Question may have been asked and if so I apologize.
Will it show or explain how you learn weapon skills or maybe more interestingly biotic or tech skills? Like if I specialize in biotics will it explain how I learned those abilities?

I'm pretty sure that part of both Scott's and Sara's backstories include short-ish stints with the Alliance before joining the Andromeda Initiative. Wasn't that in one of the earlier briefings? Whether or not they actually saw combat is unclear/maybe up to us to decide, but they've almost certainly received training prior to joining the Initiative and leaving for Andromeda.

They were Alliance soldiers, last I checked.
Plus, they probably picked up a few tricks from N7 daddy.

As long as it's not as ridiculous as the weapon sway was in ME1 for Shepard... The guy is a war hero, yet he can't even hold a sniper straight without investing points into it? What???

Scott and Sara are both Alliance and both were trained by Alec Ryder to augment their basic Alliance training. They're rookies, but they have the skills already.

I'm still struggling with the profile system and no class restrictions. I mean, Ryder can literally do everything, in turn, making Shepard (who was the greatest soldier to ever live) look like a chump in comparison. There better be a story reason why we can do this...SAM augmenting our abilities doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Ryder is OPd in my opinion. This does make for better game play though. I'm on the fence.

Like if I specialize in biotics will it explain how I learned those abilities? Gun training is probably covered by being the child of a special forces soldier. To me at least, it makes sense for a dad to teach his kids that stuff.

There better be a story reason why we can do this...SAM augmenting our abilities doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Ryder is OPd in my opinion. This does make for better game play though. I'm on the fence. You're looking into it too much. The totality of it; this is nothing but a change in gameplay because Andromeda is stuffed--either with meaningful or meaningless--content to where they want people to experience all of the classes and gameplay changes without replaying the game multiple times. But beyond that, Shepard is an experienced combat veteran by time we got to play as them. They had time to get their training and focus on what they liked most and specialize in it. The Class system in the first three games is nothing more than Shepard saying "hey, I like doing electronics things, let me specialize in Engineering." Ryder, on the otherhand, is still a rookie; they got out of bootcamp and were either stuck in Arcturus Station or on Mars depending on if you picked Scott or Sara; they haven't had the time or the experience to go through combat and say "I like being invisible" or "I should focus on my biotics." Swapping classes and whatnot in Andromeda is just nothing more than a gameplay mechanic way of us witness the Ryder twins grow and either choose a specialized field--class--like Shepard did or dabble in a bit of everything. SAM, m ore than likely, would do nothing more than reconfigure the Ryder's implants on the fly since they have the customized ones meant specifically for the Pathfinder versus the specialized ones Shepard and everyone else has. Other than that, it's no big deal. Regardless of which class you pick, Shepard is a biotic and has biotic implants. Regardless of which class you pick, Shepard is well versed in electronics. Regardless of which class you pick, Shepard can use all weapons, even if this display was wonky in ME1 due to gameplay balance. I don't see what the big deal is.

No. I expect Alec Ryder to die to Kett and Scott/Sara yelling NANDATEEEE??!?!? YAMEROOOOO!!!!, grabbing the gun and killing everyone in range with instant expertise common within the midst of shonen anime protagonists.

Maybe SAM auto-imprints all he needs to know and learn. " I know kung fu... " Dad might have taught them a thing or two before they did a tour with the Alliance military. They might not have seen any heavy action but they should have had basic weapons training.

Both Ryder's were Alliance military, though it appears neither of them have seen much, if any combat.
One of the initiative briefings has their in-game profiles brought up that you can pause and read.
At the very least they've both been through basic training.

There better be a story reason why we can do this...SAM augmenting our abilities doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Ryder is OPd in my opinion. This does make for better game play though. I'm on the fence. You're equating gameplay mechanics to lore, and doing so across characters, platforms and stories. That just doesn't work. I was going to go into some mechanical detail, but Cypher largely addressed the main points. Shepard started the OT as an N7-- That's N (Special Operations) 7 (highest proficiency rating)-- with an impressive service record. By comparison, we don't know either Ryder twin's Alliance Vocational Code; but it's likely not overly impressive. They each had relatively short, uneventful careers. Shepard was gimped at the beginning of ME1 because we were starting a new IP. It happened again to begin ME2, because we reset the combat system, and "returned from the dead". If you imported a save file into ME3, though, Shepard was an unstoppable force of nature from the opening minutes of ME3. This is the Shepard to whom you really need to compare the young Ryders. Scott or Sara will become very capable, but they won't begin the game this way. They'll begin the game as young, former marines with special training and biotic potential. That's pretty damn impressive, but nothing next to an N7. If we get to see Alec in action, side by side with our fresh protagonist, the difference should be made manifest. Even at high levels, our new protagonist won't surpass Shepard, really. My ME3 Sheps were all versatile world-beaters. Rivaling or equaling Shepard in power, though, isn't so bad, is it? As you say, it's fun! Besides, N7s, and those of their sort, have to come from somewhere. There will be other badasses like Shepard, even if they never face anything like the Reapers. With MEA, we get to start the journey of a new badass.

I think one of devs mentioned that there is going to be a lore explanation as to why the Ryders are able to switch profiles on the fly and that not everyone can do it. They did and as per the pathfinder team video the answer to that is obviously the implants and maybe to a degree SAM.

I tried finding the tweet- but man that was so long ago. It's been buried by so many other tweets!

They probably had access to the internet, and - although they lacked any proper experience - believed thelmselves they had all the necessary skills. The game we are playing is from the viewpoint of scott and sara. They think they're the hero, so the game portrays it as such. WHile the cold hard reality is that the squadmates with decades, centuries or even a millenium of experience actually do all the work.
Also, dibs on scott and sara waking up from cryostasis at the game's end. It's all a dream, people.
