I am excited for the game, but I call it like I sees it, that was a bad demonstration of the game, and a serious setback in getting the gaming community excited for the game. They better hit the Exploration video outta the park this week. Yeah I'm thinking of cancelling my pre order again.  I'll rant behind spoilers tag :
I'm just wondering if Bioware games are for me anymore, I'm getting tired of the 50 shades of We'll bang ok (I'm not against romances and sex but Bioware going "this is why we came " and basically saying we has BOOBS on twitter + the alien that look like a penis , I thought the "Ride the Bull" was already cheap and sad but this is getting worst ) the not Miranda! with the bad Miley Cyrus haircut , the premise that makes no sense , the Krogans.... I'm kidding Krogans are great. The Obvious Mass Effect Daddy Issues...The Kewl Racoon Asari, the Ryders twins with their rosy cheeks.
But now we have a AI that basically tell us everything "Don't forget to wash your hands!" "Scan that hidden thing on your left" "Use that console right in front of you , you know the one that shows on your map!"
And basically banters consist of companions and pc talking all the time."oh I just hit my toe" "Gosh I'm hungry" "Nice weather uh" "I have that every important things to tell you now....." oh noes I jumped and she got interrupted when she was finally saying something interesting.
Why would Bioware interrupt their own audio , oh perhaps because it's mindless talk with no value whatsoever.

While I still remain skeptical on the hand holding, and the fact they did say things weren't like they seems, while they where, before (ME3 autodialogue on the demo, for example), I don't think they'd keep doing it again, and they have an explanation. So I'll be cautiously optimistic on most of the game not being on the same level.
I think it wasn't a good idea to showcase a quest where you have some much hand holding, and had to edit the dialogues out, though.

exactly. The dialogue felt like some sunday morning kids cartoon. We came a long way from ME1, which was supposed to be the opening chapter to the next Frank Herbert's DUNE like universe... a long way down. Dune? I love Dune, but Mass Effect a Dune-like universe? Where's LSD for starters? |

Also just thought I'd let you guys know the IGN journalist actually posted on reddit explaining why he played like that: Hey all. Guy playing the game here. A few notes... being handed a game in a new engine and being jumped to a mission when you've never touched the controller befor is pretty tricky. I love the original trilogy (just finished my playthrough last week actually) I know I wasn't using my incinerate correctly, but when you've failed a few times you'll throw anything at the enemies just to keep them back. I understand why it's frustrating to watch though. I would probably be raging the same way. Just know that I'm not a total noob and was relieved when I could actually get those darn shields down and use my incinerate correctly. The next day after I had some more time with the game I was actually building some decent combos. The saves also weren't mine so I was at the mercy of a build I didn't love. (I'm a vanguard biotic player all the way) I hope you'll enjoy the rest of IGN First and that I have a better showcase for you   The save file was provided so each time it was kind of like "Okay... what was this player thinking with this build. How can I use it effectively?" Mission failed on that front I guess lol. I hope the next one is better  Rest of IGN first, and next? Given your concerns, I think it'd be best for you to cancel your preorder and wait for reviews of people you trust about the game, to see if you can enjoy it. |

Clearly... couldn't be that BW has simply become bad at making good games/writing good stories after ME2. Funny, I don't see one bad game since ME2. Even if it were true, why the hell are you still hear ranting and screaming for 7 years? Time to move on if you hate the company this much. Who's ranting and screaming? I'm a critical customer... nothing more. I enjoy talking about the things that interest me, and if I see things I don't like, I comment on them. Well that, and I like sh*t posting... That's the internet for you... I know it's hard to grasp for some people these days, seeing how they practically life in it, not just use it. |

This is the first dissapointing thing MEA has shown me and if he says it for this mission itself, I guess it's okay... but we're gonna have it no doubt with the nomad introduction, shooting introduction and skills/profiles... anyway... The rest of the vid was fine, even Peebee I have no issue, she isn't annoying to me at all. If you had to play Tali's loyalty mission in ME2 from the get go without any context, she'd be complaining non stop you'd think but she wasn't after the full game with her but yeh |

Yep, noticed it too. Ive been pretty lenient with the whole facial animations thing, but this even i couldnt ignore. Lol. ...oh my. The faces were a bit weird and... plastic-y in DAI. Some people looked great, others looked like dolls. It looks even worse when you're giving out non-fleshy skin tones. |

Maybe, but if the character is sufficiently strongly and widely disliked and is obligatory rather than optional, then the distinction kinda vanishes. (Unless its a character you're supposed to dislike) (Sera was fine because if you were sick of her you could ignore her or boot her out) |

Contrary to quite a few other people, I loved Peebee. May be because I'm quite tired of the archetype of a stoic/badass female, but the whole bubbly thing has a unique charm to me. Admittedly, I skimmed through quite a bit of the video because the guy playing the game is so bad. I agree. She does seem rather endearing. Love the voice acting too. |

I wonder, when they said that they are fixing faces and animations, did they mean everyone?... Because if that's what we can expect from NPC's... That's going to take awhile. If that is from the same build of the preview, it might've been fixed. Maybe the patch will also help on this department, but I wouldn't certainly expect the animations to become stellar or really good. |

Oh man, I missed this part in skimming over the video. The face, the gun... Not looking good Bioware... I mean, seriously, how is that gun even attached to her hand? Also, it appeared as if though the audio was miles off from the actual facial animation. Looking at it now, the facial animations of themselves aren't even that bad, although not great, but the fact that the audio missed the mark completely has me worried. |

But I think there might be hints that will be dropped before the mission which will show how manipulative she can be beforehand so some Ryders I have might play will just go with it or expect it to the point they'd blame themselves for falling for it rather than her. |
