Back on ME1 and I'm having a blast because it's been so long (i.e. years) since I last played pt.1 of the trilogy that it seems like a new experience. Finding the original, moody Wrex is great and meeting familiar and favourite characters in their younger days is enjoyable. Okay, it's a bit of a downer recalling that Kaidan Alenko's going to bite the proverbial bullet; but that's life -- or, I suppose, death -- for you.
Gonna play me some more ME1 now. See ya!

Okay, it's a bit of a downer recalling that Kaidan Alenko's going to bite the proverbial bullet; but that's life -- or, I suppose, death -- for you. Gonna play me some more ME1 now. See ya! It's not too late to change your mind! In 11 PTs my record currently stands 9/2 in favour of saving Kaiden, and one of the times I saved Ash it was because I was looking forward to shooting her dead myself. I don't even like Kaidan. I mean, who does? But he's still better than Ash - my least favourite ME character ever, until Cora came along and showed me the true meaning of hatred. I played the SP campaign of Split/Second after it came with Xbox Games with Gold. I'd already played it on PS3 and it is a lot of mindless fun. I'm genuinely excited by the news that a game called "TT - Ride on the Edge" is being released next week. There hasn't been an Isle of Man motorcycle racing game since the PS2, and I have some hopes that this one will make a decent fist of capturing the excitement of the race, even if it can never address the danger that comes from racing on public roads through towns and villages at an average speed of 131mph over 37.73 miles. Depending on your perspective, the men (and handful of women) who have competed in the TT over 110 years are either the bravest or stupidest humans on the planet - these are the riders people like Valentino Rossi and Johnny Rea regard as true living legends, and as a biker myself I'm very much in the former camp, following the 'just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive' philosophy that a little bit of danger is good for the soul. I've ridden the TT course myself at legal speeds, and can't wait to open my virtual throttle to the max next week.

I agree with GruntKitterhand : let Ashley die. Ashley and Kaidan both kinda suck but Kaidan seems much more like an okay guy while Ashley is just a racist bitch. Would have loved to see an option to not rescue her during the first mission and just leave without her. And by now you know what's coming so there is no excuse like "but if she dies who am I gonna romance" when you know there are better options available within the next 2 games. So let that bitch die and roll with Kaidan. He might even help Garrus with a few calibrations or something... In other news, coming back to an earlier topic... Horizon Zero Dawn would probably look absolutely fantastic on PC in ultrawide:

She doesn't have to be an ass kisser. Also I perfectly understand her pov, especially after what she told about her grandfather. Also thanks to my Shepard I could show her that you don't have to like other races in order to respect them. Meanwhile Kaidan was somwhere on the Normandy, hidden in corner, being a "nice" guy. He was so dull that I could completely forget about him until the mission on Virmire. So yeah, 10 to 2 in Ash favor, that's how I roll. However in ME 3 I think Biover killed Ash character development. I don't care about her new look tbh. She didn't have enough content after rejoining Shep. She had 1 "supposed to be funny" drunk scene and that's it. So yeah, even if Kaidan was still the same dull and nice guy, I'd consider him a better developed character than Ash. Which is sad. Alenko's goodbye song on Virmire. Perfectly fits his character. On topic though: Recently I enjoyed a couple of Telltale games. Yes, yes, I consider them games, and pretty enjoyable on top of that. Especially The Wolf Among Us. Also I have a sudden urge to replay GTA San Andreas.

Picked up Rise Of The Tomb Raider again and finished the Baba Yaga DLC yesterday and the Blood Ties story today. Going to play the Cold Darkness DLC next and maybe check out Lara's Nightmare and Endurance Mode. Probably not gonna bother getting 100% on every map in the main game (that I have finished quite a long time ago). Getting back to some games I have finished but which still have unplayed DLCs waiting for me.

I've been addicted to Monster Hunter World since it came out at the end of January. While it's not without its problems, and there are some things that I preferred about older games in the series, it sure is nice to actually play a finished game. If you're into PvE games, and don't mind a somewhat tough learning curve, I highly recommend checking it out. Sadly it won't be out on PC until later this year (Capcom said they were aiming for a fall release), but there will be free content updates throughout the year, so by the time it does hit PC, it'll have even more content than it already does.

I am now the proud owner of 3 PS4 exclusive games - but without the console itself or the time to actually play these games. But I could not let Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition be on sale and not get it

I recently made the mistake of reinstalling Warframe, after burning out on it quite a while ago. There is plenty to dislike (the farm, the RNGrind, how broken the game is, the "game-as-a-service" business model that lets the devs get away with never actually properly finishing anything, ...); but by the stars, the movement is so fluid, most frames and many guns are interesting, and - most importantly - the aesthetics are just from the tilesets, to the frames themselves, this game just looks good. And the wealth of new content is quite overwhelming too! I can see myself sticking with it for a while. In other words... send heeeeeeelp! ... or get in touch, so we can join up to murder bad guys while escaping the pugs lottery! (no escaping the grind, though)

I started six months ago and now somehow I'm MR23 with around 1200 hours in already. I only just the other day managed to squeeze in a couple ME3MP games, my first since starting Warframe.

Ahhh...recently started playing Resident Evil Re-Make again...it's probably my favorite resident evil game outside of resident evil 2.....( i wanted badly to like RE7, but i just don't like the first-person view... )...but eh...Re-Make is always a pleasant experience and the visuals hold up very well even by today's standards....the static backgrounds and lighting always look impressive. Side note - i finally broke down and ordered "Leviathan and Citadel" from the store...(i hate downloading games.. .).....yeah i know ME related, but i can't wait to start a new game from ME2 and try to keep everybody alive so i can transport them to ME3 for the full experience.....

I got into Battlefield Bad Company 2 recently. Has a more compelling story line than I anticipated (which was not much).
Made the mistake of loading up my queue during the Ecks Bawks spring sale event. Some tough choices ahead now: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Skyrim SE, Witcher 3 top the list. Also grabbed Far Cry 4 and the Bioshock series.

Also Dragon Age Origins. The first DA is still the best without question.

Also grabbed Far Cry 4 and the Bioshock series. I just finished playing FC4 the other day - I've had it for a couple of years but am not a huge fan of first person perspective games, but the trailers for FC5 have been making me ponder how much I'm willing to pay for it. Quite a lot, probably. FC4 is a pretty enjoyable romp - I didn't try any co-op missions but I imagine they would increase the fun levels significantly. It gets a bit repetitive and runs out of steam a bit, but some of the weapons are great. There's a single shot shotgun which they class as a sidearm which is like a mini Claymore, and will kill everything in one shot as long as it's close enough. And once you unlock one of the silenced Sniper Rifles it's pretty much Game Over for the bad guys. I know I'm not the only confirmed stoner on the forum, and there are side missions involving a pair of English cosmic voyagers called Reggie and Yogi which are, without doubt, the most perfectly structured weed-friendly scenes I've ever played - " Missing things are missing. Find them." Zen Stoner Nirvana awaits those who seek it. Most of the music for their scenes is by a guy called Steve Byrd, who I was saddened to discover died last year. This is my favourite - I was so far gone I was looking up the price of left-handed Sitars after playing. (600 bucks!) Part of me feels I'm ultimately destined to become nothing more than the punchline of a Bill Hicks joke. How many strings does this thing have anyway?!? And you know what? I'm OK with that.

So far, on the goof front, FC4>FC5 (apart from the testy festy side mission, but its so short). I played coop in FC4 and we just messed about, flipping the bird at each other while driving, throwing rocks at each other, shooting arrows, and blowing ourselves up with C4. I can't recall doing any missions or anything! Yes those stoner missions were fun, so far I've not had much in that vein in FC5, but I'm not in the 'spaced out region' yet. I have yet to try coop in FC5, its so easy you don't need anyone to help tbh. Would be quite fun if you can both have a plane and do dogfights PS+ has Mad Max free this month, so along with Bloodborne last month that's a couple of decent games to be getting on with I'm definitely looking forward to more explosions in Mad Max, especially as I generally can't drive for toffee in games.

I last did a rogue archer playthrough of DAO/DAA & DA2, and I really liked it. Playing as a brutal arrow slinger with a tank and 2 mages might actually be my favorite companion crew.

Lockpick everything with your main character helps a great deal. Double swords with backstabbing is more fun that shield warrior.
