I think they really need a party system. right now when i make a room for me and my friend we get zero public people joining. we have waited for up to 20 min before we give up. It is insane that we can't join a party together. We know there are people playing because if you go to quick match you instantly get matched with people. If we have 3 people in our party then we usually get a single guy pretty fast, which is great! but if it drops to 2 then you get zero people joining. pleas make a party system where you can search for a game with more than 1 person. I love the multiplayer but its very frustrating right now.

Okay, so here is my feedback on multiplayer. I have 600+ hours on ME3MP, so I'm not a casual or a newbie who just got on the multiplayer game. I was a huge fan of ME3MP, it wasn't the best thing ever, but it was simple enough to be really cool to play. Now, about MEAMP. I have played it roughly 30 hours with 2 friends. We think that MEAMP is the worst thing possible for the multiplayer. - The weapons have no punch, they feel like plastic guns and are useless for a great number of them. The Ruzhad, " The successor of the Claymore "... Yeah, successor of the Katana I should say. - The powers... Ho god... Most of them feel not as powerful as they should and the combo explosion, they have sound and light, but they are not as powerful as they look like. - The Kits SHOULD feel unique and have personnalities... I played with a few of them and they are much more " nameless fighters " than the ones on ME3MP. - The Strike Teams. HA. What a joke. When I see " -50% weapons damage " I cannot stop laughing. They sold it as something with a little story and a something new and exciting... Yet, there is no challenge since the base game is broken. - The game itself... This is not tactical at all, the ennemies swarm you from EVERYWHERE, you cannot stand in a place for 2 seconds (well, with the Salarian infiltrator can, because he can go invisible) before ennemies start to eat you alive. If I should resume the game, it will be " Jump, spam powers, shoot, repeat. " Yes, the game is very energetic and feel more " quick ". yet, I find it sooo boring and long. There is no punch in the game itself, you just have to jump like a rabbit and press the melee button between the spam of powers. - The objectives. We have the new " stand in 3 zones to hack them " which I like a lot, yet we, lost the " take the package " (you know, the backpack) and no other new things. - The ennemis faction, well it's personnal, but I find them to have no charisma. The ennemies are HP-Bags and yet, I don't feel " powerful " when I kill a boss. Well, all of this to say, I'm not the kind of guy who says " It was better before " but MEAMP (which I was expecting so so much) is a big disapointment and download ME3 back just for the multiplayer. MEA in itself is a big disapointment, I like more or less the main story, but no other things. 6/10 in my opinion (and it's a huge Mass Effect fan rating, sadly) Have a good day everyone and I hope you enjoy the game Ps : Sorry for the bad grammar/phrasing I'm French

Seeing as I just died in my first round of multiplayer because I couldn't use my equipment due to the fact that duplicate keybinds get removed, multiplayer keybinds should be separated from single players. I remapped the favorites keys to 1-4 since I have an MMO mouse and there's no reason for me to have them mapped to the top of my keyboard where my fingers have to leave WSAD--and I'd have to look at the keyboard, but that's another matter entirely--and 30 hours into single player without touching strike team multiplayer stuff, I went into my first match not knowing that my keybinds were removed for multiplayer items. Team died, I was solo with a level 1 character with underpowered weapons, and of course I died because I couldn't spam healing items or the RPG. And of course, I can't address this in the menu because keybinding them to functions just removes my single player stuff. I have 19 buttons on my mouse, and damn near everything but scan, movement, and interact is on my mouse. There should be a way to change multiplayer keybinds without altering single player keybinds so I can map equipment to 4-7 without changing my favorites. leave the primary default key binds alone and just map everything under secondary to the mouse buttons this way you should get what your looking for without affecting either sp or mp in a negative way I tried that and it just unmaps my keybinds.

Losing connection every other match for the last two weeks, but tonight I lost connection something like 14 out of 18 games. All I wanted was to run a couple gold matches, but after hours and hours of lost connections, it's 5am and I'm out of credits and have 1 cobra left. I'm a pretty patient man, but at this point I'm pretty near to being one of those people who goes on the internet just to shit on bioware.

I had that going on yesterday and I had to quit and go do something else just to have a little sanity left. Might try again in a little while though.

Same for me last night too, had about 12 disconnects, some on wave 6. Managed about 4 full games I think. The loss of consumables annoys me more than anything else really. Looking forward to see what they patch (or announce they'll be patching) next week as that will decide how I move forward with this game.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but Apex is really slow to catch up with the in-game progress? N7 seemed to have updated within minutes, but Apex is behind a full day or so? Is it just me?
And, heh, am I the only one secretly relieved that carrying the pizza is no longer a thing?

Hmm no crashes at all this evening's gaming session for me. I disabled Origin in-game yesterday, and didn't have crashes anymore. Would it be possible that the two are correlated?
Still lag sometimes though...
So I tried to do my best at silver this day, but my low-level higher rarity weapons that I tried out seemed a bit weak. The Venom is nice though, as long as there's no lag... And the Katana still is crap, like in ME3.
EDIT: Yep, Origin In-game is buggy, it at least causes infinite loading screen (forgot to turn it off just yet... )

To be honest I find most weapons, both in SP and in MP, to be completely and utterly underwhelming. A ton of the abilities are a complete waste of time and effort as well. We need to see a ton of buffs almost across the board.

I just unlocked the Vanquisher, and oh boy finally a gun that kills stuff. Like, WHAT? guns actually killing NPCs? this is no ME:A? what is this?? Anyways, finally something that doesn't feel like a nerf gun for a change. Was so optimistic carrying the team single handed on bronze for a couple of matches that decided to jump into silver. And Jesus effing Christ they're even more bullet spongy. Enemies have like 4x the health they have on bronze. I was able to one shot remmant in critical spots in bronze, and in silver I need to 3 to 4 shot a single remmant to kill it with the Vanquisher (well, being lagged AF didn't help much either), plus they deal heaps of damage. It feels like ME3MP Gold tbh. The packs in the store are awful. They give little to nothing in terms of items. And even less consumables so if people was paranoid of using consumables in ME3, imagine how many people are gonna try and equip any type of ammo or power booster here. Yeah that's right, no one will because the "oh my god I don't really have that many consumables, better save them for X" mentality if gonna kick real fast. I bought the 50k pack (whatever the heck is called), and got one rare weapon, one common weapon and 3 consumables, that's right, 3 in total (1x health, 1x missile, 1x shield thingy). Holy cow this is gonna be grindy as hell. Side note: What the hell is it with this game disconnecting every time you try to send a strike team to do a mission?? god mother effing dammit!! To be honest I find most weapons, both in SP and in MP, to be completely and utterly underwhelming. A ton of the abilities are a complete waste of time and effort as well. We need to see a ton of buffs almost across the board. This. Even in SP guns and powers are awful. Back in ME3 days I used to test guns in SP to see if they may be viable for MP, rule of thumb was never use a gun in MP if it sucks even in SP. Here in ME:A most weapons are awful, same with powers. Is like fun is not allowed in this game.

Quite tired of trying to do APEX missions and getting dumped into a lobby with some of the settings and not the mission. I know what you mean, I usually stay away from that section because of crashing.. I use the phone app to do the strikes while I'm not in game, seems to work better, just use it to farm mission funds..

I'm unsure if it's tied to the gladiator patch that was released, but last night I found that my disconnect and crash rate skyrocketed. I had at least 5 different instances of sudden disconnect or crash events last night, all on different hosts. I lost tons of consumables and time as most of the disconnects happened on Silver, waves 4-6. Anyone else notice a similar spike in disconnects yesterday? It's the game being scared shitless of this ultra-rare Krogan. It's like Neo corrupting the matrix, but Krogan style.

By default, if I understand properly, the game enables voice chat, and does not use a push-to-talk scheme but instead uses an open microphone system.
Of course, if you do not have a microphone enabled, this does not mean anything.
But quite a variety of equipment these days comes with microphones.
Unfortunately, the net result of this is that frequently multiplayer games will have someone whose rig sends noise at high volume to the other players in the squad. Probably unknowingly. Perhaps, in some sense, "realistic" but still annoying, distracting and sometimes painful.
Also the only option you have to mute another player is in the lobby.
And yet, there's no indication of *which* player is making the noise. So really your only option is to mute everyone (or, try to mute everyone - there's no real confirmation of who got muted and I have noticed that the "vote to kick player" option will quite easily vote to kick the wrong player).
Anyways... this is a mess.

In PC you just hit the ESC key and it'll bring a "player screen" of sorts with everyone listed, then start moving and muting at random with the X key because as you said there's no way of knowing who's who. Btw use the arrow keys to select players, the mouse pointer is bugged in that screen for some reason.

I don't have any definite evidence of this but I have a feeling some of the MP server disconnections are related to strike team stuff and/or the mobile app. I sometimes get disconnected around the same time I get a notification on my phone that a strike team is done with a mission, and right now I get disconnected about 10 seconds after going into my strike team menu while in the MP section of the game.
Is there anyone else who uses the app heavily who also gets frequent disconnections?

It happens all the time to the point I have to wait until the next day to try and send them again.

Whatever has been going on behind the scenes seems to have been working. Still a couple disconnects tonight but way better than my average. Most games were playable all the way through. Big thumbs up for whoever's been working on server stuff.

In PC you just hit the ESC key and it'll bring a "player screen" of sorts with everyone listed, then start moving and muting at random with the X key because as you said there's no way of knowing who's who. Btw use the arrow keys to select players, the mouse pointer is bugged in that screen for some reason. The problem with muting people is that after you mute someone you don't hear the announcer anymore telling you when there's an objective wave or extraction. I tried telling people they have an open mic since you can hear sometimes personal discussions that are surely not meant for everyone, but most people don't even realize after that, they are transmitting. Had one who had a fire-alarm going off, very annoying. The standard setting should be push-to-talk and not voice activated, many people play with a microphone on and don't realize it. After some 50+ hours of MP I feel like it could have used more polish, even compared to the first ME3 MP days (I played the ME3 MP demo back then and gotten over 1000h of MP after that). -The 3 factions don't feel balanced, Kett have two enemies that can sync-kill, the other factions none, most lobbies I join have the enemy set to outlaw since they are easiest, everyone knows their weakpoints, they only have Berserkers and Adhis to drive you out of cover and both are rather easy to deal with and the Hydra is - even compared to the good old Atlas - a pushover that can't even sync-kill - at least it never did anyone and I punched it in the face enough times. Remnant feel the most balanced, the Nullifier can be a tad bit too annoying as he fires a bit too frequently with his cover-penetrating shot and can track you through solid walls. Other than that I like the enemy. Kett feel a bit like Reapers in the early days or Collectors (although not quite as obnoxious) which is fine I guess, but there's some bugs making them more annoying than need be, Fiends insta-killing you from two levels below you for instance. The Ascendent I quite like with the orb mechanic, although he shouldn't be able to sync kill right after teleporting through solid walls, should be some kind of cooldown imho. -The crashes need to be addressed, how this did not show while play-testing is beyond me. At least I don't have the memory leak problem like in single player where after a while you get the infamous DirectX out of memory bug, but the Crashes to Desktop are even more annoying since you don't know what causes them. At least give me the cash I earned in the objective rounds until the crash (had so many crashes in Extraction waves...) -Movement feels a bit clunky, since many times you jump somewhere and only after the third try your character grabs the ledge. And when landing your character first does a recovery animation which stops the flow. Destiny was much more fluent gameplay wise. There you couldn't grab onto ledges. Either you jumped high enough and landed right away or not, not something in between that stops movement. -Reload animations get interrupted by way to many things, even lag sometimes. You have to mash the button sometimes just to keep your character from interrupting the reload. Only specific instances should interrupt reload, like firing or switching guns, but not sprinting, jumping or lag. -Cobra animations have the same problem, when I press the cobra button you can be damn sure I want to use it, not change it to a gun by any small interruption. -Timer on devices is a bit to harsh, you practically have to be right next to the next device in order to get a gold rating. And it gets interrupted by lag as well, I've had to press the button like 10 times sometimes just to finish disabling it. -We need to see the Ping to the host in the lobby, right now it's a coin-toss to get in a lobby with someone that's not severely lagging. I'd host myself, but it appears when I host (50/5Mbit stable cable connection) no one joins. Same problem when I have a friend in the lobby, the other two spots never fill. -When I select to join a strike team mission in Multiplayer, I only want to play that mission, nothing else. It's annoying to select an APEX mission just to have to try 10 times to join a lobby that actually has that mission and not a custom match with some of the parameters of the mission. In the beginning I joined those matches not knowing I wouldn't get the Mission Funds or bonuses of the mission. -There's already cheaters, I joined a game with infinite ammo, no need for reloads and instant power recharge. Was a pretty dull match. -Last but not least - Weapon and Power balancing need to be looked at. Right now you either need to wield a sniper (Vanquisher) or be a Melee Vanguard in order to be able to compete. While using other characters and guns, especially on gold can also be fun, they don't feel like you make any kind of impact. If I land a headshot with my Carnifex a basic mook should die with 1-2 shots, not tank more for instance. Biotics and Tech-characters felt like a real alternative in ME3 MP, you could even forego playing with any weapon in favor of a recharge-optimited build. Not only did they take away the possibility to get 200% recharge rate (which would have been fine if the recharge rates would have been normalized with the new 100%) but they do way less damage. When I do a biotic explosion with two rank 6 primers/detonators and passives skilled for biotic explosions, basic grunts should die. Period.
