Patch Notes and PC System Specs

Good evening, Pearl and thank you for your reply.  I suppose with the new asynchronous  fan design and the improved heat dissipation, the new 1080ftw2 is good at 'self regulating'....It knows when it feels too hot and how/when to cool itself down.  I'm also impressed at the speed with which the temps drop (currently my temp measuring program is SpeedFan v 4.51) mot sure how well this lines up with the temps in the bios though, sometimes those are different.

But thanks again for your post.  Curious, what's your take on the 1080Ti?   Having just bought and received the FTW2 (and ordering from EVGA at $1.35 CDN plus Duty and Taxes wasn't cheap lemme tell you)....I am utterly amazed at the performance of this new card.  And I can see where the Ti is even more of an improvement--but at the rate I just talked about....you're looking at between 1500 and 2000 to start (for what I assume is simply a FE/Reference card).  That's a hefty price tag.  I think I'll stick with my FTW2...But what's your nickel's worth?

My laptop was screaming with Inquisition (GTA V runs fine).
- i5 4210H
- GTX 850M 2Gb
- 8Gb DDR3 800MHz
- Plus some shitty hard drive.

The only upgrade that seems reasonable is a couple of 8Gb 1600MHz RAM modules. But that means £100. Do you think it would make any difference?

Would someone kindly tell me if I'll be able to run Andromeda on hopefully atleast High settings at 1080p. I can run pretty much everything in my library at Ultra but I don't know about this one.

Our PCs are very similar so I say yes, High should be possible. I also will try to get some Ultra Settings in there. 

That is still way better, than a "typical sister's computer"

As much as I want to do something like this, my PC is only barely outside the minimum spec (3470 instead of 3570 on the CPU), so if I were able to run the game it would basically be "no shit".

What do you guy think? Can I run MEA at medium??

I'd say medium to high settings depending on how well optimised it is, its recommended specs are similar to Battlefield 1 so try searching your specs on that game to get a general idea

and to zered, do you know if it's the Radeon 7870 or the 7850? Either way the GPU is bare minimum required, the only weakness is the APU although I'm not entirely sure of its capabilities. 

I got a 1060 but I have an amd 6100 six core processor 3.30ghz. I might just get it on PS4. I don't really care about the 60fps and not many people will mod this game.
