New Vegas is on Game Pass on the Xbox so I loaded it up earlier, may well give it a go. Did you ever play it before? If not, just a word of warning that it starts out pretty slow and I almost stopped playing it on my first playthrough [sooo glad I didn't], but I also had no idea it was an rpg either before buying it so take that as you will. Anyway, if it didn't come with the DLC I'd recommend them they're all good to fantastic and the Gun Runners pack has some really nice weapons in it.

My Fallout experience is a little limited - I have the GotY version of FO3 but got bored after 5 or 6 hours when I got trapped somewhere with a bunch of rats I couldn't kill. I keep meaning to go back to it and just start over. I was put off NV by all the talk of it being buggier than a wet night on Ghost versus Collectors on lolPS3, although I think that's all fixed now. Regarding FO4, it's kinda like one of those love/hate semi-abusive relationship addictions. The early bugs, the interminable loading screens, the sub-par graphics, the creaking engine, the bloody awful writing for the central plot, especially regarding the Institute - I hate all those things. And yet I really enjoy the world itself, and the vast majority of companions and characters, and all the customisation of guns and armour and all that goes with it. And the settlement building, clunky though it can be. The DLC was all excellent too. And it's got Wonder Woman singing sultry, sexy lounge bar songs! The NV DLC is pretty cheap, so I'll probably add it before I get going. Thanks for the tips, much appreciated.

I played some DOOM ETERNAL and while it is indeed a good game I had more fun watching DraQu do some Ultra Nightmare playthroughs/speedruns than playing myself a lot. Anthem really has totally spoiled me, it's shocking. Everything I touch I'm like "meh... too slow, no flying, no big booms etc.". Yes... DOOM ETERNAL felt too slow at times, can you imagine? Still a good game though, I will probably pick it up again for another playthrough when all DLCs are released.

Act I serves as a basic setup and introduction to most mechanics, the story begins to develop for real only in Act II. As for fighting, I assume the fight was against barghests so play the group style and dodge the hell out of them until you get some vitality bonuses.

Fed-up with FF7 spin-off (sorry, its a spin-off not a remake), started Assassins Creed Odyssey and it didn't exactly grab me- going to dive back into Civ 6 for at least a game or 2. Probably will get back to AC Odyssey eventually, but I think I may be done with FF7, though it probably will inspire me to try to find my discs for OG FF7 for PC, and fire that up again for the first time in years and years.

Couldn't finish this crap, because i was afraid of dying from boredom. It's just my 2 cents tho.

I only played the opening couple of quests, which are almost always super boring because they usually function as a tutorial. And it didn't grab my attention. The only reason I got it was because it was on sale for super cheap, I've never been a big fan of Assassins Creed games. But I do like the historical setting, I'm sort of a nerd about ancient Greek philosophy/history, so I'm sure I'll give it another shot at some point.

Im almost hooked now, though the amount of things to get used too ... And no, wasnt yet barghests. Fights in the firs castle were really stupid easy. But with the city outskirts, i sometimes get almost dropped in .5 sec , i pulled a magical comeback against a salamandra team, they died all in one combo and i was sure i was the one dead Gameworld seems really cool, but some content is rushed too much, and those glossary entries to get to have access to assignments ...

So I fired up a new Civ 6 game, figured I'd try something new and different: being nice to my neighbors... and it was going well; I sent delegations and favorable trades to my first two Civs, and had green happy-face relationships with both.. then both declared a Surprise War on me within maybe 30 or 40 turns of one another. So much for playing nice

Deep Rock Galactic is quite fun, playing one of the space dwarfs that has a mini-gun, dropping in a drop pod to mine on hostile world with many bugs to shoot at is comfy as heck.

Just finished watching Witcher on Netflix. I will probably start a game of Witcher III since it has been sitting in my Steam library untouched (yeah, I buy games more often than play them ). One of the best fantasy series, never would have dreamt Henry Cavill (aka Superman) could play such a convincing Geralt.

I have a problem with this too, I buy games "for later"... and then never get around to them, because I find something else in the meantime, or decide to jump back into ME3mp, or RDR2, or Xcom, or Civ, or whatever else instead. Currently have Outer Worlds, AC Odyssey, and Xcom 2 War of the Chosen in my queue more or less untouched, but between Civ 6, ME3mp, and NBA 2k I have no idea when I'll get around to any of them.

I used to make the same mistake that I bought pretty much everything that was on sale, so I hardly ever managed to play it. I have now got used to the fact that I have now only decided on a certain selection of games and will play them. There are simply too many games for you to just play any of them

I have XCOM 2 WoTC untouched as well. In fact, I ended up with an extra copy of XCOM2 and WoTC before playing WoTC and gave them away. Just bought Control in the Epic sale and it's looking promising.
Played a bit of Outer Worlds before losing interest. AC Odyssey looks interesting but supposed to be a bit grindy so didn't want to start that. Civ 6 is now free on Epic for those interested.

I hated that. You're going to be with Triss in W2 no matter what so don't fear hooking up with Shani if you want. Otherwise, if you choose Triss, you'll have a second chance for a night with Shani in W3.

I'm assuming you'll be giving that a go on your PS4, in which case be prepared for the fact that it's buggier than a wet night on Ghost against Collectors on PS3. Seriously. It's even worse, crashing regularly, especially when late into missions featuring 'the lost'. Make sure you have the autosave feature turned on at least. That said, it's really, really good. I played the vanilla game first (thanks largely to a great review by HamleticTortoise) and thoroughly enjoyed it, to the extent that I bought the dlc. Despite the crashes, I've played the WotC version 3 times, as it transforms the game, introducing several great innovations. It's highly addictive. I finished it on the second hardest difficulty setting without losing a soldier, leaving only the hardest setting for me to complete. As for the Assassin's Creed franchise, like most people who have played it, I regard ACII as a genuine classic - easily in my top 10 games. Because of that, I've bought every single AC game since (or received 'free' versions via Gold). I've only paid money when they've been on sale with significant reductions, but I haven't finished any of them. To be completely honest, with the exception of Black Flag, I've only managed to make it a couple of hours into any of them, always assuming I'll come back to them later but never doing so. I think it's some kind of illness - not the 2 hour thing, but buying the feckin things in the first place!

Yep, got it for PS4, haven't played it yet but I had heard that it was buggy as hell but I was hoping that they had subsequently fixed most of it via patches... disappointing to hear that that is not the case, but I'll be sure to use autosave when I do fire it up. I'm a big fan of Xcom and Xcom 2, so I imagine I'll enjoy it... provided the bugs aren't prohibitive. And I really like the historical setting in AC Odyssey, and from the hour or so that I played I liked the environment and atmosphere as well. That alone will probably be enough to bring me back to it eventually. Also liked the combat, from the brief taste you get in the tutorial. But yeah, I definitely have a problem, and should probably make a better effort to actually play the games I already have before buying a bunch of new ones.

I'm not sure that you are forced into either one romance or the other, its been a year or two since my last TW3 playthrough but I'm pretty sure you can pick the dialogue option to break it off with Triss (or, rather, not pick the dialogue option to profess your love and continue the romance), and then also tell Yennifer that you don't like her anymore after you defeat the genie that put the two of them under the spell. Maybe I'm misremembering, but I could have sworn that was a possible path.
