Playing Russian & Polish versions in English

No, don't get me wrong, that's absolutely fine! The whole point of uploading them was to share, but later on their thread had some other links from several different sources, and I've lost the track. This one seems identical to mine, but I can keep both if you want me to. At this moment there is the 'magic' one.

I assume you can. There's that thing called 'account history and billing' in your Origin. And if that one does not work - you can proceed with any random order, add new card and save your payment method without finalizing the order.

Tutroial:
1) Download en.toc and en.sb
2) Open MassEffectAndromeda.exe file in any hex editor, find the line
native/_data/Data/..;...ar-sa...pt-br...en_uk...en_us
change it to
native/_data/Data/..;...ar-sa...pt-br...en_uk...ru_ru

Works perfectly for me.

well if i change the en_us to pl_pl i dosent work

At that point I had issues too, I had to contact their support (which were fast and helpful). Most likely they are going to reset the verification process, see how it goes. If for whatever reason they don't work for you - many other sites have similar prices, and cdkeys will just cancel your order.


Whuch editor are you using? You need hex-editor to do that.

ps: I'm not updating the OP just yet, waiting for more confirmations\errors to show up. Will do that tomorrow.
Please, if you're posting the 'working\not working' comments, don't forget to mention your editions, regions and the file source! E.g. '*this method*, worked for me, RU Deluxe edition, files from the OP'.

I have wordlwire version without polish subtitles...

I tried russian files from the beginning of this thread and it works, but even with hex-editor and change "ru_ru" to "pl_pl" in .exe file - polish version does not appear...

And english is not my best language... as you can see...

Confirmed to be working for Russian, too. At least after I've repaired my install and edited the original exe. 

Russian offsets at the time of writing this post (though it's probably easier to search for the ru_ string and go from there):

001a4d48 to ru_RU (72 75 5f 52 55)
001a4d80 to en_us (65 6e 5f 75 73)
0042b680 to ru_RU (72 75 5f 52 55)
0042b6b4 to en_US (65 6e 5f 55 53)

Now THAT would be great!  
But for now, would you people share your ORIGINAL and EDITED exe-s (Russian, Polish), so that I could update the OP?  

I need:
1. Original RU exe
2. Original PL exe
3. 'fixed' RU exe, confirmed to be working with the region-locked version (assume got that one covered - that's what  'magic exe' was)
4. 'fixed' PL exe, confirmed to be working with the region-locke version 
(it should be clear which is which)

The steps would be:
1. download the original en files (toc, sb)
2. replace the exe (or edit one with the hex editor, making the changes as mentioned above)

Correct?


I think it would be better to provide a link. And also add some comments for those who are willing to fix the files, so that they would not poke the HEX blindly. What are they loking for and what are they replacing?


If that's OP you're talking about - the link does NOT have 'russian files', it had files from my EN copy + the doctored RU .exe (meant  to bring English into RU copy), they do have PL language set, however. 

Reg-editing was used to bring Russian subs into English game, so it might work for you too. I assume you'd need the original Polish exe (which I don't have, but some people around might share), and I'm going to reupload the original English exe, try again and let me know.
Adding Russian into EN game did not require any hex-editing, from what I remember, must be same true for Polish too.
