Thinking of buying the game, eventually. PC is not an option at this point, monetary wise, i have quite old machine.
Which console would people recommend, PS4 or XBOXONE? This is considering controls, graphic setting, netplay etc. all the stuff.

Depends which console you prefer, no? Personally, I prefer Xbone. So the game will be bought for that, since I don't have a PS4.

I dont have either of the new consoles yet, ive played the originals on Xbox360, so im familiar with the controls for the old games on that, unless they have drastically changed. Just checking for people who have played the ps3 ones, how are the ps controlles for example, if i wanna go for PS4?

I prefer the Xbox controller having played the OT on both consoles, but if you want better graphics I would say go for the PS4(as much as the xbox fangirl in me hates saying that.)

We don't really know much about controls or how good the netcode will be for MP, though since the controllers haven't changed a great deal I suspect the controls wont have changed a great deal either.
As far as graphics go the Xbox One runs at 900p while the PS4 runs at 1080p. The PS4 Pro renders at 1800p using something called checkerboard rendering, which is a trick they use to make it take less resources at the cost of some image quality(but it will still look a fair bit better than 1080p).
Which is how it is in most games. Simply put, the Xbox One has weaker hardware than the PS4 and especially the PS4 Pro. The Scorpio which is the Xbox version of the pro is supposed to be pretty powerful for a console, but we don't know the specs yet.

I've being going with PC lately, but I prefer XBOX when it comes to consoles. I always end up selling or giving away my PlayStations. I have an XBOX ONE. There are more people with PS4s that XBOX ONEs, so you'll have more people to play with on PS4. If you're interested in Multiplayer.

I would say PS4 since that console has better exclusives, and will run the game at a higher resolution (native 1080p vs upscaled 900p on Xbox), but ultimately the choice is yours.

Visually, the PS4 version will look slightly better. The PS4 Pro will look slightly better than the PS4. Control-wise, Microsoft is still king of the controller. The Dual Shock 4 isn't bad, but the X1 controller is unrivaled. Since you played the original trilogy on the Xbox 360, you may as well pick up an X1. They are dirt cheap now, even more so than a PS4.

Ehh visual's on PS4 vs XB1 will be about the same but XB1 will be at 900p instead of 1080p. You also wont notice that difference in the slightest with out a side by side comparison. PS4 Pro is another matter all together as you'll get a much higher resolution + high graphical fidelity in general. That is, the effects/aliasing and all that will just be higher quality on the next step up of consoles. Same will be for Scorpio when that hits end of the year. For me, I prefer XB1, but it's a controller/console support thing. If your used to Xbox, you may also just prefer the XB1. Controllers usually simpler support on PC too for whenever you go that route (and most games don't have PS4 button visuals so your stuck figuring that shit out in your brain which can throw a lot of people). And ehh, last but not least, since you'll eventually be getting PC anyway? XB1 is cheaper. So if your looking for an in between for now till you get a PC, XB1 will get you there cheaper with a controller you might prefer that'll work good with your PC. And yeah, I know, PS4 controller also 'works good' on PC but it usually requires a bit more setup (depending on the game of course). As for reasons to get a PS4 instead? If you want any of there exclusives that's a pretty good reason to go for it over a XB1. Exclusives aside though I'd personally never be able to justify it, but I also have a preference for the controller and like MS monthly update/support. edit: Oh, also EA Access is on XB1, not on PS4. You can thank Sony for that one. So 5 day (10 hours limit) early access for 5 bucks, with a 10% price cut on the game so it's... technically cheaper then just the game straight. Save 1 whole dollar, or 2 if you go for the Delux. Re-edit: If you go XB1 you 100% should get EA Access for the month 'before' grab Andromeda, even if your only 1-2 before launch. Cheaper + those extra hours on Monday before the midnight release and all that. Unless, of course, your not getting it at release then... yeah who cares. heh

Yeah, that's a lot of peoples opinion, not really one I've ever shared. I get it though, if your in it just for the exclusives and not for the console echosystem it's self then theres little reason (unless your super into Halo). That said, pretty much all the MS titles coming out on both now can be bought for both with only one purchase which is nice for people who intend to play both on a console and a PC instead of just completely transitioning. Me personally? I'm a console primarily, gave up on PC's long time ago. Just don't like dealing with them anymore (still do, just rarer now). So I'm personally in it for the actual systems echosystem and all but 1 of Sony's titles are games I usually would rather watch as a movie then actually play so I don't have the same pull to them I would otherwise have. Like I was saying, if he actually wants/cares about the PS4 exclusives, it's probably the better option. If he doesn't then he can get the combo cheaper with early access going XB1. Plus the controller will be more familiar and work on his upcoming PC.

Oh yeah, one thing I didn't mention (and no one has looks like). MS still has the more stable/supported network. Cloud save systems less janky, it's just a general smoother user experience.
PS4 has more numbers though, kinda curious how that'll play out in the MP section considering Mass Effect has always been an Xbox game. Might end up being more even ended then other multiplatform titles. Might not though, curious to see where that ends up falling. Either way there will be plenty of people on all 3 platforms so It's not much of a thing either way.

PS4 versions of games generally have (slightly) better performance and will occasionally run at higher resolutions, though I'm not sure if we know what Andromeda will run at or how the performance on consoles will be beyond the 30 fps target. At the end of the day, I'd say go with whichever system you feel more comfortable playing on, or if you have friends who play, whichever platform they're on so you can play multiplayer together.

As you don't own either console yet, I'd recommend going with the PS4 Pro, you'll get better performance and visuals and access to some amazing PS4 exclusives. The PS4 controller and UI is also a lot better than the PS3s, the PS4 controller is actually my favourite controller at the moment, the XboxOne's is very nice, but the PS4's share button and inbuilt speaker puts it over the top for me.
At E3 last year, Microsoft basically told anyone thinking of buying an Xbox one to wait for the Scorpio. Any version of the Xbox you buy now will be surpassed in a few months when the Scorpio is released.
If that doesn't bother you, you have a 360 and you're not that interested in the PS4 exclusives, then the Xbox One Slim would be the way to go; backwards compatibility with your 360 games, 4K blueray and video streaming, very nice controller and the XboxOne UI has improved drastically since launch.
I loved my 360 last gen, but when the time came to upgrade a couple of years ago the PS4 was far better than the XboxOne so I bought that and love it.Over the past few years though the XboxOne has really improved and I would've bought one already if not for the impending release of the Scorpio.

If money is tight and you are only going to get one console I would say get PS4. It simply has much better games available for it than Xbone. You have Uncharted, The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn, and many more. Just from a gaming perspective at the moment the PS4 is a better investment.

There is 2 things you should keep in mind when buying a console. Exclusives & Multiplayer!! If you care about multiplayer & like to play with friends, then you should buy the same console they have. If you care about exclusive games, then you should check which console has the exclusives that you prefer. Personally ps4 has the better exclusives.
If you do not care about any of that, then just buy the cheapest of the 2.
Also me personally i prefer the ps4 controller over the xbone controller.

I say get it for Xbox One, but that's if you plan to buy one. Me I own both a PC and Xbox One (upgraded from a Xbox 360), could not choose so pre-ordered MEA for both of them.
