Lost Ark Theories: Which is the Lost Ark & What Happened to It?
So about this upcoming book which intriguingly refers to a 'Lost Ark'. The Hyperion supposedly arrives 37 years later than the other arks in the Andromeda Initiative making the Hyperion the 'lost ark' so far as we know (at least from our perspectives) but isn't this probably just a bit of cheap misdirection and when we finally make contact with the other arks... surprise-surprise we find out the 'lost ark' actually refers to one of the other species' arks which is genuinely missing and has never been found yet?
If this is the case which one of these arks do you think is the missing one and what do you think might have happened to it?

My money is on the Asari at the moment if they aren't referring to the human ark.

OP, I think you got the arks switched up. The Natanis is the Turian ark and the Parchero is the Salarian Ark. I thought that as well but both IGN and the Wikia refers to the Turian ark as the Parchero. Nantanis does sound a lot more Turian to me. |

I voted asari because they seem to be the writers pet for things like this. Human might be too obvious, but could be. It seems Salarians are most unlikely, then Turians.
Kind of off topic, but I'm replaying ME1 atm and there is a bit of dialogue near the beginning of the game, on Noveria, that says Synthetic Insights is one of four corporations that are certified by the council to perform Artificial Intelligence development. Possible link to Andromeda Initiative origins?

On the other - we'll know everything what happened on Hyperion first hand in-game, while with asari Ark we'll supposedly deal with consequences of what happened there. I was thinking maybe that the Helius sector may be to the locals viewed as cursed or have some superstition attached to it like the Bermuda Triangle. One of leaks mentioned mission with asari escape pods. They could be from any ship, mind yo (hence "?" mark), but Ark is also a possibility. |
