Joined a PUG last night and immediately noticed that the Quarian with the Blackwidow was really rocking the map. Point, shoot, dead. I wasn't paying attention to the other powers, I assumed it was a QFI. Got back to the lobby, after the score was announced (the Quarian had over double the 2nd place score).
Nope, not a QFI, it was an engineer.
Now I'm obsessed with how to build this, LOL.

No, op. When someone with an Avenger point, shoot, dead with a pulse burst is when you know someone is much better then you. These pros are unfortunately pc mustard exclusive.

Female Quarian Engineer works very well with a sniper rifle. I spec her with max debuff cryo blast and shock/ap/rocket sentry turret. Sentry turret is highly underrated. The cooldown is terrific on it as well as cryo blast. Throw sentry turret into a crowd and freeze them, then work on other targets somewhere else. I get a lot of sentry turret kills this way. Even on Gold.
The combination of shock and rockets keeps a lot of the bad guys from charging forward. The rockets and shock both stagger, which help make for easy sniping targets. The trick with Sentry turret is to cryo blast targets around, or near it. Then let it mop up. Incenerate targets farthest away from it. The turret will take care of the other frozen targets.
Just throwing sentry turret out alone doesn't work well at all, as it dies quickly. That's where a lot of people just give up on it.
Another thing to consider is, the map being played. Some maps are a sniper's dream. There's a place on FB London where I get a ton of sniper kills. I usually go with the Valiant though. I'm not the best sniper, but I very frequently get top scorer with this build.

My guess is they were running something like this. I'd typically use an Acolyte, Scorpion or Arc Pistol with a Power Magnifyer and power damage passives, but you should try that and see if it yields similar results to what you saw.

I need to look for a good spot on London. I've always hated that map.

On FB London, the high platform closest to the extraction point is perfect for sniping. You can see most of the map there, and also see over a lot of the obstructions on the map.

I do realize the thread is about sniper QFEs but there truly is only one sniper for her - the one that goes BOOM and works best at point blank range. Sorry, I'm a bit buzzed as I just unlocked my third Claymore IV, having been stuck at III for ages. I have two Claymore Xs already. It's not enough, it can never be enough.

Unlocking the Claymore might be the one and only reason I'll end up buying ME:A. Just saying... Didn't they confirm that it isn't in Andromeda MP or SP? I don't care for the Andromeda boards - those SP and DAI folks are a troublesome bunch, but I do care about Claymore news. They said there's a spiritual successor - I have my doubts.

Maybe the two-shot Claymore Bakara whips out on Sur'Kesh. Or two Claymores glued together. Or a shotgun that shoots full-size Claymores. Or a Krogan who has surgically replaced his nether regions with a Claymore and wields another with each arm.

My guess is they were running something like this. I'd typically use an Acolyte, Scorpion or Arc Pistol with a Power Magnifyer and power damage passives, but you should try that and see if it yields similar results to what you saw. I tried this build out tonight using a Valiant. It's an amazing combination. Very impressive.
