Do we know who voices Gil? His voice style reminded me of cole to be honest. Someone from DAI I'm pretty sure...not Cole though, I can't remember who it is and it's starting to get annoying. Anyway I'm still shocked by the quality of Gil and Suvi face, Ok the devs can't use face scan for everyone but talking about DAI your important npcs all looked important. Josephine , Cullen , Mother Giselle , Scout harding , some effort were put into those , they weren't created spending two hours top playing randomly with the CC. He was Imshael, the 'choice' demon

I think that's the game in general. More freedom, much more content but the package isn't as well presented because of it. Some elements look unusually crude for a Mass Effect or even BioWare product. I'd still take this over the non-cinematic crap in ME3 any day. No doubt it will be Mass Effect: The Force Awakens spliced with Star Trek (2009). I'm okay with that as long as the presentation is good. My hope is that the game really captures the brief sense of wonder and mystery (and possibly morbid) story similar to what we experienced with the Protheans on Ilos in Mass Effect 1. To me that was the most memorable moment because it captured that sense of wonder and horror. Horizon Zero Dawn did an incredible job with this. Wonder, Horror, discovery, and Nostalgia and I'll be happy. I may be in the minority, but I really like this new cast of characters possibly more than the OT at this point.

I'm fucking excited about this game but why the hell those facial animations are so bad Because Bioware? They just arent good at this. I dont really understand why after many years and Games that they have not hired a new dedicated Facial Animation Staff.. maybe Loyalty to the Same Animators.. maybe they dont care.. who knows.. It is all perspective.. go Play Deus Ex: Mankind Devided.. after you endured that ME:A' s Animations look top notch^^

I think in ME:A it just jumps out at you much more because you always the the contrast between good to great looking Aliens and comparably not good Humans.

I think we'll have to wait to play the game to make our final opinions. The animations look better than before. I said I thought they look really good, but not great. As I said above, I ended really liking the facial animations most of the time in Horizon Zero Dawn, and I considered them to be cringe worthy when watching previews.

Huh. Few dialogue options by the looks of it. Seemed like there were just as many options as previous games to me. Only if by "previous games" you mean "ME3", which was derided for it's 2-option system after previous games had 3, usually. That's by far the most disappointing aspect of the latest videos for me. To be honest, I'll enjoy the game even if the facial animations are a bit wonky, but lack of roleplaying options is a much more serious issue for me. Hope it's not quite as bad as it looks.

Yeah only in ME3... All 3 games used 2 options for advancing dialogues 99% of the time. If you were seeing more options, they were for info dumping (which is still in MEA).

More than 2 Options you usually only get when meeting the Character or after your relationship entered a new stage.

But you're right waiting for the game to come out is better

It wasn't "99% of the time" in 1 and 2; most conversations had three options, plus the additional investigate "info dumping." ME2 had less for certain companion conversations, but overall, the two option limit was a lot more prevalent in ME3.

I wonder if sister Ryder can have the same hairstyle as Suvi? Are those the only crewmembers, Gil, Lexi, Suvi and Kallo, on the tempest? Probably yes I'd imagine so. Have to admit she's very pretty I like her. I can definitely see one of my Scott's smooching her anyway assuming she's romanceable

I even looked for ME2, the first video I looked at was the end of Jack recruiting missions and there was only 2 dialogues options that advanced the conversation there too. I also replayed both games quite recently and you rarely have 3 options, the "neutral" one is usually a dead end. If there are dialogues where the 3rd (or more) choices isn't an info dump for ME1 and ME2, they don't turn up at the top of Youtube search for "Mass Effect X dialogues".

At least at the start. I recall them saying you might recruit some, but I'm not so sure. Hopefully recruit a cook. One who can make calmari gumbo like the honorable Rupert Gardner. I know my Shepard liked his calamari gumbo. Maybe recruit a walking man/woman. Be like the guy in ME3 who walked around the Normandy. Probably yes I'd imagine so. Have to admit she's very pretty I like her. I can definitely see one of my Scott's smooching her anyway assuming she's romanceable I wasn't planning on romancing anyone, but if I want the platinum trophy for the game, I have to romance someone. It might be her.

Hopefully facial animations stop being a distraction after a couple hours in, because they're fucking terrible. You have to expect some degree of jank from Bioware, but the animations actually look worse than DA:I and ME3.
ME:A looks like it was outsourced to Bethesda.

facial animations are soo bad, i think they are even worse than in ME 1 or DA:I They're definitely worse than ME3. I'm playing through ME3 now, and the quality of the animations is light years ahead of ME:A. There's some jank of course, but it isn't as common or jarring as what we've seen in ME:A's marketing. Bioware needs to step up its animating game for the next DA and ME games. It is subpar for a AAA game in 2017.
