I have a question: My game has run flawless with the occasional missing audio on mostly ultra, but when I come to the cutscene where story spoiler The kett stop the tempest it start to lag. My question is, what is it that I should lower to make the cutscene stable? Or is that cutscene just extra resource draining? my spec is: win 10 i7-4790k 4ghz GTX 1060 6gb gddr5 16gb ram Thanks in advance.

Much like hammerstorm, I too experience FPS lag spikes during cutscenes, in combat, and also just overall. At other times, the game runs just fine at 60 FPS with all graphics set to High. Also the FPS stuttering sometimes is so bad it even affects the audio. Anyone know what causes this? Here's what I've currently tried doing:
-Setting the graphics to lower settings -Setting Mass Effect Andromeda to High Priority -Running Mass Effect Andromeda as administrator -Repairing the game files
Here's my specs: OS: Windows 10 64bit Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz, 3101 Mhz, 4 Core(s) Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Memory: 8GB RAM
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Edit: New thing just happened. The game froze whilst the cutscene was playing of the Tempest entering the Nexus.

win 10 / (64b) intel core i5-2300 cpu 2.80 ghz 8gb ram nvidia geforce gtx 750 ti direct-x 12 I wonder if i should even bother. Could it launch on this specs? My system specs: Windows 7 - 64 bit Intel i5-4590 @3.3 GHz 8 GB RAM nVidia Geforce GTX 750 TI - 2 GB VRAM DirectX 11 My game launches. I play on all low graphics settings. And I run into out of VRAM issues. I currently am stuck because I can't get past an early cutscene due to VRAM issues. And that was after having to restart my computer a number of times just to ensure my VRAM was open. You can't manual save during priority missions (main story missions), so you're at the mercy of your VRAM. There were times when I would restart the game just to flush my VRAM so that I could play more without having to lose progress. I'm personally upgrading my video card. RAM issues at least give you fair warning before it crashes the game/computer, which is where I think my next bottle neck for this game is. I'm just trying to decide what card I want to go with. To others: Would upgrading to the nVidia Geforce GTX 1050 TI - 4 GB be enough to get me past my current crashing/VRAM issues? Graphics settings aren't a huge issue for me (all low doesn't look that bad). I just want to play the game without worrying that the next cutscene is going to eat my VRAM and I won't make it to the next autosave.

So in a nutshell; how well is this gaming performing on pc so far? If you ask me, very bad. I played BF1 since December on my 1070 FTW @2100 / 4480 MHz, I can run 95 % Ultra settings with stable 60 FPS. Andromeda won't even reach 60 FPS on medium settings. Of course I play in 2160p. The game looks incredible, but the performance seems like some early access or No Mans Sky (Which is early access disguised as a full price title). So even a heavily overclocked 1080 Ti could not handle this game at stable 60 FPS just on high settings. Does anyone face similar problems or is a patch in sight? I currently play like the pictures above, mostly 30 - 45 FPS, multiplayer runs better.
Andromeda could have needed a few more months of development, but now its too late. I'm not willing to buy a big and expensive GPU like the 1080 Ti when I can't expect maxed out 60 FPS from it. The 1070 was already new for 500 € last christmas, it should handle at least medium to high settings at 60 FPS in 2160p.

Plays fine for me on the PC. I've noticed a couple of slow downs, may have to add an additional 16GBs of RAM. I already have 16GBs, but I like to stay way ahead of a game's recommended specs.

I just set the FOV to max, and it looks incredible! When in the galaxy map,you see everything as if you are looking through your Ryder's point of view, as she (in my case, she) looks towards the map. You can can see the ceiling of the bridge.

I have the same problem as crow14.
The game lags terribly (single player) and the audio stutters, it's almost unplayable. I tried uninstalling Nvidia new drivers with DDU and reinstalling them with a clean install, updated my realtek drivers from the motherboard website. I tried lowering all settings but the problem persists even on low. None of this worked.
My system: i5-4670K 16 GB RAM Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 SSD 250 GB MOTHERBOARD Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3 My monitor is 1080p
I don't know what to do. This sucks.

An update and some clarifications in case I was unclear: This has only happened in the cutscene that I mentioned in my above post, so far I have not had any other problem with fps in the game. Will see if it happens in anymore cutscenes. So I tried to change the settings to high and then medium, no change. Because of this I wonder if it may be because I use a tv as screen? is it possible that the tv can't handle the scene changes fast enough and therefore the "lag" between scenes happened?

Keeping 60 % of a SSD free? Thats a waste. I have a 1 TB 850 EVO for games and no problems with it, except sometimes infinite loadscreens and heavy framedrops in cutscenes. I have 30 FPS on some planets anyway. Playing this game at 60 FPS is currently utopic.

For all Players who have RAM Problems with the RAM Error Warning.
Aktivate "Automatic Windows Virtual Memory Size Management"
I think this Warning Comes if you have only 8Gb RAM.
In my Case it helped and the Game runs without Problems right now.
... After the Trial i deactivated this Option because I thought I dont Need ist. But now the Game didnt run and showed me this RAM Warning.

Everything had been going fine until I got to the Remnant Vault. Every time I engage in battle with those robots the sound in my game cuts out. I can't play the game without sound. Until they fix this, I'm not going to play it any more.

My PC Hardware:
CPU : FX-6300 Main Memory: 8GB RAM Video card: Radeon HD 7700 with 1GB VRAM Monitor: 2K, 27" HDD: WD 2TB portable attached via USB 3.0
Game installed on a USB 3.0 external portable WD drive Game download at 44%
Good news is that I'm playing the game and currently my objective is to find the Pathfinder on Habitat 7. Bad news is that my monitor resolution is set at 720p Good news is that there is no lag or stuttering so far. Bad news is that all my settings are set to LOW Good news is that the game still looks good. I'm using default Sara and she looks much better than that early trailer where she meets Sloane.
Those of you who have lag/stuttering should try to lower the resolution + settings and work your way up until you find the tipping point. It works for me and ought to work for you as well.... It's a stop gap measure but, hey, at least you should be able to play the game.
Luck

You need to change it to custom (one step beyond Ultra). Then you can change all other settings in the graphical menu.

So in a nutshell; how well is this gaming performing on pc so far? It really depends on the overall build. Some people seem to be having issues and others it plays very good. So many variables to pc builds. Between cpu/gpu/mb/memory/drivers/os, it is a wonder most times it is not total FUBAR. I would make sure to limit what is running in the back ground. One demanding program doing something at the wrong time will cause some drops in performance. For me personally it runs great. I don't have a top end pc build or anything but it does all seem to work very well together. I can play at 1080P, Ultra settings and have very nice frame rates which I monitor with Fraps. Even played in 1440P with Ultra and was still playable at a very good smooth rate. At 4K, well I need to upgrade. Playable but just barely.

Since I've been playing, I'm too gonna share the performance of the game. Yes, there're lag spikes during cutscenes and conversations some times. I think the lag spikes in cutscenes are due to the game loading maps during such cutscenses, I'm "familiar" with that system from other games, not the best. But it's either that or loading screens... (personally I prefer the stupid loading screens, I value performance over seamlessness)
Game runs on Ultra minus shadows that are on High without BS effects like chromatic aberration and yadda yadda at 40fps ish minimum and 120fps ish maximum. The difference is atrocious, I know. Res is 1080p.
Specs are: i5 3570k @3.40GHz, 8gb Ram, GTX 1070. Game seems to be using about 6GB of ram, nothing more (at least for now).
Another fact that is mentioned here: I did lose audio completely at some point in the game, had to close the game and execute it again, that fixed it. It was pretty weird.

I also suffer from lag spikes, mostly on indoors.. I monitored my system and see a quite high disk activity (assets loading? texture streaming?), and so I thought this come from my hard disk since I'm using a laptop. I bought an SSD yesterday and move my ME:A to SSD, but I still got the lag spike.
I noticed that this game also have very high CPU usage 70%-90% most of time, is this normal? Is it my machine or ME:A engine need further optimization? And I got not much difference by changing the graphic settings to low/medium or lowering screen res.
I'm using laptop with i7-3612QM @2.1Ghz boosted to 3.1Ghz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, and eGPU RX480 3GB.
