Just wondering. In the 600 years or so after we wake up, will the technology have advanced enough that we won't know what some things are?

Probably not, you wake up with the exact same tech you left the Milky Way with 600 years ago, and the Andromeda galaxy stuff we didn't know about in the first place.
...gotta wonder how your 600 year rifle is even gonna fire after that long with no maintenance, anyway...

Yes. We find the tech of the Heleus natives and that of the Remnants. The Remnants's tech are a new form of Mass Effect, so that'll bring about new features. Without a L'Etoile this time I hope we don't end up with a Science Fantasy.

Why? Everything we took with us is 600 years old tech... including some of the gear that got invented after we left, but that's a continuity error on BW's part.

Everything on the Tempest, Hyperion, and Nexus will still be 22nd century tech. The Heleus stuff will be different and the Remnant stuff will probably be more advanced.

Yeah our tech will be 600 years old when we wake up - well 'Milky Way 600 years old' at least. Need to steal some cool Andromeda tech fast!

It would be possible if we had QECs back to the Milky Way that the AI could use to get information about any technological advancements from the last 600 years.
But as has been discussed in other threads, if the Initiative does have QECs, there will be some plot reason why they don't work anymore to make it easier for the game to break from the trilogy and ignore the endings.

The Milky Way tech would remain the same. However, there could be somewhat of a leap with Andromedian technology like Remnant tech and the heat-seeking plasma rounds of the Angara.

-- ...gotta wonder how your 600 year rifle is even gonna fire after that long with no maintenance, anyway... I imagine just fine considering it's in a sterile environment floating through deep space. Not exactly a lot of normal planet elements to cause deterioration. I mean, metals and sythedic materials generally don't just fall apart or weaken due to time. It's the environment that erodes it 'over' that time that causes the issues. So you know, little clean check and I'm sure it's all basically brand new.

I'm obviously no expert on the subject, but cryogenically freezing living humans is still a fairly sci-fi concept so I imagine there was some breakthrough in the MEverse for that, like most other sci-fi settings.

Biggest issue in RL with Cryofreezing is we can't do it 'fast enough'. It ultimately creates crystals that basically tear up all your internal bits. I'm sure lore reasons for it working in Mass Effect involves mass effect somehow. Aaanyway muscle atrophy is from the lack of use where the body is constantly replacing cells. It's replacing them with weaker ones since it's not being used. Reverse of that's how working out ehh, works. I think Atrophy can cause permanent damage that can't be fixed just by working out though. Anyway if your frozen nothing is capable of changing. So if you could potentially freeze someone, then unfreeze 'and' keep them alive in the process then your muscles cells couldn't of replaced them selves to weaker version. I'm pretty sure you'd be stiff as fuck for awhile though as you get re-used to not being an ice sickle. As an aside, ME universe keeps that from happening in space via artificial gravity by making the floors in a ship so artificially dense they emulate earth (or similar) gravity.

We can't have advanced technologically while we're all sleeping ...
As for Milky Way vs Heleus technology we don't actually know how advanced the Heleus races are. All we know is that they use plasma in their weapons which doesn't inherently make it better than our own weaponry. Its entirely possible we'll be more advanced than them in some ways and they'll be more advanced in other ways..who knows?

Javik.. wakes up reacting to the stimulus he had received right when he was 'hit' with the stasis 'beam'. Basically, perfect stasis space magic.

If the ships can survive 6 centuries without no one doing maintenance why the same shouldn't apply to the rest of the tech we bring? ps: Your question makes no sense OP.
