It's not the worst, but Bioware emphasis on secrecy hasn't made people who are skeptical of the game put at ease.

I would like to think they know a thing or two about marketing games by now. If not, EA does. Are you buying it? Yes? Then the marketing worked. And if one were to, say, not be convinced yet, despite being a longtime Bioware gamer?  |

Sometimes I get the impression they didn't start production until this year or something. I dunno what the process is. Did they have to get all assets done first and then create animations during the final cycle? It's really not normal for games to get built this late in development and Andromeda really looks crude at this point.

I think the intention of wanting to not spoil the game and only covering the necessary topics is the right course of action. Perhaps execution could be improved, but I also wouldn't want BioWare to go back to how they used to do pre-launch marketing where they revealed everything.
Also, no more exclusive partnerships with IGN. I can't take another one of those videos with cringe-worthy combat due to an incompetent player.

That is because there wasn't any footage or information that could have changed during development that causes those comments. If it was just simply people complaining on the internet it might not have had an impact either, but when people start with Federal complaints or trying to start a class action lawsuit based on early information they are going to protect themselves from a major fine or lawsuit. |
