Topic like this wouldn't last more than a day on the old board. But since this place has always been more about the community than about the game or its developer, it would be nice to have an open thread to share thoughts, experiences, questions, desires, etc related to other games. Or just state what else you've been playing recently.
I realize there's an off-topic lobby. This board is less of a free-for-all though.
As for me, my little guy & I have been blasting our way across Pandora on a regular basis. We tried out Borderlands 1 on Ecks Bawks for the crap of it, and we've been fairly immersed. Got my kids an XBone in June, and it's been a steady diet of Handsome Collection ever since. Even picked up a cheap version of BL2 GOTY from G2A for the PC. Can proudly state my level 46 Axton just made it through the level 50 enemies in the bar brawl side quest of the Mr Torgue Bad-Assitude DLC.
Question for PS4 crowd: anybody try out No Man's Sky yet? Looks quite intriguing (but not for PC players which has been an atrocious launch).

Hey the Dlx version was dirt cheap for the Xbone, so I picked it up. Haven't virtually cracked it open yet though.
Cruising home so I'll read this later...but what's the game flow even like? Is it co-op or more pvp? Or more like SW Battlefront? Looks cool. That's for damn sure.

Its a fast paced PVP shooter, its great with wall running and double jumps. It can get a bit repetitive and I think that was one of the main reason it didn't last that long.

Haven't played BL2 in a long time. I'd like to get back into it. As for current games other than ME3mp, Skyrim is the only thing I've played recently. I want to hook up my SNES and play some frickin super metroid. That game still slays.

FFXIV has been consuming all of my spare time recently, and before that it was Warframe and Dark Souls 3. I also wish Capcom would develop a sequel for Dragon's Dogma already

Star Wars: The Old Republic is where I am still raiding 2-3 evenings of the week, still fun after all this time. Otherwise I am currently in the process of playing through the Witcher Trilogy, Witcher 2 at the moment. If I am feeling nostalgic, I'm continuing my latest savegame in Alien Legacy - if anyone still remembers that awesome game from 1994

I've got a level 72 Axton built up on XBOX that I pretty much just use for 'helping' out on lower level missions.

The only game I've completed since I started playing me3mp is FFXIII: Lightning Returns.
If you're into FF games and you played the first 2, do it. It's not a long game and it was fun, I'd give it 7/10.

I have been playing games from my youngster times mainly, such as "Medieval Total War 2: The Third Age - Divide and Conquer (submod)", also I got "Life is strange" thingy two weeks ago. I rationalize it as if it were because of some good music, but the truth is I'm a damn hipster who had to buy The Hipster Bible Also "Warband: Mount and Blade" never gets old to me; chess online occasionally. What's strange (except life ), my ME3 got some fps drops after origin update, so that's why I keep on seeking for cheap substitues instead.

I've put over twice as many hours into Warframe as I did into ME3MP over 3000 hours vs 1500 and Star Trek Online is gathering plenty at the moment.
Neither game grabbed me at first. Warframe I left for six months and went back to ME3 but that was a long time ago and much had been improved in the meantime and a couple of years more development time since then.
STO a friend dragged me in and pestered me to stick at until tings clicked, though ground combat still sucks imho.

The Division, 911 h and still counting. Game is broken and unbalanced as hell, but real fun if you play and chat with friends and don't care for loot (which i do).

XCOM 2 on my PC. I have a six month long (text) Let's Play of it going. On the final mission and kind of getting my ass kicked, which is embarrassing considering I've beaten the game about ten other times.
Fitfully playing Doom on the 'Bone. It's a great game, but my twitch reflexes have *really* atrophied so I die too much to get a good flow going. Also I keep seeing these secret areas but I can't figure out how to get to them, and I am too impatient to figure it out, and also too lazy to look up how-to videos on the YouTubes.

It suffers from the same issue that afflicts most procedural generation elements in games - there are a truly huge number of planets to explore but they quickly become really samey, with identical buildings and alien structures present, the flora at most changing colour and the fauna lacking diversity too. It doesn't help that the core mechanic (mine for resources; craft fuel and supplies; jump to next system; repeat) just feels like busywork, with most of your time early on spent managing your vanishingly small inventory space. I definitely don't recommend buying it, certainly not before it's expanded further and comes down in price. However, you should watch some Let's Play videos of the game, if you're not bored by the general gameplay then you'll like NMS more than I do.

I have to finish playing (and streaming) DOOM, I also have to play Arkham City. Right now I started a new character on BL2 and it's refreshing starting from scratch and I can't wait to get to level 30 to enjoy Tina's DLC again!
Other than that, I'm not really playing much and I'll definitely be more busy with work after this week.

Just too much volume for devs to support enough creative variety.
