So it's official my friend couldn't boot the game with his dual core Pentium G4400. All he changed was the processor to my i3 7100 and he booted it up just fine. So I guess you can't run the game on dual core CPUs. At least not the G4400

i7-3930k + 2x GTX980 SLI here. Getting 50-70fps on Eos (typically mid to high 50s) at 1440p, high settings + HBAO full and TAA (texture filtering set to ultra). SLI scaling is decent, not spectacular (about 60-70% over one GPU). Cutscenes generally run worse, with dips into the 30s and 40s. There's also the annoying stuttering during scene cuts (also when exiting from menus) that send frametimes spiking well over 100 ms (sometimes >1000 ms).
One thing that I noticed is that this game does not behave well when you run out of VRAM. I was able to run ultra textures on Hab7 and the Nexus with no issues when VRAM usage was <4GB, but when I got to Eos I noticed the game hitting 4GB VRAM usage. My average FPS immediately dropped by half, but it felt way worse than even that due to the stuttering. Dropped to high textures, VRAM usage came back down to 3.6-3.8 GB, and lo and behold no more stuttering.
So basically, make sure you aren't maxing out VRAM usage with this game. If you were running fine on Hab7+Nexus and then got way worse performance on Eos like I did, check your VRAM usage because as I mentioned, the game uses a lot more of it on Eos compared to the previous locales.

From posts and game articles, ME:A is a demanding game. This from a game article: "Unfortunately, the game doesn't offer smooth gameplay on a standard-issue PS4. The animation tends to become choppy while traveling fast in Nomad or while exploring more complex locations with a large number of non-player characters or enemies".
A 2GB VRAM video card is the absolute min spec and expect choppiness with it. Cut scenes are probably rendered at very high resolution and exceeds the memory capacity of a low end card.... hence the stuttering (among other reasons).

It's a VRAM hog as well. Expect at least 4+ GB to be necessary in order to play on ultra settings.

Thank you for confirming my VRAM suspicion.
I bet that you can avoid the stuttering if the setting was set at 1080p.

I had no problems with the trial with a 2GB GTX770 and 8GB of RAM using 4 x i7-2600 @ 3.4 - Auto settings were mostly "medium"

So far so good. A bit of frame dips looking at the Nexus (exterior view) while on the bridge, but when I reopened the game after closing it, the dips weren't as bad. I also forget to turn off Origin In-Game, which also decrease fps.

I'm still waiting to get a new PC, and I'm planning on: i5-7500, 8GB RAM, RX 480 4GB. Only planning to play at 1080p. Could I run this at Ultra or is this more of a High?

High is as far as you will go with that setup if you care about constant 60 fps. Among other things game have optimization problems and weird performance in not so taxing situations. If you stutter alot and FPS drops to 40 from 60. Reduce Meshes to low and Lighting to medium, that helped me to get almost constant 60fps on my i53570 + gtx970.

Now that the game is out, is it possible to run the game on low settings on a computer that does not meet the minimum specifications? I can run ME3 and DA:I without problems. It all depends on your expectations. Lenovo Y500 (i5 3210, 2x2gb 650M SLI, 6gb ram) here. MEA's much better than DeusExMD (could not even play soon after the prologue. Literally.), but slightly worse than Dishonored2 (had beaten that game twice, with the 1.2-1.3 patches doing the amazing job). Nothing compares to BF1, though - as I've been waiting for MEA, I've installed it just to see the numbers, and I was shocked. BF1 managed to keep 45-60FPS on the low autosettings (going into 30th on low\medium). Maaaan - those DICE guys know how to optimize FrostBite! Now, MEA. Trial - it was not bad at all (considering the configuration), basically I had steady ~30th with some random spikes up to 50+, cut-scenes being closer to 20-25 (1080p, low with tiny AA and medium textures). I was optimistic, looked good enough (and we had not even got official SLI support and game-ready driver, I've used the BF1 profile). Now we've got the release, and Nvidia had updated their game-ready dirvers. To me it got MUCH worse, averege FPS had dropped to lower 20th even while walking around Tempest, randomly spiking and dropping. Basically, it had shifted from 'playable' to 'annoying', and lowering the resolution did not do much (if anything at all). I'm going to try rolling back to the previous driver and\or see what messing with the profile can bring. (And before someone comments on the config itself - yes, I know that it's crap and I'm 2+ years past the upgrading point, but life is life, you know. I'd rather play what I can then sit&wait&cry)

Based on all of the benchmarks, you can do ultra, but I suggest sticking to ultra to make sure you have a locked 60. I'm expecting my 480 tomorrow, so I can't confirm until then, but considering my 55-60 fps based on benchmarks I gleaned from youtube with people running at 900p on medium, I'd trust the info.

I changed the Origin settings so that Andromeda can install on my HDD, not the local disk. At least the save files take little space. At least I know where the files is, so that I can make a back up copy on my flash drive. Thanks!
