My favorite feature in DA:I was the War Table. There were a lot of missions and I had the option to approach it either through military, espionage, or diplomacy. Some would be the "correct" response and give more rewards while the rest are kinda fluke-y (Cullen's refusal to help the bard and his disdain to escort the Halla come to mind.) The whole timed thing was perfect when trying to optimize (such as, hey Leliana takes an hour but Cullen only takes five minutes. Let's prioritize.)
I really like it, as military, espionage, and diplomacy seem to be core to the MET as well with the Turians being the military generals, Salarians owning tech and espionage, and finally Asari being the diplomacy experts.
I would really want this back. Has there been word on advisers and war table operations?

I'd be ok with something like this returning. Though I would want faster completing missions, some of the ones in inquisition were ridiculously long. As well as being able to select them from an always accessible menu or each planet/location having an outpost that let you pick them. Having to always go back to skyhold and the war room got old pretty quick.

I don't think the feature is there. Preview said there's a 'war room', in the Tempest where characters meet to discuss missions and post missions or similar stuff, but you're not in charge of an organization in Andromeda, of people that you can send do missions in the way the WT did.

Reminds me of ME1 when you sit in the conference room between missions.
But to answer OP, we don't know but there's planet scanning and some anomaly system. The way it zooms in and out on a map reminded me a lot of the War Table from DA:I but I don't expect it to have timings. I expect this is how you discover new areas though and war-table-esque side-missions.

If it's executed better than the DA:I iteration (hated the thing in that game!)...show me which person (of the advisors) you should send and make stuff take less time (5 hours and more is a shitty idea because even a campaign mission will not take that long...forcing people to go turn of the game and waiting for something is crappy!) greetings LAX

Oh yes, there will be a war room; and a fight will break out; and Ryder will say this to the fighting parties:

You'er not exactly in charge of troops or anything. You do have a meeting room on board the Tempest we do know that but I think that'll just serve the same function as ME1's did in that periodically you'll gather your crew together to discuss the state of play and brief the Nexus on what your doing. Just like as Shep after you complete the main story quests in ME1 we discuss things with the crew and then brief the Council.

Something similar to the war table missions could be used for resource gathering. In DAI you could tell your advisors to get some stuff, too, but the options were a bit limited, so you mostly had to do it yourself (buying resources wasn't really comfortable, imo). They might have expanded on this a bit to let you coordinate other teams to do the job for you.

I'm fine with the War Table coming back, but please limit the time length to 20 to 30 minutes or one
to two hours tops for a operation. The ones from DA:I that took a few hours to finish are just plain nuts. - Wolf

In terms of the war table I think it was a good idewa but should have been done on a missoin/quest counter than a clock one in that you go away do a couple of mision then come back for your reward.

Let's prioritize.) I really like it, as military, espionage, and diplomacy seem to be core to the MET as well with the Turians being the military generals, Salarians owning tech and espionage, and finally Asari being the diplomacy experts. I would really want this back. Has there been word on advisers and war table operations? So short answer is yes, but now it's more to do with settlements and colonies. You establish colonies, decide the type of colony (Military, Engineering/Tech, or Mining I believe), and assign colonists to that colony. These colonies will grow and provide benefits back to your team. This should all be down from the conference table on the tempest. Also Eurogamer stated this, "[T]here are "Deployed Strike Team" missions which take real-time to complete sound similar to Dragon Age: Inquisition's war table missions, where you send out resources to complete missions in real-time. These will allow you to gather resources and keep areas secure, which also sounds similar to a Keep defense system intended for Inquisition but then cut during production. Inquisition's creative director Mike Laidlaw previously told Eurogamer this was due to the problems of supporting last-gen consoles, something which Andromeda will not have to consider." This is also how Multiplayer fits into the game this time. You can opt to do "Active Strike Missions" instead and they will vary from horde mode, defusing bombs, assassinating a target, etc. Multiplayer gives the player the choice to actively engage in the missions where you play as one of the characters being sent on strike missions or using the real time feature and only play single player. Link"Guess"ski you knew about this, right?

I just went through the missions and went about my business. The one time I'd actually turn off the game after launching a mission is if it was one with a lot of hours but I was just about done with this session anyhow. So did I I just went off and did other quests/tasks while I waited. I found there was enough tasks for me to do to busy myself so it dosen't matter. Although I do agree in that some of the waits are quiet long and would have been better solved with mission counters rather than clock ones as I said above.

Don't know how it was with consoles but on PC, all those War Table missions could be done instantly since the timer was based on the system's time. Send your agents on their missions, close the game, change the date to the following day, go back in, collect rewards and send them on their next missions, repeat. Once all available missions are done, set the date back to normal and continue playing. You could clear dozens of 20+ hour missions in 5 minutes or less.

I hope not. The War Table was my absolute LEAST FAVORITE feature about DAI. Who thinks playing a time sink minigame is fun? Maybe I'm just the strange one.

I tried that once but once you reconnect the console to the internet the clock is automatically reset and you get punished with the next 3 missions all being 24 hours.
