I'm on a 4 years old laptop with eGPU:
Win7 64bit RX480 4GB Intel i7-3612QM 2.1Ghz/3.1Ghz on turbo 8GB DDR3
1600x900, most settings are on medium, get a quite smooth gameplay with few stuttering in some heavy areas.. I'll try to measure the fps tonight.

60-40 fps with an R9 390. Dipped to low 30s while aboard the Tempest. Mostly high settings with some ultra.
Also they really need to fix that bug with TAA that's causing weird blurring on the omni-tool and the Scourge.

I have an i5-5200u with Nvidia GeForce 940m graphics card. The minimum requirements are basically the exact same as Titanfall 2 which runs 45-55 FPS little to no issues so far. I get that not all games are the same, but to me just doesn't make any sense.
The Auto detect is stating I should have no issues running this on medium. But there are so many frame drops and stuttering I had to get off because of my eyes. I've spent 7 hours playing very first mission to get an accurate benchmark but still a no go. I've even went straight low for everything and still no improvements. Litterally is the exact same no matter what I change it to.
I will wait for Nvidia drivers but could that actually help?? I'm scared I wasted 75 dollars that I can only play partially

Try lowering the resolution scale and see if it helps.

I am trying the early access right now. Here are my specs and performance FPS: CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K @4ghz RAM: 16 GB GPU: ASUS ROG 970 GTX 4GB HDD: 500 SSD I have turned on everything up to ultra. The only thing i turned of was the Film Grain effect..never liked that in Mass Effect. But I am running between 40-60 FPS constantly, only had one dip to 31, but it only lastest for 2 seconds. Overall, game is good and fun, can't wait for the full version next week:-) At what resolution do you play? I have almost the same setup (I have an EVGA980 instead of your 970) but I play on a 1440p monitor which is a lot more taxing than 1080p. I run at 1080p resolution

I'm very impressed with the pc version. It can only improve from here on out. Hopefully the Nvidia will fix some of the fps drops that I'm getting with my GTX 1070. You got framerate drops with yours? Zero with mine. Yeah I had the settings on Ultra and I suffered quite a few fps drops during cutscenes. Especially when I entered the Tempest for the first time. Now I got everything on High and it runs great. Its probably just some minor issue that needs fixing, since I got an i7 6700K and 16 GB DDR4 Ram. That set up shouldnt have any issues.

I'm back guys with an update after playing 4 hours of the trial! Alienware Alpha ASM100: Processor: Intel Core i3-4170T Processor Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M Memory: 8GB I can confirm that the games DOES play on these requirements, however my settings are on Low/Medium with Shadows off, and Textures are set to high. The screen resolution can vary between 720p and 1080p however I noticed that putting it to 1080p made my PC sound like it was going to lift off from my desk and start flying around the room so I left it at 720p. I can pretty much say even with the graphics on low/medium the graphics are impressive, however I am used to low graphic games as I normally play for story and combat not how it looks. The gameplay is smooth and I only had a few little drops now and again. I believe there is room to play around with these graphics, on start up the game had automatically set all my settings to Medium/High however as I said I prefer not to have my PC flying. For this PC I recommend that you do play with the graphic settings more than I have. I am pretty sure the PC can handle a much larger mix of medium and high settings, as long as shadows are off EDIT: Do you think improving the ram could increase the games performance? I have 8GB but could easily upgrade to 16GB what do you think?

Andromeda laggs.
I wonder why. W7 64 Bit Geforce 950 2 Gig AMP 16 Gig RAM i5 6500
On Low 100 Frames On Medium 40 Frames.
But sometimes it simply drops to 1-5 frames.
It even laggs in the menu or when the EA / Bioware / Frostbite logo is shown...
What can it be?

Anyone else finding Andromeda really CPU intensive? On Win 7 64bit, 1060 6gb, 16gb RAM and i7 2600k (stock speed). All 8 cores are blasting out and taking CPU to near 75 degrees C!! I don't have the best cooling but not experienced anything like this on other recent games...

If the VRAM hits the limit the RAM will take over and it is significantly slower in general which might be what is causing it. If you are able, check the load on your VRAM using EVGA Precision XOC or a similar program that will show you the amount of VRAM being requested by the video card.

Happy to report that I get a solid 75 FPS with only minimal tearing on my rig. But to save the tearing I think I'll keep V-sync on and limit it to...only the *magic number* 60. Sixty is a nice round number anyhow All my settings were on Ultra.

Andromeda runs much better on a mix of high/ultra settings than it did when I ran on low/medium. I'm not complaining at all, but.... huh? My rig was built 2 years ago on a budget, so it's not incredible but it's sturdy enough to run most things. This one didn't even pass minimum spec according to the link that Origin included in their system requirements section.

in your guys' opinion/to your knowledge, what makes the biggest difference: RAM, graphics card, or CPU? i have the recommended RAM, my processor is a bit below minimum, and my graphics card is a fair bit below minimum. i know i'll be okay for low/med settings, just curious about your opinions.

Someone logged on, someone started playing ME3, now they stopped etc. I assume it's down to the Origin overlay but doesn't happen with any other game. For now I turned notifications off but not played since will try again tonight but a solid 60 fps other than that.

Hello.
I need some advice. I'm thinking of making an upgrade if it will help, if not I'm gonna wait and make a bigger one once I have the money.
My specs are: i7 - 2600k at 3,8 ghz., gtx 970 and 8gb of ram ddr3 at 1600 mhz.
Right now I'm thinking of changing my motherboard (since it doesn't support ddr4) and get 16gb of ddr4 at 3200mhz.
Will this have a visible effect on the game? Right now it plays at 50-60 fps on medium most of the time.

Hi,
Is the early access trial limited to 1020 resolution? The option to change the resolution is greyed out for me. I am not sure if its default for the trial or due to my comp spec
Anyone playing on 1440?
Thanks

Hmm I wasn't receiving any notifications, so I'm not sure that is the cause of the problems I was getting. I seemed to get it when performing certain actions, like pressing the button that starts my scanner, starting a conversation or performing a melee attack.
