People used to complain that ME3MP's Full Manifest grind was damn slow, averaging 600-900 Hours. Then Bioware came up with DAIMP which features a Manifest Progression twice as slow. So, How much time are you looking to invest this time around? My vote is 200-400 Hours. However, once all extra content comes out, I believe we can extend that to 400-600 Hours tops - I am dead against having to invest more than that for a Manifest grind even for people who do not play whatever level comes above Gold. I set this poll to lock itself a month after the game is out, just in case. By that time we will have gotten a clear idea of how the RNG system works (as well as threads complaining about how bad it is ).

I'm going to go with around 200h cause that's how much time I spent in the ME3MP and I feel by that time I shouldn't still be missing a lot of stuff in my manifest...

I tend to agree with the 200-400 hour time slot for manifest grind.
Since, 3 hours a day for 100 days is 300 hours. Or 1000 matches at 20 minutes a match is 333.333 hours.
The entire game shouldn't be manifest grind, once you max your manifest, then you can starting grinding challenges for many thousands of hours.

I find the idea of using the "grind" mechanic to pull people in to be extremely annoying, and actually counter productive - at least on me. The grind is not going to cause me to keep playing. Especially not if the online connection is about as (un)stable as BW previous title, or if the gameplay itself is not particularlay interesting and fun for me. I can pretty much guarantee that EAware will push a huge grind on players in an attempt to get them to buy packs.

300-400 on release, then probably another 100-150 per DLC.

About $1400, I mean, 700 hours. And I'm saying it just because 700 hours was around the time I got impatient and totally NOT used Cheat Engine to finish the couple missing Ultra-Rares.

Sitting at around 600 hours and still haven't maxed my URs...sitting at Javelin IX for months is so damn frustrating...
Also it seems like some weapons just hate me. Indra and Venom come to mind. They are like II or III at the moment...

I'm going to say close to 500 hours. When a new missile glitch is discovered there will still be somewhat of a buffer that way.

Voted for between 200-400 hours.
Grinding and unlocking new shiny things is fun for a while, but it is not enough to keep me engaged. Just recently stopped playing Warframe for that reason. Found myself playing the same boring missions over and over again, just to get enough resources/credits in order to be able to buy a specific weapon or character that I want. Once I have them: rince and repeat for the next one.
I hope that MEA MP will offer more than that, and so far, I am cautiously optimistic.

There should be a stark difference between completing and maxing a manifest. It should not take an excessive amount of time to unlock every weapon. That would drive away casual players. However, grinding for max rank ultra-rares seems appropriate. If you care enough to chase maxed-stat weapons then you should be able to accept the long game. It's the hidden, but reasonable, cost of free multiplayer access.
In comparison to ME3MP, I'd prefer a faster path to having a full arsenal and an equivalent time to max them all out.

I voted 200-400 hours, because 900 is way too much, although better than almost 1300 in DAMP. Playing the game without praying to RNG is so much fun.

I went with 400-600. I maxed mine at about 600 in the last game and it felt about right for completing the entire manifest. Starting weapons, I would say no more than 200 hours though.

400-600 seems fair. My thought before actually seeing the options was 500.
For the record, I have ~2000 hours in DAMP and still don't have that last weapon. I hope nothing is designed like that ever again, in any game.

I'm not sure but it should be easier for me without it looking easier on the outside. I mean, I need to look like a badass but I also need to be able to handle it all very fast and carefree, like without failing too hard. And yes yes, challenges and hard work is what makes it all worth it bla bla blaaaaaaa but still.... I just need to LOOK like I'm a pro without working too hard for it.

I voted 1000+ because I have no life, and I know you don't either I might end up playing that much for the first six months alone. I guess many BSNers will too. Still, I think that somewhere between 1/3 to 1/2 of that time should be ideal to max one's manifest. Progression in-game should not be balanced having hardcore players as the standard... Or they will end up with an utter failure like DAIMP, in which progress was so slow that it even killed the idea of spending real money on the game's store. Even if Bioware/EA believe that in-game progress should be pretty lengthy so that more people will spend real money on the store, they have to consider that people who spend money do so desperately looking for shortcuts and instant, meaningful acquisitions; they won't be playing this game for hundreds of hours and they are not looking for that when they open their wallets.

Doesn't matter too much to me being retired, probably in the 400 hours. Never really saw it a a grind as I enjoyed the journey very much, groups of us saving credits then having a night of just opening packs and discussing what we received then trying the new toys out. Played hundreds of games, well into the hundreds of hours after my manifest was finished helping others which was fun as well.

400-600 hours seems right in my book.
Not something I'd likely achive, but there should be a goal post that is just outside the range of even active players.
