I think this is about right.
The game will be sold largely on the basis of tv spots and casual shoppers.

People still buying it, COD IW was released at the same time with BF1, or they could just go starving because there is not much out there.

I mean how many 2017 games are out there ?

Don't think internet hate will affect sales much if not at all, at the end of the day it depends if the game is good or not I guess or the time of release... regardless of reception, like another has pointed out, if MEA gets below original ME reviews, they will call it abysmal cause it ain't 10. If it gets 10, we get this

Internet hate... as in: Vocal customers of former BW products that are skeptical of the quality of the game?

It's still baseless... because those vocal customers don't actually have any access to the game yet.  I'm don't think I should give someone whose bought a BW product in the past any more credit for being able to predict the future than anyone else.  I also have to wonder about people who bother to go overboard to hate on a product pre-release while adamantly asserting they are a "better fan" than I because they've already decided to buy the game regardless or have already pre-ordered it.  If they can't listen to their own "better judgment" enough to not buy a game they figure they won't like, I have to ask - why should I?

I've always judged games post-release... and I see no reason to change my strategy now just because this particular game is attracting more pre-release skepticism than usual.

Did you see that 17min vid, it was awful. I don't know if it was the skill of the player or the game's presentation itself that put me off a bit. It reminded me so much of Inquisition; and peebee was almost as annoying as Sera. I'll definitely have to wait for the reviews.

Square-Enix's major problem is a lack of faith in their own properties not to mention the cost of their games. The sheer cost of not only making Final Fantasy XV but they made also a full-length CGI movie prequel to the game and the fact that FFXV was what almost a decade in development. Plus the fact that SE fucked up and didn't listen to their community on continuing to support both the PS4 and Xbox One instead of focusing more on PC an area that they don't have a lot experience in.

Plus the fact that can't make up their damn minds on a game should be released: should it be a complete game or serialized game like the FF7 remake. The constant changing things like combat systems adding and subtracting features that some games don't need and other do. Not to mention like the new Hitman game is a sequel or a reboot? Having unrealistic sales goals for some of their games like Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Not marketing them very well. 

Lack of faith in their products, extremely high productions, confusing decisions, unrealistic sales expectations, and topped off with poor marketing is what hurts Square-Enix more than anything IMHO.

No kidding. The people who are still butthurt about the various endings to ME3 are just as bad Star Wars prequel haters. The crybabies got their wish in both cases
with a new game that is set in new galaxy where the endings won't affect you and a new set of movies and yet they still won't shut the fuck up about how their feeling were hurt by BioWare and George Lucas.

It's a shooter. Therefore it's pretty much guaranteed to sell, regardless of how many people Bioware has p*ssed off in the past. There's always more.

It is, as the Catalyst says, inevitable.
