Ookay, that doesn't make any sense, but I guess I can ignore it since these aren't bad news.

Because the same quarians had to retrofit their Live Ships for battle due to lack of resources (and they were ready to bet their existence in MW on that attack), apparently built new Ark in the meantime.

I literally JUST had to make this clear to a person on reddit. The Quarians didn't build it on their own...the Andromeda Initiative isn't a group of individuals, its a group...period. That means EVERYONE within the Initiative has access to the funds and man power required to build the Arks.

Well tbf, the Quarian government wouldn't be providing the resources as the AI is funded entirely by private investors. The Quarian people didn't build their Ark, it was provided to them by the AI. Therefore, the Quarians would still be struggling for resources in Me3.

Boo! I wasn't expecting much, but "The Quarians have their own Ark that just so happens to contain all the other missing species" is a pretty lazy excuse to leave them out until the next game. But at least it's better than some sort of 'reconnecting to the milky way' rubbish.

Maybe, but I can't see them adding Quarians, Drell, Hanar and other species all in a single DLC. I mean, it's possible but "we won't see them for some time" made me think years, not months. The only bright side to this is... If the Quarians have their own Ark then they have a pathfinder, right? Yes please!

Oh god that salarian's voice acting was AWFUL. It sounds like the most unenthusiastic teenager I've ever heard.

Well, now it seems we know what the Mass Effect Andromeda: The Lost Ark book will be about. I still think that said book will focus on one of the other Arks. I just can't see them focusing a book on the Quarians and the 'B' races coming to Andromeda. It 's a very weird premise. That and the book has been renamed "Annihilation", and I can't see them killing off the Ark that contain literally every other species people want to see.

Did they switch authors and start from scratch? Because the author of Annihilation and The Lost Ark are not the same people.

The only issue i can see is these species have much lower population count the drell only have about 300 000 people left i think so their arc wouldn’t take many people and that means they wont have much chance to breed and thrive in andromeda. Also the quarians would most likely be wiped out within a few generations do to disease. Unless they have brought some sympathetic geth along to help them adapt like they Geth did with the quarians in ME3.

So they crammed all the rest of the species on a single ark? Wow... shows what galactic leadership and AI really thinks about these species.
As for population, i wouldnt worry that much, you only need about 2000 colonists for a viable population, at least among humans. not sure how it goes with these aliens. Also id think they have embryos on board too for easier population expansion.

While I am glad that BioWare did leave an "in" for the other species of the Milky Way to make the trip, it does feel a little thrown together at the last minute. Also, is that Salarian VA overdosing on sleeping pills or something? He sounds like he's about ready to fall over. I do hope that once we finally do get around to seeing aliens like the Hanar and Elcor again, that they are NOT just used for comedic relief and we can get some serious, straight faced narratives out of them. Still no indication of the Rachni making the trip though

Im sure eventually well find something similar to the rachni in Andromeda, its a huge galaxy.

Plus, as indicated by this "other guys" Ark, it's not like the Andromeda Initiative is operating on any form of logic anyways. Also, the Rachni could be a valuable asset to any colonization attempt, even if one didn't view them as anything more than creepy monsters; though I won't bog down the thread with that discussion. From a meta standpoint, I want my favorite alien species to show up again, and not some cheap, off-brand Rachni either

Not only are the rachni pretty much on hostile terms with every other known race in the galaxy (even if it was a misunderstanding), they can also be killed off in the first game, remember. So unless Bioware just wants them there and does a complete asspull, i see no way of including them in Andromeda.

Seeing how willing they were to play mad scientist with the Yahg, I could easily see them bringing over some test tube Rachni into the new galaxy. There is also the possibility that the Rachni themselves have already made it to Andromeda. They are the oldest known species in the Milky Way after all, older than even the Protheans, and aware of the Reaper threat.
