While trailers and previews getting mixed responses I wanted to know what is your expectation from this game, why will you buy it (if you will)?

The characters. If not for Garrus, Tali, Wrex, Miranda, Joker, Liara, and many others, it wouldn't be Mass Effect.
I'm fairly certain everybody agrees that the characters are what make Mass Effect such an incredible franchise.

tbh I think everything is important to me but the bit that concerns me most atm is the gameplay specifically combat and the lack of pause to aim for powers purely because of my disability is going to make it hard for me to use those powers properly compared with the trilogy. Other than that I'm happy with what I'm seeing. As it looks like it's going to be an interesting story. so I don't think any of the other areas will disappoint.

Plot is what our goal is - the story revolves around our goal and characters flesh the story out. So i feel like story should be an alternative. Those 3 things are the most important to me however.

That's a tough one. I went with characters since they're the most important aspect, but a good plot and gameplay are very close in importance. I'd probably go with a balance of those three if I had control.

"Characters" "Get the fuck outta here, I'm trying to shoot sum N*****" Plot all the way but I was tempted to choose "graphics" just because the terrible animations and models deserve to be made more fun of. The target renders never even looked good despite high fidelity.

So I guess most people have more or less given up on the "plot" aspect in advance?... I don't know about that as I think that's one of Bioware's strong points ME3 ending aside. Its usually an area where they're pretty strong. So it becomes less important to worry about. The areas that should be important aerwhere for me is where the game may need some attention like in the combat areas and the new power/combat systems as I'm not entirely sure people will be happy with the new system.

Definitely the characters for me, although I'm hoping for a good plot too. The characters made the original Trilogy and it wouldn't be a Mass Effect game without them.

I gave up on plot long ago. For me it's always been the characters in the ME series with Gameplay second. My concern this time around is that more emphasis has been placed on gameplay at the expense of what? Budgets aren't unlimited so something was given less attention. I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be like Fallout 4 where Bethesda streamlined the RPG aspect and focused more on the Shooter aspect.

Cuz, I played those Fire Emblem games on 3DS and they had nothing but character focus... yet it was awful because there was no plot to make any meaningful connections out of anything.

All of the above. from what I have seen so far, ME:A will be hitting a sweet spot in having everything rather decent, if not exceptional, so will make for a nice gaming experience. Plot, as noted by a poster above, is the only thing I am uncertain at this stage, as it is hard to judge before playing, and well, Inquisition was what it was.

Plot, as noted by a poster above, is the only thing I am uncertain at this stage, as it is hard to judge before playing, and well, Inquisition was what it was. Comparing Mass Effect Andromeda to Dragon Age Inquisition is an apples to oranges comparison. Both franchises have a separate team of writers. The faults of one team won't necessarily be the faults of the other. David Gaider, who was the lead writer of DAO, DAII, and DAI, was inconsistent in my opinion. DAI, in many ways, was him wanting to wrap up DAII because he wasn't able to do his big story expansion that was planned for that game. The Mass Effect trilogy was spearheaded by Drew Karpyshyn for ME1 and ME2 until he departed for BioWare Austin to help work on SWTOR. Mac Walters took over lead writing duties on ME3, but now he's in Casey Hudson's position as the Creative Director. Chris Schlerf, who was the lead writer on Halo 4, was in charge of writing the main story for Mass Effect Andromeda. He had no prior history with BioWare, so whatever he came up with should be refreshing and new.

ME to me is all about character and character development, and obviously the story. Im hoping Cora or Drack will have the same effect to me that Garrus, Tali and Joker had....the same... mass effect...il show myself out.

Well after me1 and 2 my main attraction to ME games were the characters. But after ME3 and watching the videos on characters for Andromeda my focus have switched to MP and gameplay. Andromenda, as far as I've seen, has nothing to offer but gameplay, and MP is built around that. Watching liam's loyalty and other vids I see writing and dialogue have become cringy, and the awful oneliners have made a return from ME3. So my vote goes to gameplay, because it's the only thing that has gotten better not worse.

I've been getting a bit of a Garrus vibe from Jaal based on what I've seen of him. Drack seems like your typical krogan and Suvi seems like a mixture of Tali and Traynor. I haven't seen anyone remotely resembling Joker's humor so far, but that could change as we progress through the game.

And, yes, Gaider is Gaider. ME stories always attracted me more than DA, and as long as the team honors what I liked about the franchise, and that's compact story with multiple points of choice that ends up with changing the outcomes of interesting threads throughout the game, not a one track story with a couple of binary work for/with party I vs party II that changes nothing till you can kill or redeem the Evil Overlord, I am happy. If at all possible, I won't mind dodging amnesia, but I know, it's asking too much in a video-game.

I have to go with gameplay. The characters and plot are important to the success of the game to be sure, but it was the gameplay that kept me coming back to ME 2 & 3 for many playthroughs long after I had gotten everything out of the story and characters. Gameplay is also the reason I, as someone who doesn't normally play MP games, logged around 1200 hours in ME3MP.

Gameplay makes everything else possible. Doesn't matter how great your characters are if the gameplay sucks.
And in many ways "gameplay" and "multiplayer" are interchangeable.
