I couldn't resist getting RETURNAL to see how well (or not) it would run on my current setup. Pretty good actually. Not as good as on my friend's computer who can basically just max every setting but it looks good and for now I'm okay with just stable 60fps. I haven't played that much yet but I enjoyed what little I played. Gameplay has some ME:A vibes, but better...

I started playing PTN (Path To Nowhere) a couple days ago. It's a tower defence game similar to Arknights and I'm enjoying it so far. What got me into it was because I watched this one streamer play Arknights, and it looked fun figured I would play that game, but saw PTN and thought that looked cool plus I like its dark aesthetic look it had going on.
Normally I don't play these kinds of games, but it's really satisfying when you finally figure out a level. I've only played for a couple days but it's slowly getting to the point where I'm restarting a couple times, but I'm okay with that since this game is challenging enough for me to keep going instead of making me feel like uninstalling the game.

They had already great game ,so what could possibly go wrong?Calosto Protocol wasn't that bad actually, but nothing like Dead Space. Well... it's EA - so basically everything could go wrong. That's what I was afraid of. Glad it didn't I agree, I wouldn't call Callisto a bad game - it just delivered far below my expectations unfortunately. And seeing how much money they apparently spent on this game I'm wondering what they were doing. Given how much of THE MESSAGE was injected into Dead Space Remake, I'm surprised the core game turned out so decent. Still not going to play it - THE MESSAGE will lead to Holodomors if unchecked - but it's quite cunning. Especially given how Andromeda turned out surrounded by the same nonsense. Personally, I'm a fan of Akira Toryama's opinion on the matter, which boils down to "I don't care if Mr. Popo resembles something you cheeseburger lovers aren't proud of. I'm Japanese, it means something very different in my culture. If I knew back then, there would be three of him."
Speaking of Dragon Ball: the most recent game I own is The Breakers. Sadly, even it isn't immune to the Type A/Type B plague. Also play Sea of Thieves, but haven't in a while. Just haven't felt like it, I suppose. On the more retro side, I've been playing the old PS1/2 SmackDown games up to Vs RAW 2006. Always been a mark for those: might try the AKI games at some point.

Seeing as how I my Xbox won't sign into this game and only this game, I've played a lot of older games I had queued up on my Xbone. Halo: MCC for some nostalgia, Gat Out of Hell, Army of Two, and Civ Rev (probably the most fun) to name a few. Will probably rebuy Sleeping Dogs because I remember that being fantastic back when I played it years and years ago.

I stopped playing alltogether now temporarily since I need to focus on other things first in the coming months. But I managed to put in ~110h of RETURNAL and get all the achievements. I will play the game again some other time. The endless Tower is a lot of fun and you can just do a run and be done afterwards, so I might even fit that in every now and then. In my opinion this really is one of the best games I have played in recent years. I can recommend it to anyone who likes great TPS gameplay with space vibes and some git gud requirements.

Interesting, it's been on my list of games to play for a long while, I will need to bump it up the list, it's right along RE4 and Deadspace remakes, too many games not enough time! I just finished the main story of Ghost of Tsushima on PS5. I'm personally pretty tired of open worlds due to the way my brain works, my playstyle quickly devolves into the fastest route to 100%, however I actually enjoyed the main story and team mate side quests, certain parts of the game looked like Japanese art rendered in real time. Started on Hard and the early game difficulty curve was good but by midgame I felt like batman, the Mongol hordes just didn't stand a chance.

Interesting, it's been on my list of games to play for a long while, I will need to bump it up the list, it's right along RE4 and Deadspace remakes, too many games not enough time! It all comes down to personal preference but out of these 3 titles I'd go with RETURNAL first every time, especially since the other games are remakes - even if they are good ones. Of course it really depends... if you like the game and if it clicks for you so to say. By that I mean several aspects of the game. For someone who get frustrated easily, doesn't like the roguelike nature and how the progressions work and/or simply can't get the hang of the gameplay, the game most certainly won't be as much fun as it was/is for me. Gameplay is excellent and fluid but it's also fast and does require you to be on your toes. You get rewarded for playing risky and aggressive but at the same time it's more dangerous to play this way of course and requires more skill overall. There are a lot of details and little systems at work how you can make things work in your favor and once you know about them, adjust your approach plus get more (permanent) items that stay after death and better weapons and artifacts, the more you'll most likely aim to beat fights flawlessly or with minimal damage while having fun doing it and feeling good about it at the same time. Either you like the gameplay and all the mechanics or you don't. If you do, this game is a blast to play. It blends several genres well together in a beautiful but also strange and menacing environment. The atmosphere, the music and audiodesign, the minimal and mysterious but ultimately deep story and all these things are also very well done in my opinion.

For someone who get frustrated easily, doesn't like the roguelike nature and how the progressions work and/or simply can't get the hang of the gameplay I've played more Binding of Isaac (punishing roguelike), Dark Souls (obtuse lore) and ME than I could possibly track, this sounds like it has elements of all three. Next in the queue is RE Village simply because it's on loan and I need to get it back, you've cemented Returnal as next up after that.

Played through Resident Evil 4 Remake last week.
It was a very respectful remake. Kept most things the same, changed a couple rooms here and there, trimmed some fat but all in all "Respectful" is the best word to describe it in my opinion. Especially after RE2 only getting half a remake (B Scenarios were a joke) and RE3 being completely bastardised.

Having only ever played Skyrim in vanilla, I decided to take a plunge down the modding rabbit hole and by the Goddess that hole goes deep. The NSFW section on Nexus have thousands of mods alone . Playing it back in the day on my ol' Xbox360 I would have given it a 10/10 if it wasn't such a buggy mess. Thanks to this massive modding community, most of these bugs have been cleaned up and the graphics have been given an extensive overhaul in just about every aspect of the game. No wonder Todd Howard is hesitant to release The Elder Scrolls 6. No way it can surpass the present day version of Skyrim. While I've never been part of any Skyrim community (like here on uBSN), I still sense a schism in the fanbase: Those who want all the content to be immersive and lore friendly and those who are perfectly fine with running around in bikini's and high heels in the middle of winter. If you can't tell from the pics below, I fall firmly in the last category

I've seen a lot of love for this one in this thread, so a heads up: Free at Epic Games store till June 1: Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate EditionNot easy for me to see what s new in that edition, but thx, great stuff ! -----------------------------------------------
Added stuff if i understand correctly :
"• Beyond the Wasteland: The world of New Vegas is more expansive than ever. Each new distinct area presents a fresh set of branching-quests, remarkable personalities and more chances to play the Savior or the Pariah to the natives of New Vegas. • Shiny New Toys: Each add-on pack increases the mountain of armaments already at your disposal. Whether you’re an in-your-face brawler or a long-range gunner, weapons such as the Two-Step Goodbye (unique ballistic fists) or Sleepytime (a handy 10mm Sub-Machinegun) will give that warmonger in you a chance to flex your ammo-filled muscles. • Room to Grow: With each of the four main add-on packs, the maximum levelcap is increased by 5 levels, ultimately raising the ceiling to Level 50. • Dead Money: Lured into a trap masquerading as the Sierra Madre Casino, you are thrown into a high stakes game where you’ll have to work with three other lost souls if you want to survive. • Honest Hearts: An expedition into Utah’s Zion National Park goes horribly wrong and you become embroiled in a war between tribes and put into a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burning Man. • Old World Blues: Transported to the Big MT research crater, you are enlisted by the Think Tank to save them from their own science experiments that have gone horribly out of control. • Lonesome Road: Ulysses, the original Courier Six, contacts you and promises to answer why he refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas, but only if you make one last journey into the treacherous canyons of the Divide.
---------------------------------------------
Beyond the wasteland might be the thing i dont know with the new guns probably. Good occasion for those who havent played the DLC to play them !

Even though I hardly have any time to play at all I went ahead and did something I usually never do: I pre-ordered a game I just couldn't resist getting the "REMNANT 2" Ultimate Edition and I really hope the (pre)launch won't be plagued by performance issues and nasty bugs. I'm looking forward to be playing this game over the weekend prior to launch in coop with 2 friends that I have been playing the previous game with a lot (vanilla as well as Hell mod). I don't like these "play a few days earlier if you buy XY Edition" practices or getting stuff right from the start which will be obtainable thoughout the course of the game otherwise. But since I'm planning on getting all the DLC anyways I pulled the trigger on the Ultimate Edition. I'll just leave this here in the meantime

FInally started playing Elden Ring. Held off for over a year because I wanted to play it on most up to date hardware (wasn't up for playing a PS5 gen game on PS4) and let me tell you.... my mastery of DS/BB hasn't helped much. Some areas feel like NG+ and the game teaches you new features to the soulsborne games only to make them useless on most bosses.

I wonder should I get some practise in with Starship Troopers:Extermination? A friend of mine played it for a while with another coop buddy. According to them it was quite fun when the team works together. They are now back to playing Remnant though. Not because ST:E was bad but rather because there were some new additions to Hell Mod in Remnant and also to somewhat get ready for the R2 release. Not sure how good ST:E is with randoms but with a few people you can coordinate with it seems fun.

Game is confusing as hell at first and there's no obvious "you're under leveled go away and come back" til you get your shit kicked in by a few random mobs. Then again it is a Fromsoft game and that can even happen at high levels. The thing that took me forever to learn as far as bosses go was waiting for the delayed attacks and rolling into or to the side of attacks. Back rolls tend to get punished by bosses. I'd say going from DS3 to ER the vast majority of boss fights are like Nameless, Friede, and Gael with dragon fights being akin to Midir. Jump attacks are dope and I used them a ton, they do great poise damage.

Guys, pls. Elden Ring is by far the easiest From Software game. You have tons of option to get overleveled. So,so many. Not to mention the summons. Most of the bosses look alike just because all of them have delayed attacks. Nothing enjoyable as Midir ,Fride,Gael,Orphan of Kos,Manus,Astorias etc, etc.Maybe Radagon and Maliketh and Malenia, but never enjoyed fighting her.All others feel just the same.

Jump attacks are dope and I used them a ton, they do great poise damage. Yo, thanks for the notifications xD Yeah first run through, though got a side character i'm playing off-stream too. I dunno, I'm playing a strength build and even with a colossal weapon the jump attack isn't breaking poise very often, at least not against the enemies that it would be needed. Small mooks and nights get fucked up fast enough, but bosses with major combo spam just don't stagger. Was also getting annoyed with some enemies moves. Like the ones where you roll through 1 swing and get caught by a 2nd faster swing that happens when you're still recovering from the first roll. Doesn't feel fair when you're picking which attack you're getting hit by. That's kinda why I find it kinda meh, it's better than DS3 in terms of world space and originality but in gameplay it feels like it takes the worst of DS2 (Large mobs and ranged enemy spam) and the worst of DS3 (Reskinning, Demon's Soul character vs Bloodborne enemies, enemies with infinite stamina and stupid poise levels) and put it into one game. The thing I love about ER so far is it's open world. But I kinda dislike that you don't know you're in a high level area until it's too late. Think I'd prefer an immersion breaking enemy level next to their health bar tbh. Should point out, I posted in here and gave a negative steam review after my first session, which was 11 hours of playing, the game is growing on me but I'm still somewhat disappointed. Had to roll my eyes at some of the reskins. Imps are DS3 Thralls, Erdtree Avatars are Stray Demons and Giant Dogs are just Watchdogs of Old Lords from Bloodborne (or Sulivahn's Beasts from DS3). Also reusing Giant Crabs, Basilisks, and the exact same Rat models going as far back as DS1 is lazy. It's a shame because there's a lot of cool enemies. As much as I hate fighting them, the Rune Bears a cool

Finished a second fallout NV playtrough. Had a lot of fun. Despite the personalization being mostly cosmetic, the vastness of the world, all possibilities, great character design and cool feelling gameplay makes it great if not top notch. On the minus side, it clearly miss dialogues with NPC aknowledging your progress, but yeah, seems impossible to do in such an open world. Also, i should have done a legion run, but felt impossible again cause i like to kill them too much and missed the opportunity to talk with cesar / 150 Hrs, so i sure hope i wont redo one
