Playing Russian & Polish versions in English

Soo... it is either vpn / having a friend ( from the us or uk ) who will log in to your account and buy the version you want / buy the region locked version and pray that the file switching works?

There's no risk. You don't steal anything from them, you just buy the game (and you spend MORE money). I've been playing VPNed DAI for 3 years (including DLCs).

Ofcourse, there's no 100% guarantee, but at this point VPN technically = 'a physical copy from the other region' (which IS the 'recommended route' according to the quote few posts above). After all, the restriction was meant to prevent EU players from buying the cheaper game, not to hard-lock us. May be one day EA will consider improving their software - I've got many region-locked titles on steam, all of them having English as an option.

Anyway, the EN files are ready, and I'm going to keep them updated. Any viable solution to our problem will get into the OP asasp too.

Last I checked. GMG for me was selling it cheaper than Origin does. If I assume their price is in USD even with currency conversion to Nz dollars it's 81 vs 99. So I don't know how it can be more expensive.

If I buy in pounds it's 41.99 which is 52 usd

I'm sure people will figure out how to reintroduce English sooner or later. I watched few Russian game-play vids and translation is not THAT bad, i can live with it. Much of the dialogue tree is intention coded anyway so you always will know what you going to say without relying on the accuracy of translation. I'm not playing value equivalent of ~100$ for ANY game just to get English text.

I've mentioned that - payments don't normally go through vpn\proxy connections, one has to disconnect from VPN first. VPN s only needed to put the proper item (='international MEA') into the basket.

Question. If someone logged in to my origin account via webpage and bought the game being outside the region locked countries, then would that give me an international MEA copy? Or would that someone have to be logged in to the Origin App on the pc?

Well well, I day-one bought all BioWare games ever since the original Mass Effect (ie. ever since I got my first paycheck).

I'd have overlooked the ME3 ending, the negative reviews of Andromeda, the soul that BioWare has given away to Electronic Arts.

I will NOT however stand being treated like a second-tier consumer when I'm asked to pay a price on par with what the British pay.

Maybe it's for the better because you've been drowning in mediocrity of late, but it's quite the way to end it. A 30-kilobyte file that you already have but just won't allow me to use.

It's not working.

Either because the trial files and the release files are not the same ( I only have the TRIAL en. files), or because they had complicated the things even more....the DAI solution does not seem to work!


Please, anyone, we need your RELEASE EN.files from the 'loctext' folder(s) to check it out!

I'm sad, depressed and I officially hate EA (more than usually).

Anyone smart enough to help with identifying the issue and\or suggest the work around is welcome.

'Fun' thing is that I still HAVE 20 mins of the FUCKING ENGLISH TRIAL! I've been playing for 9 hours, in English, with the same preloaded client. Almost hoping that full game is English too.
