Hmmmm...that theme song is bordering on bad chessy 80's throwback.... ...... Look at ME2's trailer AND music.....yes different characters, but you feel the excitement in this trailer...

Oh man, I can already hear some of the complaints that are going to arise from this trailer. Time to break out the popcorn! Well there were no dead action figure eyes, good facial animations. So apparently all 'golden worlds' are bust; that's a pretty big spoiler. ... the song, though ... ugh ...
Not really. They could never detect them in the first place. They weren't prepared to tell people about the Reapers and people wouldn't sign up if they knew they were flying in blind. The idea that they could detect viable worlds in another galaxy, but not be able to detect what's behind a relay in their own galaxy is absurd... oh, right this is Mac Walters we're talking about. Nevermind. Shit doesn't have to make sense. All bets are off.

Salty... Why is it a absurd? A few decades ago we couldn't see exoplanets a few light years away and now we are almost at the point where we can detect their atmosphere. But all observation is limited by light. So any detection would be ~2.5 milion years old in Andromeda. Also about the Relays, the problem lies in not knowing where the other par is and consequently where the relay found will lead. It's a lot harder to look if you don't know where to look.

Oh my. Smud got to it. Be right back, have to go catch my lungs. Smudboy used to informative in his critiques, but nowanddays he really sounds like this: I'm with you. A lot of that seemed like mindless bitching in order to complain, to such rovice the sustenance/material needed for the bit. Like Garrus and Bungie... they had- well, you know.

I like it.
Different games have different tones.
Instead of upping the epic this time, its trying to up the meaning (as much as a series like ME can in one game).
I think some don't get that Mass Effect doesn't need to be the same Heart of Courage stuff every time. ME2 for example was quite a departure in ways from ME1. ME3 from ME1 and ME2. Change isn't always good, but it isn't always bad, and I don't think its really bad here.
I can understand the complaints about such a radio song though.
Don't care about Smudboy videos.

Smudboy reminds me of a jilted lover who dumped their sig other and then spends the next several years trashing them on social media. To quote the police chief.in.zootopia. let. It. Go.

Not wanting to start a flame war (but maybe its going to happen, who knows)
From what I have seen of smudboy and as far as I can remember, he insulted people that did not think like him about the extended cut, or something else.
And I am certainly not going to watch all of his videos to make sure that was the only time he insulted the people that thinked differently than him.
But either way, when you look at his channel, he seems to have a grudge against bioware to the point that more than half of his videos consists of him shitting on them.
I get some people not liking recent bioware games, its fair to criticize them or their game, but the obsession he seems to have to shit on every trailer, every declaration, tweets or moves from bioware. Its beyond nitpicking, its... I just cannot find the word to describe this unhealty obsession of hatred towards bioware.
I think he could rename his channel, "the bioware hater" and that would be more accurate.

The issue isn't whether we can spot a planet in the Milky Way, they clearly can. It's about knowing what's on the other side of the relay which could realistically send you anywhere within the Galaxy, it can be 300 light years away, it could be 3000. They don't know without actually using the Relay and that's the issue. How are they supposed to find what's on the other side of the relay without knowing where it actually sends you to?

Thing is, no matter what you can see with your long-range sensors, by the time you arrive your information will be SIX. HUNDRED. DAMN. YEARS. out of date.

They don't know without actually using the Relay and that's the issue. How are they supposed to find what's on the other side of the relay without knowing where it actually sends you to? No, actually the discussion is solely in response to finding planets. The relay comment was based on the in-game reference to the rules about opening relays. It doesn't even make sense to take that literally as the comparison aren't even the same. There are no relays in Andromeda. The subject matter is finding planets. Relays aren't the issue.
If we can find a planet in an entirely different galaxy we can spot planets in the Milky Way. That's just a fact. There is no excuse to go to Andromeda in search of new habitable planets "just because" when the Milky Way has not even had 2% explored by the known races.

How do you think they would spot a planet in Andromeda? That's right... the same way they'd spot one in the Milky Way. Difference being the data would be clearer, more up-to-date, etc.
Please read your own words carefully before you post again. Don't embarrass yourself any further.
