Biower Pls, MEA:MP only for half price

No amount of ranting here will do anything, other than stir the local pot. This is a Bioware Fan Forum, not official, and thankfully moderated fairly with no company-man action.

Enough people agree with me in premise, if not in approach. That's nothing new. Every opinion is valid, and should the SP game be outstandingly good I will buy this thread some cupcakes.

Yeah, I don't see that happening, anymore than they'd release a single-player only copy.

I don't see how you consider yourself a bioware "fan", if you can't even support the dev's vision of the game. But you can go ahead miss the game while you see youtube videos of reviewers expressing why they're having a blast. I doubt anyone would shed a tear.

Splitting the game itself probably wouldn't be too much of a technical challenge.  The problem I think technically is bug support, for you would have to double up everything when trying to squash bugs in the game to make sure that even if it is a single player patch it might not have some weird unforeseen issue inside of multiplayer.

I played the SP campaign of ME3 only once. Once was enough. I cannot find a single reason in hell to ever play it again. I wouldn't subject myself to that kind of pain another time, knowing how it ends. The very thought, though it has occurred multiple times as I greatly cherished my other two main playthroughs of the series before that point, is so depressing that I can't stomach it. I did end up playing the MP a lot. So yeah, that part I get.

But Andromeda is a fresh start. It doesn't have the same people in charge, or I wouldn't have bought it if Ken Bek showed up at my doorstep naked to beg me to. I refuse to judge it by trailers, as trailers made ME3 look like the perfect SP game. So did the reviews. I will only judge its worth when it is in my hot little hands. I trust myself, my own judgment, and empirical evidence, not a bunch of laughably biased speculation on the internet which is no better than anything that led me to believe ME3 wouldn't depress the living shit out of me--for all the wrong immersion-destroying reasons.

If it's anywhere near as soul-crushing as ME3, which basically isn't even possible, then I likely just won't buy another ME game ever. Otherwise, I'm good to just see what I think. I don't believe Mac Walters or Drew Karpyshyn were the bad guys--I think they were the talents. I'm ready to find out if I was right. Watching the AI briefings, reading the note from Alec Ryder... it all brings back those good ME1 vibes that I loved so much. It feels a little like the suicide mission too, which was the best part of ME2. It feels like the real Mass Effect to me.

So, QGG, go ahead and relax for a couple of weeks. The supernerds who have already bought the game will be around to tell you how it all feels in practice and whether the SP makes the full game worth dropping 60-70. But this toxic ranting about a game you've not played is pointless.

Wow......I take it back you aren't trolling. Your life must be really sad for you to get this butthurt over a game. Perhaps if your thread had actual constructive criticism in it people would have taken you seriously. Now just go play Overwatch or something and chill. 

It'd prolly be quite challenging for them to separate SP and MP in this title, OP. They've been crowing about seamless transitions between the modes, after all.

If DAI is any indication, they might eventually make MP available for free.
