Somehow, I have a feeling that such altruistic friends are rare to find.  But if what you say is true (region-locked RU\PL account can run the RU\PL copy of the game as the EN game), then it's just an extra evidence that solution does not involve decrypting the .toc-s or changing the loctexts. It's about the bloody string stored elsehwere. And now as I think of it - when I had refunded my RU version and attached the EN key, integrity check did not redownload any of the files. |

Hey, I am interested in acquiring Polish subtitles to a global version. I tried to follow the same scheme as per Russian version but it did not help. I decided to attempt getting Russian version, to find out whether it works at all. I discovered that only replacing the .exe file (which was uploaded by a fellow Russian here: dropmefiles.com/6AKBE) allowed me to play in Russian version. However, I still have not fulfilled my goal - here you come. I would like to kindly ask any of my fellow Polish/Russian friends to share Polish .exe file, similar to the one in the link I posted here. Thank you in advance! |

Had anyone already tried full scanning & file-by-file comparing with the game folders? I could run tests on mine (EN), but we'd better use the same utility for both versions, and I don't have anything like that installed at the moment. Anyone with the Ru\Pl copy willing to try - let me know, we'll make it happen. I would like to do anything to help myself and possibly the whole community to get rid of this horrible translation. I have a Russian version here. Done all the tricks I could do, including registry, file swap, path change, exe swap. I broke the game one time, but couldn't do anything more. If you could tell me what to do - I'm ready and willing. One last thing I haven't tried is to download full English client and run it. Maybe swap it to Russian for MP part. But I hope it won't come to that. |

I've got it working with simple file replacement and registry edits (from this post. I run origin in english though, so I only had to change game's registry key. Renamed en loc files to ru and also left en files in localisation directories. Running with english exe didn't work at all, game asks for a repair, so I put original exe back in, and it worked. Language options in game do not have anything besides english now. Proof. |

It's not really 'The Solution', but an option that some people might want to use.
1. Install the VPN. You may use any. I use flyvpn. Proxy plugins like friGate may also do the trick.
2. Connect to the remote region of your choice. Mexica used to be cheaper, but not any longer.
3. Go to the origin web-site.
4. Add the game & proceed up to the point where they ask you to confirm the payment. Do NOT try to pay while on VPN.
5. Disconnect from VPN back to your normal connection, finalize your payment.
It's also possible to follow the same scheme with the Origin client.
Pros: It's as 'official' as non-official way of buying the game can be. You're buying from Origin directly. Refund is possible.
Cons: Price is high compared to the RU version. You're going to lose your preorder and\or deluxe items when switching to normal digital. Your 'deluxe' saves with those items won't load ('preload' saves seem to work fine, but I need another confirmation on this one
At what point exactly I should disable FlyVPN for it to work? Can you describe how/where exactly you bought English version? Please. |

When I tried with FlyVPN: When I try to buy with it "ON" - they say, that they can't verify my Credit Card, if I switch it "OFF" - they say, that I need to re-login, and if I do that - I'm back on RUS Store  |

OK, the lastest solution worked for me, BUT - I already had: Registry was set to en_US due to having an English Trial that later activated in Russian full game. All language files were already present in folders - also due to having English version of Trial. So, I just renamed old .exe to _ru.exe and pasted the provided .exe from English version in game folder. So, What is this .exe? It's size is exactli like the one I had before, but it is... in English? HOW? |

Perhaps it's from int version, but filesize is identical to another ru exe that I checked. |

Also we need to find an origin of this .exe file. So we know which file to use after future patches. |

I have english me3.exe on me PC that outlived all patches, DLC, depression after watching final, depression after extended final...
Alsi, this file is the exact same size as the one I have, the one that runs a RU version.

I compared the files and found one difference, it changes en to ru in the exe, so that's why polish version doesn't work.

Try this: 1. close the Origin (if open) 2. log into flyVPN 3. run Origin 4. pick MEA-->buy--> chose the payment method (in my case it was mastercard tied to the account) --->proceed to 'review the order' and leave it be 5. disconnect from flyVpn and return to your normal connection 6. press 'pay now' Let me know how it works. I don't want to actually buy anything from Origin at this momet, but I know 100% that button remains there after swapping the connection E.g. that's what my Origin 'reveiw order' window still looks like after the short 'VPN-trip' to UK for 'Unravel', even now, as I'm 'back home again'. |
