nerdy, dorky, with a hot bod type of guy lol, so a science oriented mission would be best imo.
