Multiplayer Feedback ~ General discussion

Been playing all day and still have no idea what I'm doing. The tutorial is basic at best, no one is using comm's in matchmaking, my APEX score just disappeared, and have only made it through 1 or 2 games out of a bunch. I love the way the game feels, but in almost every run, there's 4 of us just fumbling around shooting at shit w/out any guidance or cohesion. Bronze is hard, but I accept the learning curve, when I figure out what it is I need to actually know.

Edit: Black screened 2x right after XBone come back, and am now lagging out real bad in quick match. Not an IT guy so I got no suggestions for a fix. 

It is normal to feel overwhelmed early on, but over time it will get much easier. Bronze will be hard early on but as you level up you will feel more confident as your weapons and powers will do more damage. 

Most of the games I joined with randoms in the trial, had some cohesion to a degree, but most do what they want and just shoot to kill where ever they want, but when it comes to the objectives you really need to work together. You don't necessarily need a mic for bronze, just need to hope the other players have some common sense.

Best strategy for when you get to the extraction is to go away from the actual extraction point, you don't want to go there straight away. Try and kill as many as you can away from the area and if it gets hectic bolt somewhere else until there is like 20 - 30 secs left. Then that is the time to go to extraction and bunker in, if you have some rockets they can help as well but are not needed if you have done what I said before. 

In the trial I was booted to the dash board a few times mid match on xbox one, so it has a few bugs, unfortunately you will get lag every now and then depending on the host. 

I hope Bioware will patch in text chat for PC at some point.

Removing reload cancelling was a good thing. Removing grabs and heavy melee was bad

Actually love the feature that if u joined even on wave 7 u will get full credits/exp

If you're in the air, whether it's a short jump or a high one, you slam down if you melee. I consider this to be the new heavy melee.

If I can't play something similar to my beloved pull/reave Drell or the Fury, setting off my own explosions every few seconds, I'll have no interest in the MP because I don't like using guns.

The lack in proper sound effects is very disppointing to say the least. If they don't patch that, that kills it for me completely.

So did Montreal even fuck up the MP or what? *sigh*

A short lag and disconnect-fest comparison;

Played 3 MP's; ME3MP, DAIMP, and now MEAMP, from China (Shanghai), via a VPN to a U.S.-based proxy server.

ME3MP performs fairly well, DAIMP worse, and MEAMP terrible.

MEAMP last two days; disconnects wave 4 or 5 about 80% of the time, with lag really, really bad. The internet connection is fairly fast, but with the same connection, same VPN using the same connection protocol, and same proxy server, MEAMP was significantly worse than even DAIMP.

Hopefully it gets better as bugs are ironed out. Will test it next week from Taiwan (with and without VPN) to compare those results with the craptastic China results.

Thats just a Kett Ascendant, shoot the orb, then shoot the guy.

He is annoying though, but that is mostly due to his sync-kills.

Biggest issue I am seeing so far is in public lobbies everyone readies, timer counts down to zero and then nothing happens, the game doesn't load you just sit there. Un-readying and readying starts the countdown timer again, but the same thing happens. Anyone else experiencing this and are there any known fixes? I haven't been able to get anything to work and just have to leave the lobby and find another one.

There is one huge problem with Multiplayer in this game.

Not being able to have a friend and play together.

My brother went out and bought this game JUST so me and him could play the MP together. He wasn't going to buy the game right now. Guess what? We can't play together. I've tried all the "tricks" mentioned in various posts across the internet, and nothing works. So, right now my brother and I are pretty upset since he went and spent 70- bucks on the game to play it with me, and we can't.

PLEASE adjust your group que's Bioware so that people in groups of 2 get just as much priority as groups of 3. Or better yet, just let people group and que together. It's obvious to me that the que priority goes to larger groups first, this is killing MP for friends and family who want to play together. It is unfair to people who don't have nor want a large friends list to play with. If you create a Custom match no one joins if you are two people, but they do in one second if you are 3. We sat for 10 min and not a single person joined. Yes, I did the Private then Public switch, many times. Nothing. But, we can que alone and get into a group right then, in both Quick and Custom match. This needs to be addressed ASAP. Why can't people just do like other MP games and group then que together? I don't get it. Really upset with this issue.
