I sure hope not. Such a lame exploit. K, then. If you say so. Weirdly upset response.

I thought the revive pack was a way for you to get yourself up if no one's coming? Sort of a one time only thing. Could've sworn I read that somewhere a couple of days ago but i'm buggered if I can remember where.

Not an exploit if it's deliberately included. Deliberating included would be something like gears of war. It was an animation cancelling glitch, which many games have, and is hardly something you can consider deliberate. Some ME2 dev made a post on the old BSN talking about how she included reload-canceling as a feature in ME2 and how she liked to use it on her Claymore vanguard. Yet there will always be morons claiming that it's a glitch or an exploit. Never gets old.

Talk to Christina Norman who was the Mass Effect 2 combat designer. You can probabaly contact her here via Twitter. Down below are some of the things she said about reload cancelling in ME2:

The only time animation cancelling was a glitch was in the original Street Fighter 2: World Warrior.
That glitch was so cool it became a standard feature in every Capcom game ever made from then to eternity. Nowadays you can find it everywhere, in all sorts of games of all sorts of genres. Have you ever gone from swinging Geralt's sword in Witcher to immediately casting Igni? Guess what, you animation cancelled. Did you ever parry an incoming attack while you were attempting to execute a downed Orc in Shadow of Mordor? You animation cancelled. Have you ever reloaded a weapon in Mass Effect, then taken hard cover/used a power/sprinted/activated a device/used a consumable item? These are all animation cancels, and are so commonplace that to call them an exploit is quite frankly nonsense.

These are all animation cancels, and are so commonplace that to call them an exploit is quite frankly nonsense. Quite frankly, every single one of those is still an exploit of game mechanics, regardless of how convenient it is, simply because people prefer their games to be responsive, and want actions performed the instant they hit the button, even if they are in the middle of another action. Just because it is common doesn't actually give you an argument against it being an exploit.

Don't believe me? Talk to Christina Norman who was the Mass Effect 2 combat designer. You can probabaly contact her here via Twitter. Down below are some of the things she said about reload cancelling in ME2: It's a common thing in the majority of games simply out of player desire for responsiveness, she just fabricated a story around hers as if she went out of her way to make animations not need to finish, even though that would have actually required additional effort instead of instant casting the button action that was pressed. Then she pretended to make up a name even though reload cancelling has been a term since before mass effect 2, and has been in countless games prior to it. In reality it's just animation cancelling as it works with more than reloading specifically, and is a "feature" in plenty of genres, not just shooters, hence why she's full of crap. Just because it's commonplace doesn't make it not an exploit, and not lame.

You know, I've always said I would never /ignore anyone, becuase then I don't get to see how stupid they can be, but this is such an old, tired topic, and it's not even funny. It is literally a waste of my time to read this garbage.
So take heart, that's something of a Gold Medal.

You never really bothered with Op packs? Fuckin hell its all I use. I burn through 6 every game. I suck em down like coca-cola. What a scrub. Let me tell you how I used to use them. When I started out I didn't know what they are for. When I looked it up what they did they were amounting to about 120 pieces. That's how pros play - they don't need them. However, once I knew I burned through them in no time

You actually need to have reasons behind it or there isn't even an argument to begin with to counter, it's just you being butthurt and randomly insulting people.

People have already presented you dozens of reasons, quotes, and examples in this thread. Which I actually responded to logically, and everybody immediately resorted to insults. Nobody here actually responded to my legitimate response. It's well known how obnoxious this community is, I expect nothing less. I wouldn't be here if I expected logical, well thought out, conversation.

I wouldn't be here if I expected logical, well thought out, conversation. If you go back and read over your own posts you should be able to detect a large dose of obnoxiousness in them as well. They provided you with quotes from the lead designer saying it was intentional, how did you logically counter those? Where are your quotes or evidence to disprove them? I don't think you have made a single logical point in this thread.
