Playing Russian & Polish versions in English

Oh no, I'm not calling you a liar! The key word would be 'recently'. At some point they had removed the DAI language restriction (GOTY version is region-free), and now the game's been out for years already.

It's also known that EU MEA players that want Russian in their game had asked helpdesk to switch into the RU version, but were denied. Even with EU version being more expensive. They were basically told to go and buy the Russian key elsewhere. I don't see why would they change it vice versa (give EU for RU).Trying won't hurt though.

I could not stand it any longer. I've refunded the local version already.
In case anyone is interested - cdkeys.com price tag for the normal global is 41.5EUR. More than our regional price, but less than Origin VPN. Can confirm that it's not a fraud (my Origin had already accepted their MEA key).

Refunded my russian version of the game too. Activated new game key, everything seems to be in order, but my game still launches as russian trial... Repair does not work. Reinstalling the game now. Did anyone have the same problem?

Hmmm, You can try asking for Origin help. I've heard that they sometimes remove trials and demos from people's libraries upon request. That might solve the problem. I don't think it hurts to try. I'll see if I can find other cases like yours.

It can't be (because it can't be). EU version does not include Russian language at all.
Are you sure you're not missing another non-trial 'Andromeda' icon in your library? What do you see when looking at 'Properties'--->'advanced launch properties'?

I'd assume some kind of bugged leftovers from the Russian trial. Try renaming or deleting the 'MassEffectAndromedaTrial.exe' then run the other . exe and see what happens.

Many had reported this bug today. It's common in Russia (not sure about the other regions). In some cases MEA pretends that it had not been relaesed here just yet, in some cases it even has a prompt with the '23.03' as a release date.

I've seen it this morning too, had to run the 'repair' feature + relog into the origin. Some say that swithcing the language in the client (not in game) to\from English had worked for them.

Well, this is new. I've tried SoftEther VPN Client Manager. Connected to the Russian Federation server. And it launched. English version and all, but when I disconnect VPN, button is gray again... HOW?

First off, NRieh, thank you for sharing en files. Have you guys had any luck editing them? Strangely enough, I have no problem editing .sb files, but when I try to open .toc ones with notepad++ (latest version), the encoding is all messed up, so I can't replace /en/ with /ru/. I even asked a friend to try to do the same just to be sure this problem is not on my end.
Too late to refund for me now, and I'm kinda wary of buying keys from third party sellers anyway, so I guess I'm stuck with the crappy translation. Not a big deal for dialogues (although I do prefer to glance up at subtitles once in a while), but when I read the codex entries of emails or whatever I can't help but wonder if they messed it up like Kaidan's letter in ME2 where (in ru translation) he had to fight alcoholic addiction (I'm not kidding).
