I mean 'press the 'buy' button, pick your payment methods etc, but do NOT finalize the purchase while on VPN'. That's how I tried to do it. No luck.

mmmkaaay. Welcome to the real world.. It's not working. Either because the trial files and the release files are not the same ( I only have the TRIAL en. files), or because they had complicated the things even more.... the DAI solution does not seem to work! Please, anyone, we need your RELEASE EN.files from the 'loctext' folder(s) to check it out! I'm sad, depressed and I officially hate EA (more than usually).  Anyone smart enough to help with identifying the issue and\or suggest the work around is welcome. 'Fun' thing is that I still HAVE 20 mins of the FUCKING ENGLISH TRIAL! I've been playing for 9 hours, in English, with the same preloaded client. Almost hoping that full game is English too.

Just call EA help and ask them to switch your version to English one.
Seriously.
I did that recently - they switched my version of DAI to English without much fuss (though do check if they connected all your addons and potential DLCs to serial number - when they switch regional versions, these things can get unplugged, so have the person you call/chat with pay attention to that, unless you want to pay for paid additional content again).

Why would I lie about it? And no, I didn't play the "dumb customer" - I've had a different issue. The customer service person asked me if there's anything else I wanted to ask about and I was like "actually..." It was really that simple. But maybe it depends on a person in customer service we stumble upon.

I've got it, going to update the link in the OP soon. May be it would help. I could not stand it any longer. I've refunded the local version already. In case anyone is interested - cdkeys.com price tag for the normal global is 41.5EUR. More than our regional price, but less than Origin VPN. Can confirm that it's not a fraud (my Origin had already accepted their MEA key).

any news Nrieh? i just had a chat with ea and they will and cant do anything with the language, once bought, then it stays like that they said fucking sucks that my good friend in russia bought it to me as a gift, now locked. feel bad for him even spending that money.

Refunded my russian version of the game too. Activated new game key, everything seems to be in order, but my game still launches as russian trial... Repair does not work. Reinstalling the game now. Did anyone have the same problem?

Trial is not same as game, check your lib. Had you added your full game to Origin?
If you have trial in Russian - it remains Russian, no matter what. I had it vice versa - English trial + ru game. You can also check launch settings - English version has no Russian at all and is set into English by default. You should be running masseffectandromeda.exe instead of masseffectandromeda trial.exe!
I'll update my link in op within an hour or so, and add all the known possible (and impossible ) ways and fixes

When I click "Game properties", I see my new activated WW CD key. But when I launch/install it, it runs as russian trial.

I'd assume some kind of bugged leftovers from the Russian trial. Try renaming or deleting the 'MassEffectAndromedaTrial.exe' then run the other . exe and see what happens.

Tried. Nothing happens. Game won't run at all. I noticed that when I click MEA in my library, play button is not active. I can run the game from my desktop only.

Many had reported this bug today. It's common in Russia (not sure about the other regions). In some cases MEA pretends that it had not been relaesed here just yet, in some cases it even has a prompt with the '23.03' as a release date.
I've seen it this morning too, had to run the 'repair' feature + relog into the origin. Some say that swithcing the language in the client (not in game) to\from English had worked for them.
