So how often have you guys ran into bugs like duck walking Ryder and dead enemies stuck in T poses? I played the trial on Xbox One and honestly I only saw one occurrence of an enemy walking weird and that was mid-battle. I didn't notice any stuck in T poses. A couple of times the facial animation for Sara Ryder's mouth looked a bit dodgy but she never walked like a duck herself. Strange eyed humans is a thing with some of the NPC's although I didn't notice this with any human squad mates. The largest bug I saw was when I attempted to start with a new Ryder after reaching the gated critical path in the trial and in the cut scene after waking up she was merged with another NPC sitting on the bed. I could also hear audio from the game playing softly in the background of the initial starting sequence. Fingers crossed this is fixed at launch.

So how often have you guys ran into bugs like duck walking Ryder and dead enemies stuck in T poses? about 3 times in total of 4 hours, especially when encountering stairs, but its not just ryder, other characters to it too!! not encounter the T poses though.

It was an overall fun experience. I personally found that there was a nice balance in exploration and content. Improvement on the facial/eye animations I assume will be had as time goes on or at least I hope, but overall, it wasn't as unbearable for me as it was for others. There were some quirks to the MP, but overall you got a really great base to add, improve, and patch on. The primary issue that I honestly cannot be lenient about is that I am not able to manually save during priority missions. Would GREATLY appreciate the option to do so very soon please as I like to explore areas, try out different dialogue options, play on higher difficulties, without having to backtrack so much.

I haven't been able to find the deluxe edition content in game. I got the pathfinder bonus stuff, but not the pre-order or deluxe content in game. They are downloaded to my xbox one, just havent found them and I played it up to the cut-off point.
I pre-ordered it on the xbox one in February. have everything downloaded as far as I know.

I'll lay this out as I remember encountering things in the game. I played the full 10 hours (although a frustrating 3 went into the character creator alone) and here is what I thought.
CC is super limited, no matter how hard I try I can't get a skin tone that isn't at least tanned which is a little disappointing because I'm super pale and usually customise my characters as such, you can make some beautiful looking faces across the board but this seems to be ruined by both the lack of hair options and their solid colours but mostly by the "dead eyes" characters seem to have, with the combination seeming to ruin any character I tried to make.
The gameplay and story is really good from what I played, I explored a lot so I never finished up to where the story gets capped, characters are amazing and all have been pleasant to talk to, including npc's dialogue wise. The facial animations aren't the best but again what really takes me out of the experience is the "dead eyes" some have. Environments are gorgeous, the jet pack is very good and I really like how characters will comment on the extend you've explored a certain section of the game. There have been multiple occasions however where my jetpack has landed me in a ditch my character can not escape from or glitched me under buildings which either made the game freak out and start an endless cycle of loading or forced me to reload from my last save. Which brings me on to the save system. I don't usually mind autosave functions but when you go off exploring for 30-45 minutes and then have to repeat it all because you've gotten stuck and the games hasn't saved then it's super frustrating. Even situations like scripted combat after exploration where you assume the game would save for you incase of a death can result in loading way back before you explored any of the area you just fine combed which was really frustrating and really killed my sense of exploration.
Also I've not seen anyone mention this so I'm unsure if this a bug but the front of the trams that transport you around the nexus look very badly rendered on XB1. The front seems to just consist of a series of triangles that rapidly change colour which threw me a lot when I first saw it because compared to everything else in the game it just looked awful.

Trial time is up, just wanted to post a few requests for future patches.As well as a few bugs I came across.
-Please let us turn motion blur and depth of field completely off. -As many have said we need a better save system. Saving anytime except for when in combat should be the way to go. Too much backtracking currently -As much as I like traveling through space and seeing it all move, it does need a speed boost.
And few bug reports -Tempest crew would ask to talk to me then have nothing new to say -Artfacts or super low res shadows on many hairstyles. Suvi and Cora suffered it alot in certain cutscenes/dialogue. -Characters have some crazy leg glitches sometimes. Stairs and hills seem to be biggest triggers.
Overall the trial left me satisfied and wanting to play more. The story and characters have drawn me in. I just hope the bugs and tech issues can get cleared up quickly.
Also forgot, not sure if it's texture load delays or maybe resolution scaling being funky. But in many scenes one shot would have high textures the next low. Peebee encounter was a big one. Her face was constantly going from high to low res

So, I had no intention of using any of my 10 hours on single player. Well, what had happened was........I was sitting in front of the tv just getting ready to play when my wife walked in, wanting to talk. Not about anything in particular. Just general conversation. Well, I didn't want to be rude so I put YouTube on to play in the background while we conversed. After awhile, a MEA Character Creator video came on and she watched it and gave comments on the player's custom Ryder. After awhile, she said, "Oh, make yours!" So she sat on the couch while we tried to make versions of ourselves as the Ryder twins. Then, she said, "Now you gotta play it to see how they look." So I started the single player campaign. She watched me play the Prologue and then she went to bed. I kept playing. Now I'm at the first open world planet. The game is flat out fun. Fun enough to where I don't notice facial animations. I, personally, haven't seen any jank either. But yeah, the game is fun and as far as I'm concerned, that's far more important than having every animation be pitch perfect.

To reiterate with emphasis - Please fix whatever is up with the eyes. Rework the diffuse mapping so they don't always look completely flat and plastic - Please give as many animations as you can a second pass to improve the eyebrow and eyelid movement even if that patch won't release for half a year. It really needs more work.

Ok, I'm just on the first planet still, so this is very early impression. I'm maybe an hour in, but I do have a few thoughts. Cons: -Facial animations/lip syncing. I know it's been said, but it does deserve saying. It's...not great. Sometimes it's rather good. Sometimes it's quite jarring. It's nothing that will detract from my enjoyment, but it is a thing. -There does need to be the ability to alter Ryder after the CC. All I need is to lower her mouth a little, but I don't want to restart the whole game! Seems like a quick fix. Not a biggie, but I think it'd be very much appreciated. -Not being able to manual save is a real bummer. If I'm exploring, I want to be able to save where I was when I was exploring, not rely on autosaves in such a vast game. That's really about it for the cons. We'll see if I get different impressions or need to add more as the game goes on. Pros: -Writing is great! I like Liam a lot more than I thought I would. There are funny moments, serious moments, everything. I'm really enjoying the writing! -Combat seems really great! I need to get used to it a bit, as it is quite different from ME3, but I'm enjoying the freedom the jumppack gives me. -Art/setting is beautiful. Habitat 7 looks amazing. Very alien, very gorgeous. -Cora is a spacebabe. -Story seems very compelling and I can't wait to see more! Really I'm loving the game so far! There are too many pros! Scanning is fine, not tedious. I enjoy the descriptions of things I scan. I'm very much excited to learn more about Andromeda! So far I would probably give the game a 9 or 9.5. Facial animations are a must-fix for future installments, but everything else so far I'm loving. I'll keep you updated, and thanks for caring, Tiberius!

Overall impression is very good, I'm happy I'll enjoy the game, in fact I've stopped playing around with the single player because waiting until Wednesday night to continue would irritate me. I'm not going to comment much on story, characters, dialogue only because I think it's far too early for a proper opinion, they all seem fine so far.
The particularly good: - The combat's a decent step up, even in early days I'm enjoying it more. - The exploration aspect is looking good, landscapes to bomb across, rocks to climb, stuff to find, happy with that. - I like the quick over the shoulder conversations, they work for me in a way that either no/more limited zoom in, or a cutscene for every short exchange doesn't. - I loved the view in the first shuttle ride in the story.
The slightly annoying: - Yup, the poor old character creator gets it in the neck again. I'll say something nice about it first. I'm not good at designing characters and I don't approach it with a particular image in mind, and frequently I find it hard to make a decent looking face, but I had no trouble putting together a Ryder I liked. My problems were with the eyebrows being unchangeable and any hair colour other than dark brown, black or grey looking very artificial, both in terms of colour, and application. It looks less like hair and more like someone's slappped a coat of paint on their head. - The occasional dodgy animation. Facial animation has been mentioned a lot, my pet peeve there is when eyes start moving from one focus to another for no good reason. Other animation, without being spoilery specific, an early action scene where some people seemed subject to inertia and some not so much.
Thing I hate: - Inability to freely quicksave. Why? What is it with this? I can accept you can't do it mid conversation or mid fight, much as I'd like that, but when I'm just stood there and nothing's happening? If I need or just want to stop playing right this second and go do something else I want to be able to do that without losing any progress. I did this a couple of times and the autosaves weren't badly timed, I didn't lose much, but why lose anything? I don't see what's gained by this not existing.

It was better than what I thought it would be overall. I guess I shouldn't have whined so much. Keep in mind I'm on a minimum spec pc and I was playing around with the graphics settings...which caused issues with framerates and other stuff. First it's structured the same way DAI was, but the intro is way more fleshed out and you can explore more ...also *cough* the Breach. It's blue this time. So a + because it's a more polished and fleshed out experience and a - because obvious re-used stuff are very obvious. Combat, I did not enjoy all that much, part of it is performance issues, and part of it is it simply feels messy. Compared to ME3, you had mooks with shield, phantom who could backstab you etc etc...here it feels like a bunch of boring mobs with too much hp.(or it could be that the peashooter guns we are given at first are depressing and we have one power with a huge cooldown) Cover sucks. I almost died a couple of times because NOPE it is not intuitive and standing behind a cover like object doesn't put you on cover all the time. The flying machines (on the first main planet)were harder to deal with somewhat. Talking about not intuitive...the menus. And the different systems. It felt over-bloated and over-complicated and it can be interesting if there's some payoff and if it makes sense. I didn't feel like it made sense to scan a crate and gets points to build Milky Way weapons. I enjoyed the talking with everyone that takes 3 hours. I did not find the writing *bad*, there's a couple of cringe worthy lines...but the overall situation makes sense, it's not the end of the world scenario, it's more the other way around. Now it's very been there, done that character wise but the twist of being important in rebuilding a ME like universe in Andromeda is engaging. Jet pack replacing normal jumping I'm not fond of honestly. Also I can't jump on the ship or Nexus...come on. Mako driving totally sucks on the keyboard. It made me ragequit after a while. Exploration is good and bad. Good because you can find non marked stuff like caves with interesting content...bad because it could turn very DAI, and I mean emptyish and the games give you actual good story reasons for things being like that but that doesn't change the fact that desert are deserty. Also Mako, stupid hazard zone gating, and random ketts group. And no, running over Ketts with the Mako is not as effective or as fun as it should be. Did not touch the CC, but I agree with everyone else, it's very poor compared to DAI. I actually enjoy scanning more or less...but I don't pop up scanning mode all the time. Please put a quicksave. Seriously. Animations. Sometimes it's wonky. I don't mind honestly but the faces Sarah and Peebee were making during her intro were...special. Some important npcs faces. I don't mind wonky animations or reused random npcs but it looks like Gil, Suvi and the female human leader on the NExus were made in 10 minutes with some bad CC creator. Also Suvi looks like Chucky. And the Make up. Some effort in main npcs , specialy those who are part of the small crew of the ship would have been appreciated. Anyway first impression is very good for me, but I will say it's impossible to judge this game only playing those 10 hours. The start of the game is meant to be bare-boned somewhat, at the very least the Nexus and the golden worlds...there's no way to tell if putting everything back on track is going to be fun or a massive pain in the rear , or even if the pay off will be worthwhile. I'm a completionist type of person and I enjoyed DAI and it seems like a potential way more fleshed out DAI/ME hybrid baby. I will probably have fun unless the story take a massive nose dive, the Mako make me blow a blood vessels or if I can't save during an annoying fight when my framerates drops.

- Overall Graphics (It honestly LOOKS like a 2010 ME2 expansion rather than a 2017 game. ME3 even looked better than this)
- No player controlled Spaceship combat (It's way past time for this to happen in this series)
- Story (Honestly, it's sort of weak. Did you have to hit every single overused sci-fi cliche?))
BOTTOM LINE (so far):I'm pretty much ok with most things, but the animations and character creation are absolutely horrid.

A better way to introduce people to the evade mechanic A warning when you change a keybind that is already used(Changed MMB to scan and didnt know it was on evade lol) MAJOR WARNING when there is something that we can scan nearby, it is so easy to miss the tiny icon on the bottom left, something bigger would be helpful Insanity warning, because we are used to brain dead AI in previous games this time it could be useful to suggest that the AI on insanity is improved, the kett are a pain to deal with in some areas where they surround you and charge with gatling guns, but pretty fun none the less.
I honestly didnt mind the animations much, i am more intrigued by the mystery, the story and the characters.

Now. I thought the brown Alec Ryders for all presets to be a bug, but I just looked on youtube and it's not.... :/ Pardon me? The only caucasian Alec is if you pick default Scott and Sara, which we can't even customize. I thought at least preset head 9 would work as it's the closest most of us white people can make look like us and yet we get Morgan Freeman. Who is awesome, but looks nothing like my dad XD
I appreciate the effort you put in to have believable ethnicities, however I'd like to at least be able to customize default Sara/Scott if all presets stay this way.

I wasn't too optimistic going into it, but I'm loving the game so far. Granted, I'm still to go to the first actual planet, I'm about 2 hours into SP and I just played my first Apex mission, but I'm happy with how the game's turned out. I do agree with some of the criticism here, such as the CC and the facial animations, which are better than I'd expected them to be. I'm not too sure about the whole scanning aspect, this'll likely become a bit of a chore later on in the game. None of these are outright gamebreakers for me, however. Overall though, combat is fluid and the graphics are beautiful even though my PC isn't the most powerful. Most importantly however, I agree with the comments saying that the game feels like Mass Effect. Also, either MP is tougher than I'd expected, or I'm a lot worse a player than I thought. A few additions, having finished the SP part of the trial: - A bug that was mentioned by others as well which is really immersion breaking is the fact that crewmates are addressed over the intercom, in my case by Lexi, who are not a part of the crew yet. Very silly stuff. - Secondly, scanning is proving to be a bit tedious already, and I hope the looking for gliphs doesn't expand throughout the entire game as this will quickly become a chore as well. - Multiplayer isn't going too smoothly for me. The bronze levels are fine, but whenever I try a silver level one the game completely freezes, or at least my teammates do, and constantly switches between my keyboard and my controller. - Also, even though I'm playing on normal difficulty, the enemies I face are ridiculously accurate. On time I was standing on a rock quite a distance away from some enemies, and they constantly hit me with their assault rifles, barely missing a single shot. - The Nomad is pretty cool. - All the Asari look the exact same as Lexi, besides Peebee, with the only difference being the markings. Apparently they are now given the same treatment as Turians, which makes no sense. - Another issue is that the link between SP and Apex doesn't work well for me. If I select a multiplayer mission via singleplayer, I never receive SP rewards. This can be avoided through selecting the mission via the MP menu. Still, it's a little strange. - The galaxy map looks awesome, but doesn't make a lot of sense. According to Kallo, you'll travel to your destination once it is marked, however the game already travels to the cluster before you've selected the planet where you want to go. This makes travelling tedious, as you have to go through several animations in order to finally select your destination. - The Tempest looks quite nice, both the exterior as well as the interior. - One thing I found which is a spoiler for a task on the nexus: The decision you make in regard to Nilken is far too black and white. The decision given to the Pathfinder, to either release a man who attempted to kill someone or to exile him outright on the charge of murder, makes no sense. Even in our present day we have a term for that, attempted murder. This would mean that there should be an alternative punishment, not either exile or release. The mentioning of Tann that Nilken will receive community service for attempted murder is laughable. For a game which wanted to get rid of the paragon/renegade system and move to a bit more of a grey area, this is definitely not what I expected. - Last thing I wanted to mention is that even though I selected the Deluxe edition when downloading the trial, I didn't get any of the preorder or deluxe edition goodies. I did get the rewards for completing the training, as well as the loyalty rewards. Overall though, the game is enjoyable. It will not win GOTY and it will unlikely be the best Mass Effect game of the series, but it's a pleasant way to pass the time. If I was asked to rate it, I'd go 7/10. Hope that helps, Ian.

About half-way through my 10hr trial and really enjoying it. Haven't hit MP yet apart from the tutorial mission.
On the upside, I'm loving the energetic feel to it. New squadmates are refreshing and different and like the dialogue/banter between them. Opening planet was different and certainly felt 'alien', so it hit the mark there. Combat is certainly harder - much more of a challenge than I expected which is no bad thing. Having the throw power certainly helped in the combats on Habitat 7, that's for sure.
There's not too many downsides so far - I didn't bother with CC as everything I tried just seemed off/funky looking when compared with what you could do in the ME trilogy. Odd animation glitches I spotted here and there but not too bad generally. Menu arrangements are a bit weird and don't feel as intuitive as they could be which has caused a few niggles. The main issues though I have are actually controller layout related, with there no longer being a sprint button and the way cover works. I'll get used to them, I guess.

Sooo... there isn't much to say that hasn't been said already. I really love the game, in a lot of ways it's exactly how I wanted it to be. Yes facial animations are bad, but that doesn't bother me all that much. Even though we've just scratched the surface of most characters, I'm really liking everyone so far; I think I can safely say I like Liam and Cora a lot more than Ashley and Kaidan. The voice acting from pretty much everyone is great.
I also love how much this feels like an actual RPG. I was kinda afraid that the scanning and collecting would be boring, but I'm finding myself really enjoying it. It's a great blend of all the elements so far and feels very good balanced.
Just a note on the CC and a few people have mentioned this aswell: PLEASE, for the love of god, make it like the Black Emporium. Though I actually really like my Ryder I'd love to tweak a few things and have more options overall and I'm roughly 6 hours in, so I wouldn't want to start all over again.
Can't wait for the 23. and discover the rest of Andromeda!

I haven't been able to find the deluxe edition content in game. I got the pathfinder bonus stuff, but not the pre-order or deluxe content in game. They are downloaded to my xbox one, just havent found them and I played it up to the cut-off point. I pre-ordered it on the xbox one in February. have everything downloaded as far as I know. Ive also had this issue from the response I had is we should have played the delux version of the trial. So it shoul dbe unlockked when the game goes live you unlock it in your pathfinder quarters next to sam

MY BIGGEST DAMN GRIPE out of the few if any with this game is your squadmates AI. The AI is literally suicidal. The squad's AI was never that great in the OT but the ability to manage and order them to use powers to attack enemies and setup combos was always a great addition. In Andromeda that's been gutted out. Why? I have no clue. I can't tell you how many times Garrus using an incapacitating overload has saved me from being flanked, or Liara using a stasis bubble stopped me from getting Kai Lenged by a phantom. In Andromeda, I have none of them. Getting gangbanged by 3 Kett, Liam doesn't use an omni grenade till the last enemy. I capture 3 out of 4 remnant in a singularity, Cora charges the only one outside the singularity, saying fuck the potential combo detonation that could've happened. AI troubles are probably less noticeable on lower difficulties but on Insanity, it's just goddamn infuriating. When cover is necessary in firefights I order my team behind it so they can stay alive, but for whatever reason they'll eventually walk out into the open and get shot up till they're downed. The AI is suicidal and most firefights goes from a 3 v (insert enemy spawn number here) to a me v (insert enemy spawn member here) because if I don't babysit each and every cover piece I want my team behind they'll just walk up to an enemy looking for a handshake. If I could control their powers i.e using Liam's Omni grenade, or Cora's charge when I want to, that'd make up for it. But I can't and half the time they're useless. Aside from this I'm enjoying the game, but god I really got drove up the wall when I kept dying at a remnant vault cause my team was useless. Also the autosave system is bonkers. You can't manually save on crit path missions and the game automatically saves literally every other 3 hours. So when I die because of these firefights I don't respawn right before it, I respawn 30 or so minutes later when I last scanned a pile of dirt or something. I really want Bioware to look into this and change it. I can tolerate alot of the other hiccups with Andromeda because I love the game so far, but things like this are a bit jarring and irritating.

Tiberius, a specific piece of feedback over the 'Auto-saving' during Priority Missions. If people understand a little more about the 'autosave mechanic' (because there clearly is one),: this information would enable those with concerns to deal with the situation whilst any pending decision over a change or otherwise is made. Knowing whether auto-saves are triggered after: - Conclusion of combat
- A period of time
- Level up
- Any type of skill upgrade
- Some other trigger we don't know
Would be really helpful.
We may not have quick-save, but understanding that auto-save trigger better would be great, please.

So how often have you guys ran into bugs like duck walking Ryder and dead enemies stuck in T poses? I didn't see either of those in my trial playthrough.

Having played a little over half of my trial time:
-The CC is terrible. Not sure what the thinking was there, but it's bad. I didn't watch any of the CC videos beforehand so I went in with positive outlook. That's gone now.
-Really like all of the characters I've met so far. Voice acting is great, as always.
-Even on my crappy GPU the game looks nice, so I can't wait to see it once my new one arrives.
-I haven't noticed any animations yet that were horrible, they aren't great in some cases, but nothing too jarring.
-Combat is really fun. (I play on super easy mode though.)
-I agree with the not being able to save issue. 2 kids and a husband means I often have to log out abruptly. Not being able to save my progress right then while I'm on a mission is going to get old fast. I hate having to repeat stuff like that.

So after my 10 hour trial I have a lot to say about this game, There are negatives as well as positives but the positives far outweigh the negatives. First, bioware said this is a spiritual successor to ME 1 and I feel they have nailed this tone and setting. I’ve very engrossed in this story and its setting is compelling. There are a few weird narrate choices i.e. why bother with andromeda in the first place but I think it will be addressed later in the game i.e. the leadership knew abut the reapers. I cant comment on the main villain or the other species but it is very good to have this. The combat is amazing, playing vanguard really felt risky and rewarding the enemy ai was good as well they actively tried to flank me. The jump jet and vertical aspects are well handled and set up very interesting combat scenarios. The nomad and the exploring are good and have a good feel to me
Now there bad there are issues but not game breaking, most of these issues seem to be technical which is fine I mean it’s annoying but no triple AAA title releases without bugs. I’m not sure EA one engine approach is working, I mean frost bite does amazing environments but I’m not sure it was designed for close up face animations. Although the other species seem to have good facial animations its humans and some asari who have these issues. Also the CC is ass the tech behind the presets has increased and peope are making good custom ryders but not having a CC which was in a game built 2 years ago on the same engine is crackers.
In summary I think this is a great game and a true spiritual successor to ME1 of course these are my opinions and people can take it or leave it but I had the first game back in 2007 and have played all the trilogy multiple times over. More times than anything other game. This feels like a Mass effect game to me and that’s what counts.

My 10 hours were cut way too short. After two hours of gameplay I left the game, and when I booted the game back up I got a notification to say I had less than 8 hours left, which was cool. But when I tried to resume the game, I was told to purchase the full game and directed to the store. I couldn't load my play through, start a new one, or go to multiplayer. I was so sad. The game hadn't even finished installing. From the time I began downloading the game, to the time I got to my problem, it had probably been 3/4 hours, couldn't possibly have been caused by the install time. I didn't stop playing at any time other than when I had to run an errand, which only took a few minutes. It was so tragic.
But other than that issue which I believe is your fault, I had a great time. As limited as the cc was , I was able to make a character that looked good, though the lightest skin tone was still really dark. Ryder's charm and charisma was so appealing, she was coming out with some great lines. Liam Kosta is a god among men. The story was really intriguing and I didn't get impatient and lost like I did with ME3.
But still, my time with the trial was ended too soon without any good reason. And I'm bitter af right now

I didn't see either of those in my trial playthrough. I meant bugs in general how often did you see any? I definitely noticed the awkward walking and dead eyes, squirrely-eyes, and weird grimacing/smiling. Other than that, nothing too crazy. Yet.
