N7 Armor (Official Thread)

These large astronaut helmets have really grown on me.

Mmm... Some of the armor I've seen in other videos is a bit cooler than the N7 stuff. Besides, unless Ryder actually becomes the rank of N7 I wouldn't feel right wearing the armor.

I mean if it were anything BUT N7, sure. They're interesting looking. But...Ryder isn't even in the N-training-whatever, as far as I know? So. I mean.

Unless a situation comes up in which Sara can pry them off of the corpse of an N7 and wear them around like some sort of spoils of war -- which would seem pretty messed up -- I don't guess so. And unless the stats were REAL AWESOME, I don't think at least the Ryder in my brain would wear something for a rank she doesn't possess. Unless that's not now N7 armor works??? Is it a brand? Look, I'm overthinking this and don't know all the lore still, but. Reasons.

Maybe. It all depends on how they are presented this time. 
Shepard stuck out being space Jesus and all so I didn't really get the sense I was this elite tactical soldier and we didn't really interact too heavily with other n7 forces. It was just Shepard doing his/her thing.
If they actually give me that elite special forces vibe then I might go for it.

Definitely going to be giving it a new color scheme though if I do wear the N7 armor.

The armour itself looks sweet, but I'd rather have it with an Andromeda Initiative logo on it. Ryder isn't an N7.

The armor looks really nice but I don't want to wear my father's N7 armor.

I just hope Ryder will deserve to wear it. N7 is for the best of the best.
And how exactly fathers armor will fit on Sara?

I have N7 hoodie and am not N7
I won't care whether Ryder is N7 or not, I just love N7 gear color scheme (White and blue of AI armor, while it looks good, doesn't interest me)

That's fair. It wold be interesting if it's story-related. Honestly, I was under the impression it would probably just be something we have to craft. We'll find out though!

Being the one in charge of finding humanity a new home in a new galaxy seems like a qualifying factor!

Agreed! I didn't care for a lot of the armor sets in the Mass Effect trilogy, but BioWare Montreal has really outdone itself!

We should make an N7 Enthusiasts Club! Everybody who wants to wear N7 armor can join!!!

Truthfully, it doesn't really hold meaning for anyone since it's never been elaborated on. I still love the look and the design of the armor! It would be even better if MEA actually bothered to flesh out the N7 and not just throw the armor in the game.

Agreed. N7 was horribly underused in the original trilogy and was never anything more than an emblem on Shepard's armor. I'd like to see that change with MEA, and hopefully Alec Ryder will be our means of fleshing out the N7 Program. That would make wearing the armor a whole lot more satisfying as well!

Also I've been increasingly considering MEA to be a chance for Bioware to explore a lot of Milky Way lore (albeit with much of it optional or without direct connections), while not having a requirement of actually having to design the locations and major gameplay sections having to do with that lore.

We may very well get more N7 story than ever before, and more options to affiliate with it, even if in more optional and perhaps relatively symbolic ways.

There may be intriguing reveals, or maybe not.
